Harlow takes Griffin’s hand, declaring, "We'll get dinner started."

Griffin, however, protests, stating, "We haven't finished choosing which pink yet." Harlow shushes him and urges him to out, telling him they can later. Once they’re gone, my husband takes the time to check me over very thoroughly, as if he didn’t just see me a few hours ago. Though it’s nowhere near what we’d like to do to each other, it’ll have to hold us over until tonight. Pulling back, he asks how the preparations went.

  "Everything is ready to go."

“Then let’s get you fed. We don’t want you to be late for your big night."

"I'm just the instructor, this is all about the girls."

“And they need you at the top of your game."

As we draw closer to the kitchen, we hear the others trying to corral the kids, which reminds me I need to set some rules for the rest of the evening. “No fighting with Griffin about the party or and shipments. There’s currently a verbal cease fire.”

Luka chuckles, but agrees they’ll both behave. He’s given me the world, never hesitating to do anything to make me happy, but none of that compares to him giving me his heart.

  Epilogue Two

  Luka- Five years after that…

I admire the pictures of our own children and that of her students scattered about while I wait for my wife to join me. Pretty soon, she might need a bigger office to contain them all. The photograph from our wedding ten years ago catches my eye, especially as it was not only heralded as a special event in our country, but also because all of the kings and their families were in attendance. Returning it, I sit in her chair and stare at the nameplate proclaiming her Dean with a proud smile. Since creating the Petrova Dance Academy, she’s worked tirelessly, putting her heart and soul into making it a success. And it is, becoming the most prestigious dance school in the country.

The Petrova name garners two different reactions now. On my end, fear and the knowledge to not to fuck with me and mine. On hers, grace and impeccable taste. Her kind heart and ease with people more than makes up for my lack of manners.

Business has never been better, and my territory now encompasses all of Russia, though I’ve given some to Enzo to control. Thanks to the massive network and partnerships with the others, everything runs smoothly. In fact, our interests are now equally legal and illegal, all of which keep us quite busy, individually and as a group.

Tonight, we’re attending a charity event as we hope to begin offering scholarships and expect not only politicians, but also high-ranking members of the underworld, so to speak. Of course, money talks, so no one will care about how they made it. In my opinion, for the most part, their roles aren’t that different anyway.

Already wearing her formal gown, Maya comes in, even more beautiful than the day I met her. "Sorry. Some girls were having a disagreement." Her smile changes to the stink eye as she realizes where I’m sitting. “You’re in my seat.”

With a grin, I inform her, “I was merely getting comfortable until you got here.” Removing her purse and cell from a drawer, she urges me up and toward the door, reminding me we can’t be late. Doing as I’m told, I let her know, “Smith texted. He and Poppy have arrived."

  "Who has their kids?"

"Boden. You know how much he hates traveling." He’ll do it, like our ceremony for instance, but he avoids it whenever possible.

She nods, then states, "I hope the guests dig deep in those wallets and hand over all of it."

I laugh, loving her enthusiasm and determination, always willing to go the extra mile and then some for this place. I have no doubt she’ll raise her goal and more over the next few hours.

Linking arms, she locks up and we head to our ride. Life has been a whirlwind between starting our family, this school, my business, and visiting Harlow and the others, but I wouldn't change it for anything. Thinking back to my childhood, wandering the streets unsure where my next meal would come from, I never dreamed I could be so happy. And I wouldn’t be if it wasn’t for Maya.
