“So, get the facts before you affirm,” Owen clarified.

“All this self-priority crap of being the new deity is bullshit, Owen!” Ron expressed.

“I expected that from you, Ron,” Geogyn said. “You head a military base. Your entire career is based on authenticating before you execute. That's healthy. Illogical, but healthy.”

“How are my determinations illogical, God Boy?” Ron asked, with doubt worn over his words.

“One, you weren't listening. I told you Time is God. I'm just the overseer of this realm. So the ‘God Boy’ statement is irascible. Number two, you're still alive enough to be uptight. The only reason I allowed your survival, is having my mission metamorphosed because of justifiable happenstance,” Geogyn broke down the particulars.

“I still don't believe you,” Ron said.

“You're not supposed to at this juncture,” Geogyn said. “I would question your reputation if you did.”

The group was silent. No one knew what to say. Geogyn broke the quiet.

“That is the conclusion of my mission debrief,” Geogyn said. “The extra information was to extinguish your dread of the perceived inevitability.”

As Geogyn turned to leave, Ron quickly asked a question. “What do we do now, Geo?”

“Gather evidence for unquestionable belief, and be honorable,” Geogyn instructed. “I'll be watching.”

Before he walked out the door, he became invisible.

“You're going to wear that N.O.S.E. gear out,” Ron said.

“I'm not wearing N.O.S.E. gear,” Geogyn revealed.

Ron was astounded, because Geogyn had on a standard Battle Dress Uniform.

“That should be the first shred of evidence to the veracity of my claim,” Geogyn said. “Keep acquiring affirmations, until your belief is indisputable.”

Ron was born skeptical. That's what made him an exceptional director. It kept his vocation valid and needed. Making the decisions he did make him uniquely invaluable. Replacing him was an impossibility. Geogyn told him implausible things but didn't request him to just believe. He offered him a choice of investigation before believing in the unfounded.

Even if Geogyn was a few bullets short of a full clip, you had to respect his conviction to resolve the inconceivable.

“You don't have to become stealth,” Ron told Geogyn. “I'll radio Ghost Alpha, and tell them there's no threat. They'll just let you walk out.”

“You could tell them, but I've decided to leave out the back door,” Geogyn said.

There is no back door to my office,” Ron said. “Oh! You mean…”

“Leaving the same way I came,” Geogyn confirmed. “Goodbye… my friends.”

Geogyn left to execute his arrangement with Galvin.

The office became silent. The only sound was the two men breathing.

“How do we know he left?” Owen asked Ron. “He could just be invisible, standing in front of us.”

“Didn't you feel him go?” Ron queried. “I know I just didn't experience that anomaly by myself.”

  Owen felt Geogyn's presence leave.

“We were in sync on that one, Ron.”

“Damn him for leaving,” Ron expressed. “Bless him on his future endeavors.”

Owen looked past the door as if seeing into the future.

  “Amen.”

  Afterword

Well, it’s done. My story has been completed. Granted, it's a little ‘out there’, but at least it's done. I had a bit of writer’s block on this one for a while. It got away from the comic book, into a compelling novel.

The execution of this story has been tumultuous, calamitous, and distressing. That's why it took so long to complete. The dynamic word, at this juncture, is, FINISHED.

This story was born from controversy. Many religious patrons took it too seriously. They never even thought about it being an action self-revelation story.

Granted, the story had a religious shell about it, but military missions, covert stealth, radical organizations, the paranormal mixed with science, and Tesseract time cube theory were the more ‘meaty’ parts of the story.

The tough part of this story was the plausible causality of completing a plot which made sense. If it didn’t, your suspension of disbelief gets decimated.

Writing fiction is a tricky huntress with razor-sharp arrows. If you don’t follow the rules to make it a good story, implausibility and plot holes abound. We work hard to alleviate those gremlins.

If I couldn’t slay those pests, your belief in Geogyn wouldn’t be earned by me. We write for entertainment. We don’t want you to nit-pick our stories. That’s the antithesis of enjoying the story. I always want you to have a ‘good’ read. Some (most) of you just go to the movies for your entertainment. I’d say around 70% of movies stemmed from books. Why do you think there are so many movies weekly? Ender’s Game, A Wrinkle in Time, Jaws, and The Hobbit is just a smidgeon. I knew who T’Challa was a decade ago. Rick Deckard took on Replicants before I was born. A lot of stories were page-turners way before the box office receipts.

Reading is more so a visceral getaway than a movie. The reason is all the multiple channel surround sound, the big screen, the big stars, and the amazing story can never beat your imagination.

Thank you for enjoying my tale. I have more. Kyle’s mind-blowing fiction books. And there’s more on the way. I like to tell stories. I’m hoping you want to read them.
