Metal Mage 6 Page 23

My cock was rigid and slick for her, and when Deya clawed at my thighs for more, I finally tilted her hips and buried myself in the elven beauty. She spasmed and gasped, and the heat of her body throbbed around me as I moved deeper with every thrust.

Deya’s creamy breasts heaved as I looked down on her writhing body, and I clutched the meat of her thighs while she wove her hips rhythmically against me. Her eyes burned up at me, and she bit her lip with pleasure, and when she told me to go deeper, I pulsed hungrily inside of her. Then I bent to pin her beneath me.

I delved my tongue into her mouth and held her down as I pounded into her until she shrieked in ecstasy. Every inch of her trembled in my grip, and her orgasm sent a jolt straight through me as her hot flesh convulsed around my cock. I hadn’t expected her to climax so fast, and I wondered how many more times I could do it for her.

Then Deya moaned my name, and I left a teasing bite on her lip to make her quiver once more.

  “Say it again,” I commanded.

Deya pulled me to her and sighed my name against my ear, and as I sank my teeth into her neck, she braced her arms on the ironwork above her head.

My thighs burned as I thrust harder and harder, and just as I released my hold on her, Deya shivered and screeched with pleasure. Her whole body jolted while I held her hips down and let her cum for a second time, but I wasn’t done with her yet. I flicked my tongue across the peak of her pale pink nipple, and as she let out a desperate whimper, I pulled the flesh deep against my tongue.

Deya’s nails dug into my back, and I looked up to find her cheeks flushed with arousal.

  “Roll over,” I growled.

Deya giggled and obeyed, and as she tilted her hips up for me, I took her hips in my hands and slowly slid my cock along her slick entrance. The woman got wetter as I kept teasing her, and then I watched her shoulders tremble as she let out a low moan.

  “You want more?” I asked.

I slid myself halfway inside of her, and when Deya’s back arched in pleasure, I heard a soft “yes please” fall from her lips. I immediately took a firmer hold on her hips and didn’t ease my thrusts until she began to claw at the black velvet to brace herself. Then I stooped and locked her against me with one hand clutched around her breast and buried my teeth in the taut muscles of her shoulder. I drove myself as deep as I could, and when I finally came into her tight center, Deya climaxed immediately.

Her shriek echoed off every wall in a way I’d never quite heard before, but I didn’t loosen my hold on her until I’d emptied myself inside of her womb completely, and she trembled in my grip with exhaustion.

The beautiful elf let out a sigh when I pulled out of her, and the minute she rolled over with her soft pink curls slicked with semen, and my teeth marks dotting her slender neck, I wanted more.

I groaned and dragged my hands along her silky thighs, and Deya giggled. Then she pulled one of my hands up to trace circles around the bud of her nipple. She was still flushed, and her eyes glinted playfully as she bit her lip.

I chuckled and slid my other had to her clit to get her ready for more.

The fireplace was only embers when Deya was finally satiated, and she lay curled against my chest while she slept. Her soft pink hair was strewn across my arm, and I trailed my finger along the hollow of her back as I began to drift off.

Ruela let out a low whine from her place in front of the smoldering fire, and I grinned at the ceiling.

Then I heard a soft “shhhh” come from across the room, and I whipped my head to the side.

  Chapter 15

For a minute, I thought the fire had relit itself, but the glow that came from the fireplace wasn’t amber. It was silvery and had the iridescent sheen of diamond dust, and my heart began to pound despite the sense of calm that washed over me.

I would have jumped out of the bed if it wasn’t for the beautiful elf curled up in my arms.

Deya sighed as I carefully slid my arm from beneath her, and I blindly pulled the black velvet blanket up to cover her naked limbs.

The goddess Nemris crouched before Ruela’s massive paws as if she knew the wildish beast well. Her glittering silver hair cascaded around her figure and grazed across the hearth at her feet, and the slit in her sheer purple dress split to expose her thigh all the way to the supple crease where it joined with her hip.

I worked to steady the tremble in my hands while I stared without being able to look away, and every step I took brought the thrumming in my ears to a new level as my veins began to course with a longing to be closer to her.

Ruela whined once more and thumped her tail as the goddess cupped her head in both palms. Then the wolf boldly sent her giant tongue out to lay a sloppy kiss on Nemris’ face, and a soft giggle I’d heard a dozen times before left her lips.

“Nemris,” I breathed as I came to her side.

When the goddess turned to look up at me, her eyes seemed to glow an ethereal purple while galaxies spiraled in their depths, and each burst of a supernova danced across her silvery lashes as she blinked up at me.

I was light headed by the time she stood, and every fiber of my being began to vibrate the moment she reached out with a soft smile on her lips. The goddess’ touch sent an electric shock through me as she wove her arms around my bare back, and although her skin felt like cool water against mine, heat somehow ignited everywhere our bodies met as she pressed herself against me and looked deep into my eyes.

“I’ve missed you, my love,” Nemris whispered.

I tried to take deeper breaths, but the sensations wreaking havoc all over my body were almost too distracting to bother with rudimentary things like breathing or blinking. I could only stare and hold Nemris in my arms while I let the familiarity of her presence wash over me.

“I thought you left me here,” I finally admitted, and my eyes roved all over her to be sure I wasn’t dreaming. Her sheer dress was made of the finest material I’d ever seen, and her breasts glistened beneath the purplish veil that split in a deep V down her front. I tightened my hold on Nemris’ slender waist, and as her glittering silver hair brushed across my skin, it sent sharp sparks through me that left a static trail along the hairs of my arms.

Nemris let me hold her flush against me, and as I looked into the galaxies of her eyes, they slowly drifted to my lips. Then the goddess leaned closer to brush her silken lips against mine, and my heart almost stopped as all of the air left my lungs. Swells of cold and heat warred inside of me, and as Nemris kissed me more deeply, my entire body began to twitch lightly as the sensation took over my senses. I didn’t know how long she held me against her like this, but when she finally pulled away, I remembered to breathe just in time to keep from passing out.

Nemris let out another silvery laugh while I worked to catch my breath.

“I could never leave you,” she told me.

Her words brought a relief I didn’t know I needed so badly, but I could actually feel the last threads of tension unwind themselves from my spine, and a heady calm bloomed at the base of my neck before it spread through my skull and across my skin.

Then the goddess gently rested her forehead against mine, and a shiver rippled through me as I finally found I could breathe more easily. My eyes fell shut, but even without her unbelievable beauty distracting my vision, her presence and her touch almost overwhelmed me.

“When I didn’t hear from you for so long, I thought I’d already failed,” I told her. I opened my eyes and found a sly smile on the full lips that lay only inches from my own.

“You seemed to have everything under control,” Nemris replied, “until you let your head get in the way. But you’re only human.”

I straightened up and studied her face carefully, but it was impossible to discern her meaning with the swirling void of her eyes glowing up at me.

Nemris pulled one of her arms from around my waist, and as she gently grazed her palm down my neck and across my chest, she almost looked amused.

  “Your se
nse of honor is one of the things I love most about you,” she told me, “but I am exhausted with trying to make you see sense.”

I sighed. “I know … ” I admitted, “the elves are a waste of time. I just thought if I could get them to understand the threat of the Master, then--”

“I’m talking about Deya,” Nemris clarified.

  I blinked. “You … what?”

“Deya,” the goddess insisted. “Knowing you as well as I do, I assumed when you arrived at House Quyn you would see her and have to take her with you, but then you left, and then you warred for ages over what to do, and I finally had to turn House Aelin inside out just to get you to see sense.”

I furrowed my brow. “You’ve been shoving me toward Deya all this time?” I asked uneasily. “Wha … you do know about this law, right?”

“Of course,” Nemris said, and her face was suddenly solemn. She unwound herself from me and took both of my hands in hers, and my skin where her arm had been resting felt like a trail of ice was left behind. It tingled lightly as I let the goddess bring me closer to the fireplace, and when we sat on the floor, the embers began to glow brighter. Soon they flickered with the blue tongues of flames, and then they burst with a flash of gold as the fire was re-lit entirely.

Nemris settled herself with her legs tucked beneath her, and her slender thigh gleamed from the slit in her sheer dress. She slid her gaze down my bare body for a moment, and I saw a glimmer of lust come to the glow of her eyes. I didn’t mind her admiring glances, so I let the goddess look me over, and when her eyes met mine again, she sent me a mischievous smile.

“I always find it hard to visit you,” Nemris admitted. “There is so much that needs to be said, and although my time is so short in this realm, I want to spend every moment of it with you between my thighs.”

My heart slammed in my chest, and my blood surged southward, but the goddess shook her head coyly at me.

I groaned. “What could possibly be so important I can’t make love to you right this second?” I asked.

“Deya,” she said once more, and my attention was derailed.

“Alright,” I allowed, and I forced my frazzled mind to settle. Every inch of the tantalizing goddess glistened, but I focused on her face and took a few steadying breaths. “Why have you been pushing me toward Deya? You must realize every army in Nalnora is going to be after me for what I’ve done.”

“It doesn’t matter,” Nemris said impatiently. “None of that matters, only Deya.”

I furrowed my brow slightly. “Why?”

Nemris’ hands tightened on mine, and the liquid chill of her skin almost felt like a burning against my own.

“I can’t bear to let them destroy her,” she said softly. “I love her too much. When I tried to show you what would come of this law, I thought you would see and refuse to let this happen.”

“When did you show me?” I asked in blank confusion.

  “Your dream.”

My chest clenched. “That was real?” I asked nervously. “I mean, that’s really Deya’s future? The tower and the baby, with the elves dragging her off … ”

“Yes, Mason, they will destroy her,” Nemris assured me. When she continued, my limbs began to go numb. “Unless she destroys herself first. You have to protect her. This cannot happen.”

“I … I don’t know how,” I admitted as panic began to wash through me, but with a gentle stroke of the goddess’s thumb across my hand, calm seemed to course through my veins once more.

“Don’t think so much,” Nemris said with a reassuring smile. “You act with your heart. This is why I know you can save her, and you must.”

I nodded, but confusion clouded my thoughts as I considered the goddess’ plea. “Can I ask you … why you would do all this for her?” I tried. “I know Deya’s worshipped you all her life, but what made you …”

I trailed off as another mischievous smile came to the goddess’ face.

  “Look at me,” she said.

I furrowed my brow. “What is it?”

“Do I look … familiar?” Nemris asked, and she let a silvery giggle fall from her lips.

The sound hit me like a freight train this time, and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end as another shiver coursed across my skull. She had the same smile, the same laugh … even the ethereal glow of her eyes was tinged a curious shade of violet.

“What are you saying?” I finally managed, even though I knew the answer.

Nemris glanced toward the bed where Deya’s pink hair plumed across the black velvet, and her slender thigh peaked out and gleamed in the firelight.

“Her great grandmother was my daughter when I lived in this realm,” the goddess said softly.

I stared. “You lived amongst the elves?” I asked incredulously.

Nemris nodded. “Yes, many eons ago.”

My mind raced a mile a minute. “Then Deya’s bloodline … ” I breathed, “is your bloodline?”

“Yes,” the goddess replied, “and she does not belong to the elves.” Her voice was tight while she worked to keep her tone steady, and I noticed the glow of her eyes became more vibrant as she continued. “Deya belongs in the world between the realms, with me.”

“She’ll be a goddess one day?” I asked, but my head felt disconnected from my shoulders, and I couldn’t seem to keep my jaw from going slack.

“My daughter didn’t live long enough to ascend to the realm of the gods, and neither did her daughter,” Nemris explained sadly. “I’ve had to watch the elves destroy them all one by one, but I can’t bear to let Deya fall to the same fate. She has a destiny that could change the cosmos. She must live and thrive in this world, Mason. She cannot be taken. Dragir has guarded her for many years, but he has his own destiny to fulfill in this realm. I know I can trust you to keep her safe, to change the course of her fate here. Please?”

  “Anything,” I answered immediately. “But I just … I can’t believe she’s descended from a goddess … from you.”

I stared at Nemris in shock, but as I looked over the soft strands of her silvery hair cascading to her lap, and the natural pout of her lips, I almost couldn’t grasp how I’d missed the likeness.

I chuckled. “Well … actually I can believe it. A few things make a lot more sense now.”

Nemris smiled. “I love her,” she told me gently, and her words spiraled through my mind like the galaxies I watched in the depths of her eyes. They sang like Deya’s laugh as they echoed, and the importance of the beautiful elf’s fate suddenly didn’t scare me. I didn’t care about the elves or their laws. I looked at the goddess, and every worry dissipated into dust.

  I nodded. “I’ll protect her, I promise.”

The goddess gently placed her hands around my neck to pull me to her, and when her silken lips met mine, another jolt of electricity ignited there. I gripped the sheer fabric at her waist to steady myself, and then I let the otherworldly sensation of her touch surge through every limb.

Then Nemris suddenly released me and stood with a sly smile.

I grinned and moved to rise, but she was already beginning to fade before my eyes.

“Nemris … ” I tried, and I wound my fingers in the delicate fabric of her dress.

“Be careful,” she warned. “The elves will not hesitate to destroy you both if you do not act wisely.”

I nodded as she trailed a slender finger down the side of my face.

“It’s time for me to leave,” Nemris said gently. She was almost transparent now, but a thought suddenly sparked into my mind, and I tightened my grip on her dress.

“Wait,” I said abruptly. “Deya’s mother. Where is she?” I feared the worst when the goddess’ face became unreadable, but I asked anyway. “Is she in the mountains? Did she escape?”

Nemris’ eyes flared a deep violet as she looked toward the bed. “Deya’s mother chose to leave this world a long time ago,” she said softly. “She is many realms from here now.”

  My throat cau
ght as I recalled Nemris’ warning about Deya destroying herself. I could only nod in response, and the goddess looked back to me with sadness etched on her beautiful face.

“Protect her, Mason,” she whispered, “you must change her fate.”

The goddess stepped back, and I let my hold on her release as she became as faint as a shaft of sunlight. I turned back toward the bed where Deya lay sleeping, but when I’d made only a few steps, I halted and quickly turned.

“Aurora,” I asked the shadow of the goddess. “Who were her parents?”

The faint glimmer of Nemris’ eyes still glowed before me, and they sparked for the briefest moment. Then a mischievous smile spread across her face before she vanished completely.

I stared at the place where Nemris had been for a long moment, and my thoughts whirled through everything I’d heard. I thought I’d only come to this realm to defeat the Master, but I’d never dreamed Deya’s fate was entwined with the cosmos and the world between the realms. Now Dragir’s watch had ended with me, and I would have to continue while I sought to uphold my promise to the goddess.

When I returned to the bed, Deya’s face was slack in sleep, and the subtle pout of her lips struck me as more familiar than ever. I grinned and climbed in beside her, and the beautiful elf sighed as she curled her slender arms around me.

The last thing I remembered before I fell into a deep and tranquil sleep was a light kiss grazing my chest.

Then I woke up to a tight grip on my shoulder, and Deya was shaking me awake while an obnoxious knocking sound clanged in my mind. I groaned and opened my eyes, and Deya’s bare breasts were inches from my face as she stooped over me and shook me awake.
