With Us (Next Generation Book 2) Page 11

by J. M. Walker

We were now on our way home after leaving the clubhouse and both of us were wired. Shade was right. We should have brought Meadow home with us. But as much as we wanted that to happen, we needed to give her space just the same.

Shade’s phone dinged then. “We won’t see her for the rest of the week. She has an emergency job for the center.”

  “Baking I hope.”

  “Yeah.”

I breathed a sigh of relief. I didn’t like that she worked at The Dove Project. Not with Tanner sniffing around the place. I didn’t know what his obsession was with it but if his threat rang true, those innocent victims would be worse off once he got ahold of them.

Tanner was a sick fuck and I wouldn’t put it past him to be worse than the people who ran the human trafficking rings themselves. They ran from monsters only to fall into bed with the Devil himself. I just hoped it never got that far.

My chest constricted. “We need to make sure we have guys watching the center.”

“Greyson’s on it.” Shade’s gaze flicked to mine. “You know that. You were in the meeting. Remember?”

“Right.” My jaw clenched. I looked away. Once we finally pulled up to our house, I swerved the car into the driveway, turned it off, and rushed from the vehicle.

  “Sunny.”

Ignoring Shade, I ran up the steps, unlocked the door, and barged inside.

“Sunny, what the hell?” He kicked the door closed, following me farther into the house. Our house. A house we had moved into together so many years ago. A house that held so many memories. Us sharing women. Fights. Laughter. So much damn happiness but most of that was fake. We weren’t happy. At all.

  “Sunny.”

I spun on him, forcing him back a step. “Why?”

“Why what?” His eyebrow rose. “What’s going on?”

I closed the distance between us. In a quick move, I had my hand around his throat and his big body up against the wall.

“Why are you with me?” I finally asked. “It can’t be because you’re happy.” My voice was low, rough. “You want to continue sharing women for the rest of your life?”

“No.” His brows narrowed. “I want to continue sharing one woman. Meadow. That’s it. She’s all I want.”

“She’s young. She won’t stay with us forever.” I released my hold on his throat. “She’ll find someone younger. Someone who can give her what she wants.”

“We are what she wants. She needed help and she called us. Remember?” Shade searched my face. “Where’s this shit coming from?”

I pushed away from him. I didn’t answer because I didn’t know. I was too old for this but at the same time, I was fucking terrified that it would be a repeat of the hell my ex-wife put me through.

“Sunny.” Shade stepped in front of me. “Talk to me.”

“I don’t want to fucking talk.”

He placed a hand on my arm, letting it travel up to my shoulder before cupping my nape. “Tell me.”

“Shade.” My body vibrated. I reached out and touched the scruff on his jaw. “No.” I shoved away from him and sat on the couch. “I can’t do this.”

“Fine. Keep telling yourself that, Sunny.” Shade headed down the hall to the bathroom, the sound of the shower starting a moment later.

“Fucking hell.” I pulled my phone from my pocket and opened my last text to Meadow.

  Me: I don’t know what I’m doing.

I hit send before I could think twice about how desperate I sounded.

  My phone rang.

I jumped, not expecting Meadow to actually call me. “Hey.”

“I’m here, Sunny. Whatever you need. I don’t care that we just met a few days ago.”

I sighed. “You’re something else, pet.”

“You keep telling me that and I’m going to get a big head.” She paused. “Listen though. Whatever you want to do, he’ll let you. He’s patient. Shade loves you.”

“I know.” I dropped my head in my hands.

“I won’t be jealous, if that’s what you’re also worried about, but I would like to join eventually.”

My body stirred at the thought. “I’d like that too.”

“Good. Now get off the phone with me. Take it slow. Kiss. Touch. Fuck. Drink a couple of beers. Watch a movie. Whatever you want. Just know that he’s not going to leave you.”

“How do you know all this when you only just met us?”

“Call it women’s intuition. You guys seemed to figure me out rather quickly. Remember?”

My cock hardened as the memories of Shade calling her out on feelings she wasn’t ready to reveal and then fucking her in front of me.

“Now hang up, Sunny,” Meadow continued, pulling me from my thoughts, “and I’ll see you in a few days. Oh, and I expect you to tell me all the dirty delicious details.” She hung up before I had a chance to respond.

The shower ended, sparking a need to rush through me. Meadow was right about one thing. I needed more. Maybe not full on sex but I needed to let Shade know that I was in this for the long run. When he had given me a blow job, not that it lasted long, no fear had rushed through me. Taking it slow then was what I needed but I enjoyed when he touched me. And now I wanted to touch him and return the favor in a way.

I only wished we would have met Meadow long ago so she could give me the strength from the very beginning to take this to the next step.

“Sunny, listen, I’m sorry about before,” Shade said, coming down the hall and into the living room. “I shouldn’t press you and I need to be patient. This shit with Tanner is fucking with my head and then Meadow being so damn delicious is also messing with me.”

I shot to my feet and closed the distance between us in two long strides.

“What’s going on?” he asked, his eyes wide.

In a quick move, I had my hand back around his throat and shoved him up against the wall.

“Sunny,” he said, his voice deep.

I stared at him. My best friend. My partner. The only person I had ever let into my heart. But I knew that Meadow could join him. She would be the only one besides him that could crack the icy walls that I had built up around the beating muscle so long ago.

“What are you going to do?” he asked, his voice low.

I let my gaze travel down his naked torso. Although he was in a towel, it did nothing to hide the growing bulge beneath it. I licked my lips, a shiver trembling through me at what it would be like to take our relationship to the next level. I had never been with a man before. Shade had. I knew he would be patient with me. Hell, we had been together for fifteen years and he never pressed for more.

Faint scars sat on his torso from years of fighting. Being a biker was hard, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.

“Why haven’t you hinted for more?” I asked him, reaching out and running my thumb over his hip bone.

A notable shiver trembled through him. “Because I didn’t want to pressure you. I knew being with a man wasn’t your thing.”

“I want it to be.” I took a step closer to him. “With you anyway. But it’s different. I don’t look at you as a man but as someone I care about. Someone who knows me and puts up with my shit. I look at you as my partner and not as…”

  “A man,” Shade whispered.

I nodded. We were just two people who depended on each other. He completed me in ways I never thought possible. I never had this with Roxanne, and I knew that he didn’t have this with his ex.

Pushing my hand to the back of Shade’s neck, I hooked my fingers into the towel and ripped it free from his body before letting it drop to the floor at our feet.

His breath caught. Shade submitted to Meadow the other night and now here we were.

“I like Meadow,” I told him, brushing the back of my knuckles over his lower stomach, his cock jumping at the soft touch.

  “Oh, I know.”

  I smirked. “I like her a lot.”

“I know that too and so do I.” Shade grabbed onto m
y hips but didn’t hint for more. I was in control. He was giving that to me, and I could never thank him enough for it. “I want her again.”

I met his green eyes then. “So do I.”

“But I…” He pulled me closer, but our hips still didn’t touch. “I want you too.”

  “I talked to her.”

His gaze locked with mine. “When?”

“Before you got out of the shower. She told me to take it slow and that you wouldn’t pressure me. I told her I didn’t know what I was doing.”

“I don’t know what I’m doing either,” he confessed. “Sure, I’ve been with a guy but we both know how that turned out.”

“Yeah, you ended up with a man who didn’t want more.”

“Until now.” His eyes became darker, greener even.

“Meadow also said that she wants to join next time,” I said, pressing up against him.

  “Fuck,” he breathed.

“She would enjoy this,” I murmured, glancing down at his full mouth. There was a light pink scar on his bottom lip.

“I bet you can’t hit me harder than I can hit you,” Shade slurred.

  I chuckled.

Greyson paced back and forth in front of him. “How much you wanna bet?”

The memory brought a smile to my face. Greyson had hit him. Hard. And won five hundred bucks because of it. He never kept the money though and gave it back to everyone who had placed bets against his drunk ass.

“What’s that smile for?” Shade asked, searching my face.

“I was remembering how you got this scar.” I reached up and brushed my thumb over his bottom lip. “Feels like forever ago.”

He laughed lightly. “Apparently I thought I was more sober than I actually was.”

  I smirked.

“I wish Meadow was here,” he finally confessed.

My gaze snapped to his. “Yeah?”

He nodded. “We could strap her to our bed and make her watch.”

A sly grin spread on my face. “What would we do while our little lamb watched?”

He swallowed hard, tightening his hold on my hips. “Kiss.”

“Hmmm…” Cupping his jaw, I turned his head to the side in a rough move and leaned toward him. Licking along the length of his throat, the scruff of his beard scratched at my tongue. “I think we would do more than kiss.” I wrapped my other hand around his cock.

He jumped, bucking his hips into my touch.

“First, I would tie her up. Her pupils would dilate because she’s a kinky little thing. And then I would kiss her. Get her nice and hot. Make her fucking squirm.”

Shade’s chest rose and fell, his cock hardening even more in my hand.

“And then.” I pushed my thumb along the tip of him. “I would lower my mouth to her pussy.”

  His breath hitched.

“I would eat the fuck out of her, get her to the point where she’s begging and then I would stop.” I pushed my hips against his, rubbing against him.

  “Sunny,” he whispered.

“Ask me what I would do next?” I pinched the tip of his dick when he didn’t respond.

  He jumped.

“Ask me,” I demanded, pushing into him hard.

“What would you do next?” he finally asked.

“I wouldn’t tell her what we were doing. It would be our present for our little lamb. A treat for her. And then when we’re good and ready, we would untie her and let her join us.” I turned Shade’s head toward mine. “Would you like that?”

  “Fuck yes.”

“Good.” I released his jaw, glancing down between us. “I never thought I’d be touching you.”

“I’m a patient man, Sunny.” He ran his hands up my sides before cupping my nape. “I won’t pressure you into anything you don’t want to do.”

Knowing he was speaking from personal experience, my chest tightened.

“I want you to come for me,” I murmured, stroking my hand up and down his thick length. I imagined Meadow on her knees, licking him, holding my hand and helping me.

“Sunny.” His lips found the side of my neck. “I’ve waited fifteen years for this.”

A surge of anger rushed through me. In a quick move, I spun him around and slammed him up against the wall, all the while keeping my hand on his cock. “You trying to make me feel guilty?”

“Fuck.” He groaned, arching against me. “No. I’m just stating a fact.”

Pushing my arm against the back of his head, I picked up speed with my hand. Rubbing my pelvis into his ass, I wondered what it would be like to be with him. Truly with him.

“Keep your hands against the wall,” I demanded, my voice firm.

His cock swelled in my hand.

Inching my arm around him, I placed my hand on his chest. His heart thumped hard beneath my palm.

Kicking his legs apart, I kept a firm grip on his cock. Inching my hand up and down the length of him, I placed a soft peck on his shoulder. “When you come, I want you to call out Meadow’s name.”

She was going to have a field day with this one. I could already hear the questions leaving her mouth.

“Sunny,” Shade groaned, dropping his head on his shoulders. “Fuck.”

I chuckled, lowering my hand and squeezing him. Wrapping my free hand around his jaw, I pulled his head back and sunk my teeth into the side of his neck. “Nice and hard, baby boy.”

He shivered at the term I had used, knowing he liked it when Meadow called him that.

“You going to submit to me like you do for our little lamb?”

“Yes,” he murmured, his hips thrusting forward and back.

“Good. Wrap your hand around mine. Help me make you come. And don’t forget to say her fucking name.”

He did as he was told, circling his fingers around mine and guiding me up the length of him.

  This was the next step.

  It moved us forward.

I just hoped that neither of us would end up regretting it.

  Meadow

ROLLING AROUND IN GARBAGE was not my idea of fun. But after bringing out a couple of bags from the country diner, I accidentally dropped my phone in the large bin and now I was knee deep in goo.

Oh God, something just slithered by my feet.

I shivered, my stomach rolling. “You have got to be fucking kidding me.”

When something else brushed against my calf, I screamed, jumped, and hit my head on the edge of the bin.

  “Meadow?”

I rubbed my head, stood up, and found Sunny and Shade staring at me. “Oh, hey guys.”

“Care to tell us what you’re doing?” Sunny chuckled.

“I dropped my phone and can’t find it, and I think something’s alive in here with me.”

  Sunny’s laugh deepened.

“I’m glad you find this funny, asshole.” I scowled.

“Let me help you out of there, baby girl.” He reached into the garbage bin for me.

“Fine.” I wrapped my arms around his thick neck. When he went to pull me out, my sandals slipped off my feet. “Oh God.”

“I think you lost your shoes,” Shade said, glancing into the bin.

Sunny held me against him, cradling me like a child.

“I think so too.” I wiggled my toes. “I liked those sandals too. They were comfy.”

“I’ll buy you new ones but I’m not going in there after them.” Sunny laughed, shaking his head.

I couldn’t help it. I laughed along with him. “Okay, you can put me down now.”

“Nope.” Sunny held me tighter. “Not happening.”

“But you’ll get garbage goo on you and I’m sure I smell.” I wrinkled my nose for added effect.

“I don’t give a shit.” Sunny nodded toward the back door.

Shade opened it. “Do you work here?”

“I bake for the owner from time to time. I can’t believe I lost my phone.” I let out a heavy sigh.

“It probably wouldn’t work now anyway if it fel
l into that goo you keep talking about.” Shade poked my ribs.

“Probably not.” I laughed, making a mental note to get a new phone.

Sunny carried me over to a large sink.

Shade turned on the tap and ran a cloth under the water before cleaning off the muck that covered my feet.

My heart swelled at the sweet gesture.

“Better?” he asked, his jade eyes meeting mine.

  “Oh yeah.” I winked.

He grinned, shaking his head. He rinsed the cloth and turned off the water.

“Stand watch?” Sunny said, ignoring the fact that I was mentally fucking his friend.

“Of course.” Shade went to walk away but spun around quickly and came back toward us. “One thing first.” He cupped my cheek and covered my mouth in a hard, bruising kiss.

I sighed, taking his tongue deep between my lips.

“Hmm…” He released me, giving my bottom lip a gentle bite. The sharp pain shot right to my clit. “Until later.”

“Geeze, Shade.” I shivered, circling my arms tighter around Sunny.

Shade chuckled, gave me a wink, and headed back outside.

Sunny grinned down at me but didn’t say anything as he carried me into the dining area of the restaurant. Luckily, it was slower than usual and I wouldn’t have a bunch of questioning stares wondering what the hell was going on. Except for…

“Meadow, please tell me why you’re being carried around like a damsel in distress when we both know that you are definitely no damsel.”

I laughed. “Kimmy, this is Sunny. Sunny, Kimmy. I lost my phone in the garbage bin and then I lost my shoes.”

“Did you go in after it?” Kimmy Renaud asked, placing her hands on her curvy hips. Her graying eyebrows narrowed in the center, but a hint of amusement flashed in her green eyes.

“I did.” I squirmed against Sunny. “You can put me down.”

  “Not happening, pet,” he grumbled.

“I’m probably getting heavy,” I told him, my body heating at the mere intensity rolling off of him in waves.

  “Nope. You aren’t.”

I sighed and continued squirming. “Put me in one of the booths then.”
