Blood of Dragons Page 23

by Olivia Ash

His thick cock hardens between my legs as he ravishes me with kisses. Every brush of his lips against my skin sparks a ripple of delight. Every time his hand grips my waist, my heart sings. His touch ignites me in ways no one else can, dipping into my soul and bringing me happiness I didn’t know I was allowed to feel.

When I lay beneath him, naked and aching for him, he spreads my knees apart with his own. There’s never a pause in his kisses, never a moment to breathe, and I love every second of it.

The tip of his cock presses against my entrance, and he gently leans into the thrust. I moan as his cock begins to fill me, bit by bit, almost tantalizingly slow at first. I’m delightfully sandwiched between his hard body and the cool, smooth rock beneath me. Tenderly, he sets his hand beneath my head to protect it as he presses himself deeper into me.

Impulsively, I wrap my legs around him as he fills me. In the moment, I utterly surrender to him. I want nothing more than his kisses, nothing more than his touch. I crave the way his love and devotion blur into me, until I’m not sure which emotions are mine and which are his.

Our souls meld as his cock burrows deeper and deeper, stretching me to my limit.

When his hips finally press flush against mine, he pauses briefly and brushes his nose lovingly over my cheek. “I promised to make you feel every pleasure known to man,” he says, his voice rough and sultry. “Let me deliver on that pledge.”

I grin up at him, lost in those blue eyes. “If you insist.”

His mouth presses gently against mine as he pulls slowly out of me. As his bare cock slowly slides through me, it sends ripples of pleasure through my body. I ache for more. My eyes shut impulsively, and I arch my back as he has his way with me.

When his cock slides out, he drags the tip along my entrance. Sparks of delight blister through me, and I chuckle in ecstasy as he teases me. His cock presses hard against my clit, rubbing it mercilessly when all I want him to do is be inside of me.

His cock slips downward, wedging itself against my sensitive folds. He holds it there for a moment, pausing to nibble lightly on my lip. I sink into the sensation of his mouth on mine, briefly distracted.

With a hard thrust, he thrusts his cock deep within me, filling me to the brim.

As I gasp in absolute ecstasy, he does it again.

  And again.

  And again.

He rides me as the waves crash below us, every masterful buck of his hips rocking me with pleasure. I moan as he takes me higher into the blissful sensation. His cock stretches me, pushing every button as it becomes my ticket to both physical bliss and soulful connection.

An orgasm builds within me, just out of reach, and he thrusts harder into me as it springs to life. Something about the way he curls his hips with each thrust keeps my climax at bay. His technique makes my orgasm build ever so slowly, promising to be truly mind-shattering once it hits.

He leans his mouth against my ear. “Come for me,” he demands, his voice growly and rough. “I want you to come so hard you forget where we even are.”

  Oh gods.

He kisses me fiercely as I gasp and moan his name, unable to do or say anything else.

When the orgasm hits me, it rolls through my body like a tidal wave. The logical side of my brain shuts off, and all I can feel is the pleasure. The delight. The bliss.

I lose track of time as his cock continues to thrust into me again and again, riding me through the entire climax. My thighs tighten around his hips, and I grab fistfuls of his hair as I moan into his mouth. As our lips brush together, I can feel the seductive tilt of his mouth as he smiles in pride at his handiwork.

As the orgasm slowly recedes, I fall back against the rock. My breath races, my chest heaving, but I never let go of his hair.

He continues to ride me as I come down from my blissful, orgasmic high. Every thrust sends another little twinge of joy through my legs. I tilt my hips toward him, giving him full access, letting him do whatever he wants.

With a contented sigh, he stiffens and leans against my chest. He releases himself into me, the flood almost never-ending. The sensation nearly sparks a second orgasm for me, and I gasp as ripples of bliss shoot through me from between my thighs.

For a few moments, we simply lay there together in silence, gasping and trying to catch our breath. He holds me tightly, his cock still buried within me as he tenderly leans his face against my neck.

I love you, he says through our connection.

I smile and tilt my head toward him, kissing the bit of his ear I can reach. Love you back.

I don’t know why we can hear each other’s thoughts, or why the connection that’s usually limited to dragon forms remains for us in his human form. It raises so many questions, but as we lie on a ledge hovering above the salty water, I figure we don’t need to explore those questions now.

He lovingly nibbles my jawline. “Whatever happens, Rory, whoever you end up choosing—just know that I will be here to protect you. Always.”

I laugh. These pushy dragons. They all think I’m going to pick just one man, and I’m not going to.

But I know Levi is here to stay, and that fills my heart with joy.

  Chapter Thirty

Though I’m tempted to spend the entire day on the ledge with Levi, giving him full access to every inch of my body, the others are probably starting to wonder if I’m dead.

I should probably go soothe some furious tempers.

As I yank on the last of my clothes Levi tossed aside earlier, I steal another glance at his gorgeously naked body. He stares off into the sunset with his back to me, the hard muscles in his shoulders flexing as he runs his hands through his hair.

“I’m alive, right?” he asks with a glance over his shoulder. “Or is this heaven?”

I chuckle. “How can you be both a fearsome warrior and totally adorable, all at the same time?”

He laughs and pulls me toward him, his strong arms warm and comforting as he holds me close. He peppers kisses tenderly along my neck, and I shiver with delight as his mouth passes the sensitive area along my jaw. I weave my arms around him, letting out a happy little sigh now that he’s back.

Now that he’s done the impossible.

“Do you know where we are?” I ask.

“Kind of.” He frowns briefly and scans the ocean around us. After a moment, he surveys the steep cliff overhead, his head tilting backward as he cranes to see it all. “I’ve only traveled out this far a few times, but I can probably get us back.”

“Well, that’s quite the vote of confidence.” I chuckle.

He grins, his gaze briefly flitting toward me before he returns his attention to the cliff. “Getting up there is going to be a challenge.”

“We can do it.” I cross my arms and study the overhang, making a mental note of the route I want to take.

Without a word, Levi runs his hands through my hair. When I look at him, he’s watching me with a grateful smile, like there’s so much he wants to say but he doesn’t know where to start.

I open my mouth to tease him a little for the adorably goofy grin on his face, but the crunch of footsteps on the land above us interrupts me. Levi and I glare at the edge, both of us tensing at the same time.

This is not a place to be cornered.

The cliff is our only way off this ledge, and it involves climbing what could easily be fifty feet of sheer rock. Below us is a hundred-foot drop into a craggy ocean littered with rocks as sharp as spears.

If anyone starts firing on us right now, we’re screwed.

Levi just turned back into his human form. I will not, under any circumstances, ask him to shift in order to fly us out of here.

  We’ll figure out something else.

I summon my magic into my hands, the white light flitting across my skin as heat and power surges through me with effortless grace. Eyebrows furrowed, I prepare for war.

  To defend Levi.

  To save us both.

I aim toward the ledge, pr
eparing to fire the moment I see the barrel of a gun.

The crunching steps near, hesitating a moment as they reach the overhang just above us.

Moments later, a familiar head pops over the edge of the cliff, his loose brown hair dancing in the wind as he looks down at us. “Rory!”

  Tucker.

I just about collapse with relief.

“Hey, babe!” I shout, shaking my hands to dismiss the magic from my fingers. “Man, am I glad to see you!”

“Guys, over here!” Tucker shouts over the gale of wind. He disappears for a moment before leaning back over the ledge. “Babe, how did you get down—” his eyes shift toward Levi, and even though he’s fifty feet above me, I can see the vague hint of a confused expression on his face. “Do I know you?”

Levi laughs. “Yeah, man. You know me.”

“Are you…” Tucker furrows his brow, his tone soft and disbelieving. “Levi, is that you?”

  Levi just grins.

“Where is she?” Drew demands, his tone thick with the demand for an answer.

“Is she okay?” Irena asks a moment later.

Four heads lean over the edge, and I take a deep breath of relief as everyone checks in on me—Jace, Drew, Tucker, and Irena.

“You guys didn’t even try to split up?” I joke. “I’m carried off in a dragon’s claws, and you clomp through the forest as a single unit?”

“It’s called a search and rescue, babe,” Tucker says with a nod toward Jace. “His nerds locked your location, but this place is damn hard to get to. Too risky to fly through those waters. Honestly, Levi’s lucky he even made it out here.”

“It’s called skill,” Levi says with a confident wink.

“Who the hell are you?” Jace snaps, glaring at the man beside me.

“That’s Levi,” Tucker says, beating me to it.

“No way.” Drew leans a little closer. “That would be impossible—”

I whistle sharply to get their attention. “Hey, are you guys going to stare at his pretty body all day, or can you maybe give us a hand out of here?”

“And you call me pushy?” Drew lifts an eyebrow playfully. “Let us appreciate the historic moment of a dragon reversing his feral nature, will you?”

“I’ll go secure the rope,” Irena says, disappearing for a few moments.

“See?” I point after my sister. “There’s a clear head on that one.”

Drew and Tucker laugh, but Jace’s eyes simply narrow on Levi—like he doesn’t quite believe it.

  He will. I’m not worried.

A few moments later, two rope lines hurl over the edge, shivering as they fall toward us. They end a few feet short of the rocky outcropping we’re standing on, so I take a running start and jump the seven feet to grab it. As I take hold of mine, Levi does the same—though, I notice, it’s not nearly as difficult for his tall, lean body to reach his rope.

Together, we climb the fifty-foot precipice. Though we don’t have harnesses, this is so much easier than it would have been without help.

I’m really starting to enjoy having a team.

When we reach the overhang, Irena and Jace grab my arms to help me onto solid ground. Beside me, Drew and Tucker hoist Levi onto solid ground. A few backpacks sit open nearby, their contents half-spilled over the grass. The ropes end in a large boulder nearby, the knots firm even as the frayed cables sway in the breeze.

Before I can even stand, Irena wraps her arms around me and holds me close. “I can’t even take a damn nap without you getting into trouble anymore.”

“Stop being dramatic,” I say. “It worked out, right?”

Still, I hug her tightly back.

“I’m proud of you, man,” Tucker says with a broad grin. The former Knight sets his hand on Levi’s shoulder and squeezes.

“Thanks.” Levi smiles and nods to me. “It was all her, though.”

“Oh, take credit.” I roll my eyes. “It was a team effort.”

Irena frowns, her eyes drifting toward the forest as she avoids looking at Levi. “Can someone get this very naked man some clothes, please?”

Drew laughs. “What, you don’t like the show?”

“Sorry,” Levi says with a chuckle, trying to cover himself. His massive hands only hide some of his cock, however, and I blush a little as my eyes impulsively drift toward his crotch. I resist the impulse to bite my lip with pleasure at the sight.

“Here.” Jace rifles through one of the small packs sitting open nearby and tosses Levi a pair of the dojo’s uniform pants.

As Levi tugs them on, Jace zips up the pack and leans toward me. “We can’t stay here,” he says urgently under his breath. “This is Knights territory. We barely got here unseen—I couldn’t even bring reinforcements. We need to move immediately, as some of the chatter we’ve picked up suggests they saw you and Levi flying out here.”

I impulsively stiffen, and his warning is all I need to slip instantly into warrior mode. “Have you spotted anyone moving in this direction?”

“Possibly,” Jace admits, his eye twitching briefly in frustration. “They’ve begun to develop camouflaged movements. Sometimes they disappear from the scanners, and we can’t always rely on those.”

  “You have units standing by?”

“Of course,” Jace says with a grimace. “But the likelihood of them getting here in time is slim. This is just about the worst place Levi’s dragon could have taken you.”

“That’s probably why he did it,” I confess. “Isolation.”

“Probably,” Jace admits with a begrudging groan.

It’s frustrating that Levi’s dragon lugged us into Knight territory, but the primal part of his dragon was hardly thinking straight. That’s what the human side is for—self-preservation, logic, and restraint.

Yet, here we are, and we need to make the best of this.

With a grim frown, Jace studies the ice dragon beside me. “Levi, can you shift?”

“Jace!” I scold, disappointed in him.

“Dude,” Tucker adds, his tone a bit disgusted. “He just did the impossible. Can he breathe for two seconds first?”

“Tucker, you know where we are,” Jace snaps. “This isn’t the time for courtesy or emotion. We need to get the hell out of here.”

“I can’t shift, yet,” Levi answers with a simple shake of his head. “I’m going to need some time, Jace. My dragon and I are better, but we’re not totally in sync yet.”

“Very well,” Jace says with a disappointed sigh. “Drew, we can carry them.” He smirks at the fire dragon. “Unless you’re getting fat and lazy, what with all the time you’ve spent in my dojo, eating all my food?”

  “Cute,” Drew says dryly.

“Wait,” Levi says chuckling in disbelief. “You want to carry me? In your claws?”

“Would you prefer a golden chariot?” Jace asks sarcastically. He quickly scans the forest behind him. “I wanted to find you both sooner, but flying out here would have attracted the wrong attention, and we didn’t have time to waste getting into a firefight. Now, however, we need to get out of here as fast as possible, and that means we fly.” He gestures at the spiky coast below us as another gale shoots over the cliff. “Those rocks are deadly, and the winds here can down even the best fliers. This is a dangerous spot, and we can’t take any risks. If we keep to the land, we should be able to avoid the gusts and gales that could rip you out of our claws or sink us completely.” He gives Levi a skeptical once-over and crosses his muscled arms. “Do you have a problem with that?”

“Yeah, I’m fairly certain I prefer death.” Levi snorts, and even though he’s joking, he bristles at the very idea of a dragon carrying him off.

I chuckle. Dragons can be such prideful creatures.

Jace sighs in annoyance. “We don’t have time for this.”

Levi calmly shakes his head, his hands on his hips as he stands a little taller in defiance. “Dojo master or no, you are not flying off with me in your talons.”

“You literally just did that to her,” Drew points out with a nod toward me.

“That’s different.” The ice dragon laughs, nervously scratching the back of his neck as he’s called out on his dragon’s behavior. “Besides, I said I was sorry.”

I tilt my head. “Did you, though?”

He grins, his sexy blue eyes narrowing seductively. “Pretty sure I did, yes.”

Heat rises along my neck, and I turn away to hide the blush as it creeps up my face.

Without another word, Jace tosses his pack to Irena. She hoists it on her shoulders, surprisingly at ease with being surrounded by dragons, and I wonder if the danger of the moment has convinced her to just play along.

Jace shifts. The rip of his pants tearing as his dragon takes over catches my attention, and a rush of air shoots by me as he stretches his wings. The beautiful black thunderbird towers over us, his body glowing with magic and light. He leans on his back legs and reaches for me with one of his talons, inviting me to come closer.

I sigh and lift my arms in defeat, letting him wrap his claw tightly around my waist. The injury from my fight with Jett is nearly healed, and the pressure of his grip only yields a slight discomfort.

Man, I love being a dragon.

Levi grimaces and takes a few wary steps backward. “Jace, there has to be a better way to—”

Apparently not one to banter, the lightning-fast dragon bolts toward Levi and grabs him in his other claw. I stifle a giggle as Levi wrestles in the thunderbird’s grip, cursing silently under his breath.

As Jace banks over the water, a gust carries him suddenly higher. He growls in frustration and tilts back toward the forest, trying to keep from losing control on these wild and unpredictable winds.

As we recover, my cheeks flushed with a bit of nausea from the ride, a familiar red dragon bolts into the sky beside us. He holds Tucker and Irena in his claws, their legs dangling over the steep drop to the sea. Irena stiffens in his grip, glaring at the fire dragon above her with a blended expression of discomfort and anger.

Tucker, however, appears utterly relaxed. He leans his elbow against Drew’s claw and rests his cheek on his fist. “I’ve been carried off by dragons a lot, lately,” he shouts at me over the howling wind. “It’s kind of emasculating, honestly. I need to wrestle a few bears after this.”
