  right

  ;-)

  ellleighclarke [10:26 PM]

  is this tabitha?

  michael [10:26 PM]

No, Katie - New Character for Torn Asunder - My pet name project

  <>

(seems to be the cover for Katie – the demon possessed heroine of his new series… that I wasn’t involved in, hence my confusion.)

  Tweaked 3d

  ellleighclarke [10:26 PM]

  ohh

  she had biiiiig boobs!

  michael [10:27 PM]

Sex sells...I'm willing to figure out how well.

  ellleighclarke [10:27 PM]

  yeah, she looks hot.

(well, what else am I suppose to say??)

  michael [10:27 PM]

Actually, "Are those big boobs, or do you have a demon inside of you?"

  ellleighclarke [10:27 PM]

does she have a demon inside her?

(this is fast becoming pornographic, I’m thinking to myself, not quite knowing how to respond appropriately!)

  michael [10:27 PM]

  'Oh...Demon... Uhhhhh, I'm gay

  yes

  ellleighclarke [10:28 PM]

I hear they can mess with your figure…

  huh? gay?

  who's gay?

  katie?

  michael [10:28 PM]

  No... character example

  ellleighclarke [10:28 PM]

  you've got a gay protagonist?

(see what I have to deal with? When I say I only understand about 80% of what he writes me, I’m not exaggerating!)

  michael [10:28 PM]

  Joke missed.

  (And somehow it’s my fault!)

  ellleighclarke [10:28 PM]

  oh

  michael [10:28 PM]

  ;-)

  ellleighclarke [10:28 PM]

you're trying to do this over slack. in words.

I only understand about 85% of what you write to me.

  michael [10:28 PM]

  jumping out, yeah-

(this means he’s leaving… to go eat or something… so he won’t be responding to my messages…)

  ellleighclarke [10:29 PM]

  of what you write. lol

  michael [10:29 PM]

  I tried!

  So...(#authornotes)

  ;-)

  ellleighclarke [10:29 PM]

  ok cool. ttyl

  michael [10:29 PM]

  laterz

(Laterz?! FYI this is a 50 Shades word, so no matter what he says about not reading romance, I think he’s let a clue slip!)

  ellleighclarke [10:29 PM]

  zzzz

  michael [10:29 PM]

  ROFL

  ++

  A few weeks later(z)…

  michael [1:26 PM]

I hope you are feeling better!

NOTE: Please remind me if I forget - we need to do the author notes for the next book tomorrow as well.

(he’s talking about recording them on audio…)

  ellleighclarke [1:53 PM]

Ok. I'm out sick at the moment. Haven't managed to get out of bed and told poker guys I'm not playing tonight. See... It's serious if I'm missing poker!

  michael [2:24 PM]

That is true! As they say, drink lots of clear fluids (no, not gin or tequila) and rest rest rest!

  ellleighclarke [2:31 PM]

Hahahaha. I've found that tumeric and honey act as an antibiotic. I wonder if it's possible to OD on tumeric...

  michael [2:39 PM]

Uhhhh... Trust you to find out :-)

Then it was his turn to be sick…

  michael [10:24 AM]

good morning, but best I can offer (headache) is :face_with_head_bandage:

  ellleighclarke [10:32 AM]

  oh no - how come?

  michael [10:58 AM]

weather (I think) here in LA. I'm driving back this morning, so it should go away.

  >Mike edit: I seem to remember it doing better leaving LA – but not sure.<

  ellleighclarke [11:04 AM]

oh heck. That's a pain if you spend any time in LA. Normally that kind of thing is high pressure no?

  anyway, happy driving. feel better

  michael [11:04 AM]

Thanks and I agree, I think it is high pressure :-)

  ellleighclarke [11:05 AM]

if i'm right, i don't think that happens in the desert ;-)

(I have no idea if this is accurate. I’m planning to study the geography of weather in my mum’s Flight Briefing for Pilots books which I brought back from the UK a few months ago. My fascination for group theory in physics has kept me distracted though. But still, I think there is something to my point. It convinced MA at any rate!)

  <>

  michael [11:06 AM]

  Oh... good point.

  ellleighclarke [9:37 PM]

  #authornotes

  michael [10:08 PM]

It helped.... thank you #authornotes - I wasn't in the desert.

  ellleighclarke [10:44 PM]

  But Vegas is...

(Plus, I’m pretty sure relatively speaking LA has a number of desert-like characteristics…)

Finally, we’re getting close to publishing the Jayne series…

  michael [7:40 PM]

Do we have titles for the Jayne books???

  ellleighclarke [8:03 PM]

yeah, the ones she's (the designer) been putting on the covers ;-)

  michael [8:43 PM]

  damn!

  >>Mike edit: Yeah, this was a facepalm sort of moment.<<

  <>

  ellleighclarke [8:58 PM]

  #authornotes

  michael [9:06 PM]

  ...damn....

Ok, I’m right up the 3000 word limit of what we can use in the back matter. I hope MA doesn’t have tons he’s planning to say to you, else I’ll be in the dog-house.

Looking forward to chatting over on Facebook and Patreon. Thank you again for reading… and I hope to see you in the next Author Notes on one of the other series!

  Author Notes - Michael Anderle

  June 4, 2019

THANK YOU for not only reading this story but these Author Notes as well.

(I think I’ve been good with always opening with “thank you.” If not, I need to edit the other Author Notes!)

  RANDOM (sometimes) THOUGHTS?

I’m presently driving (well, not me) to Dallas/Fort Worth to pack up the house I was living in when I wrote Death Becomes Her and set off what became The Kurtherian Gambit Universe.

Without that book, I would never have been introduced to some fantastic people, including my ‘maths’ partner Ell Leigh Clarke. Without her, I would not think to create a vampire who is a bit of an elitest.

  <>

And yet, you absolutely would not want to get on her bad side.

Then, add into the mix Moonlighting (which I’ve never seen but understand the concept of, I think), and we have a new series.

One where we grow up a young man with a new reality – one where the paranormal is real.

I’m looking forward to working this series with Ellie because who wouldn’t want to read about a female vampire who might be just as dark as the rumors suggest and yet is willing to help out a prodigal son at the same time?

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS

One of the interesting (at least to me) aspects of my life is the ability to work from anywhere and at any time. In the future, I hope to re-read my own Author Notes and remember my life as a diary entry.

Traveling near Armarillo, TX heading to Trophy Club, TX

We are up in the panhandle of Texas, where the HUGE windmills creating power tower up from the flat plains.

They are majestic, their arms turning lazily in the wind as their insides create electricity to run little plugs that power Kindles…or smartphones / iPads.

Anything that can power the Kindle software to read our books makes me happy.

Now, I’m back in Texas and I need some Tex-Mex.

  CORN

So, the other day I’m talking with Ellie and I mention that I’ll enjoy a little food when I get back to Texas.

She mentions she LOOOVVEES the Mexican food there in Austin now. (Remember, she is from England.)

She’s all, “Oh! I love the corn in my…” <??? – I got stuck when she said corn inside something.>

I have to (because…Born Texan) remind her that she is probably talking about Tex-Mex, not Mexican food.

She didn’t even argue with me.

I was shocked. She must really love the food not to argue with me that it was a Texas type Mexican food.

For the record (for those who have followed us from The Ascension Myth) she is also loving the pizza she eats.

I don’t think she does pepperoni yet.
