Carys grinned. “Let’s go shred, so we can nap.”
She pushed at his chest and they moved to the office.
She sorted through the mail on the way to the office and as she got to the desk, Cullen reached for her.
“Let’s start the nap in here,” he breathed into her hair.
She turned into his arms. His mouth met hers. It was just a light brush of his lips. A small temptation of what was to come. She reached up and attempted to pull his head down. He smiled, and she relished his tease. Two could play this game. She bit his neck, then laved it with her tongue, loving the low growl that came from deep inside his chest.
He backed her up against the desk and lifted her up on it. One of the envelopes fluttered to the floor.
“Wait a minute,” she pushed against him.
“What?”
“It’s from Clint and Lydia.”
“What is?” he dropped another kiss against her jaw.
“Pick it up.”
He gave a put-upon sigh and bent down and picked it up. Then grinned widely. “Whoo Hoo, looks like my man is finally doing the big deed.” Cullen tore open the envelope. “Yep, here it is. A wedding invitation. They’re getting married at Jack and Beth’s ranch in Texas.”
“Before or after us?” Carys asked.
“Before.” He threw the invitation on the desk. “Now, where was I? Oh yeah, I remember. I was about to pick up my woman and take her for a nap.”
He pulled Carys into his arms and kissed her right this time. No teasing, just a kiss to end all kisses, and Carys knew she was loved.
