Whimsical thoughts, happy moments – sometimes you can only express that silly or interesting thing with a verse. Or a poetic story.

  Angel Speech

  Fluttering down down down,

A single feather, silver hues in the light,

  To nimble fingers, who clutch it close;

  A beating heart.

  Thundering on on on,

The lightening splits the waiting air,

  Sound rushes to listening ears, who mark the sound;

  Fluttering eyelids

  Splashing

  The speech of angels.

  His First Time

  There are the plans

  My pencil said to him

  Scratching lines on lined paper

Circles and tubes in space faring seas

  Times long since gone

  When all fell

  The box was here,

  he replied, drawing swiftly

a diagram I only knew inside

  and from a black map

  and never from experience

  He spoke of pathways and

transports, boxes that open and close

  my pencil drew circuitry

  Fanciful designs

That he ignored: an imagination trap

  Denied.

  A shared memory?

I think so, but only he can say

I got it from your mind

  he denied

  but rather, I replied

Nay, my good sir, for those things

  were never within me

Not in the ways that you know

  Seek within yourself

  I was merely the bounce

That his ping pong ball of memory

used to spring from and fly.

  It Comes

  Glistening wet,

  It rides back and forth.

  Rise!

  Swell!

  Oh, Great Behemoth,

  Crash against

  Into

  And saturate After climax

  to leave your white residue

  Across the place made moist.

  (gasp!)

  I do love the beach.
