  Acknowledgement

This book would not have been possible without the absolute love and support of my darling wife, Julie.

Many thanks also for the support of family and friends and in particular for the specific contributions from Kevin Albin - fellow author, Elaine Penhal - another fellow author and book editor extraordinaire, Anamika Bansal - for help with my character names, Paul Read - for military tactical terminology, Lisa Simpson - for Spanish translation and Ian Hackett - for his firearms knowledge and advice.

Also a very big thank you to all my volunteer editors - those friends and family who have helped with the continuing editing process, especially the significant contributions from Elizabeth Lathwood and Sandra Symms.

Finally to my cousin, Brian, for his huge support in bringing to life the artwork for this book in depicting La Seu, the magnificent Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral located in the beautiful city of Palma de Mallorca.

  the mallorcan Bookseller location tour

There has been a lot of interest from readers in exploring the locations in the book.

The book was inspired by my love of the beautiful island of Mallorca. Therefore, whilst creating the story, I also wanted to promote many of the wonderful cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels I have found over the past fifteen years or so.

So why not see and experience the locations the 3R team have been to during their adventures in this story? And who knows, you may just see me there too!

I have listed most of the specific sites on the next page, however, you can also explore the island from the descriptions of the various locations, e.g. for the fincas used by 3R and for the kidnap, to identify for yourself the likely areas for these fictional fincas.
