Pit: The A**hole Club Series Page 9

by Saffire , Blue

I smile and take a sip from my beer. It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten out there and raced like that. I’m trying not to think of how good it felt to cross the finish line with Skittles beside me.

The adrenaline from the win is still coursing through my veins. Normally I would find a pretty girl and spend the night getting my dick wet. Looking around this room, there’s only one woman I want.

Reggae plays through my suite, the chick singing about action as random people fill the place. Rhet and his team are here. They came in third tonight, good enough not to get cut.

“He knows how to have a good time,” Rome says and nods to Rhet against the wall with a tumbler in one hand, a cigar in another and some cute chick whining her hips on him as he watches her ass.

“Good for him,” I mutter and turn my gaze to Skittles.

She’s in a pair of tiny leather shorts, fishnet stockings, and ankle boots. The off the shoulder shirt she has on is cutoff at the midriff. Her hair is in a little bob that’s longer in the front, its strands dark on top but colorful underneath. It reminds me of that day I found her in Kelex’s room.

“Why watch her? Why not dance?” Rome asks.

“Your ass is usually quiet as a motherfucker. Why are you talking so much tonight?”

Rome bursts into laughter and walks off. I turn my attention back to Skittles. She’s rocking and rolling those hips, causing my jeans to tighten.

She catches my gaze on her and tosses her arms over her head. I take a sip of my beer as I watch her gyrate. She makes her way over to me and places her hands on my waist.

Lifting onto her toes, she leans into me. “Come dance with me.”

I dip my head next to her ear. “How would Kelex feel about that?”

When I look at her face, she has a confused expression. I search her face. It’s genuine confusion, which gives me pause.

“Why would I care what he thinks? He’s not my father. I’m a grown ass woman. He doesn’t pick who I get to dance with or anything else,” she says over the music. A defeated look comes over her face. “Never mind.”

She turns and crosses the room, away from me. A guy stops her halfway and leans to say something in her ear. She looks over her shoulder in my direction with a frown on her face before she turns back to him and nods.

Next thing I know she’s whining her hips with this guy hanging on to her. Kelex is one thing, but this shit has me seeing red. I’m tempted to go get my gun.

Instead, I put my beer down and walk into the bedroom and pull out my phone as I keep an eye on Skittles and this dude from the doorway. I put the phone to my ear after finding the number I need.

  “What’s up?” Kelex answers.

“I need to ask you something and I need you to be straight with me,” I reply.

  “O-kay.”

“When was the last time you and Skittles fucked?”

He bursts into laughter. I pull the phone from my ear and look at it. What’s so damn funny with these guys? He’s laughing as hard as Deacon does.

“In my dreams, Bro,” he says through his laughter.

  “What?”

He snorts. “Pit, she’s really just a friend. I’ve been in the friendzone from day one. I had my shit going on and she was already into someone else.”

  “Seriously?”

“Yeah, bro. I wouldn’t lie about it. I think you should talk to her.”

I stand watching Skittles on the dance floor. I can’t believe they’ve never slept together. I’ve never pursued her because I thought they had.

“You still there?” Kelex says into the phone.

  “Yeah… never?”

“Dude, never. My eyes are the wrong color. She’s more into jade green and shit. Good night, Pit.”

He hangs up before I can react. It takes a second for our conversation to make sense to me. I’m usually a lot quicker than this, but it rocks me that the two have never been intimate.

She’s more into jade green and shit… She was already into someone else.

It took about two years after we met for me to see Skittles date anyone. So if she was into someone back then. Holy shit, I’m so stupid. The looks, the flirting.

My beer-fogged brain starts to put the pieces together. I move out of the room like my ass is on fire. I grab Skittles by her waist and tug her into me.

“Get lost,” I growl at the dude she was dancing with.

The pussy looks around before he hightails it out of my face. I look down at a pissed looking Skittles. I know she’s about to tear into me, but I silence that shit.

I grab the back of her neck and bring her into me, cover her lips with mine. The kiss vibrates throughout my body. I groan and grab her ass with my free hand.

She wraps her arms around my neck and moans. Damn, I feel that shit in my cock. I knead her ass, bringing her up on her toes.

  I need her naked, now.

I break the kiss and lift my head, not looking away from her eyes. “Everybody out,” I bellow. “Party’s over. You don’t have to go home, but every single one of you needs to get the fuck out, now.”

I touch my lips and look up at Pit with a smile as he barks for everyone to go. He still has a tight hold of my ass. My panties are completely soaked after that kiss.

Pit doesn’t just kiss, he devours. He tugs me into his erection. I already know he’s packing.

Even if I hadn’t seen it this morning when I woke wrapped in his arms, I’ve seen it from years of pranks and strip poker. He’s big and thick.

This morning was only a reminder. He had been hard as a rock against my crack. I got up and his towel was no longer covering him.

I don’t know if everyone has left or not, but he has his mouth back on me. I thread my fingers in his silky hair and allow him to set me on fire. He lifts me and I wrap my legs around his waist as he starts for the bedroom.

“I have those results for you,” he says and nips my bottom lip.

I’m confused at first. When it hits me what he’s talking about, I burst into laughter. He starts to kiss my neck and groans.

“I have mine on my phone too. Although, I haven’t been sexually active in about a year.”

He pauses. “You weren’t sleeping with that last dude?”

“No. You have to be worthy to get between these thighs.”

“Damn, I want you so bad,” he hisses.

He drops me on the bed and moves to kiss his way up my right thigh over my fishnets. I unfasten my shorts to help him get me out of my clothes. I’ve wanted this man for too long to be shy or coy about this.

“Pit,” I gasp when he sucks the skin of my left thigh into his mouth.

“I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but don’t call me that. Say my name when I’m beating up this pussy,” he says.

I don’t get to say anything as he’s back to devouring my mouth. I cry into his warmth when he gets his hand into my shorts and pushes his long fingers inside me. I come instantly.

It happens so quick, I’m almost embarrassed. Almost because the way he hooks his fingers to coax the next one out leaves me shameless. I rock my hips and whimper for him.

“So wet. You hear that, baby?”

Yeah, I hear it. It’s the reason I gush more. I’m fully clothed still, and this man is about to make me come for the second time. I cup his face and suck his tongue into my mouth.

He groans. “Fuck, I need you to suck my—”

He doesn’t get to finish his words. My phone rings in my bra. I pout, but I need to make sure it’s not important.

“Give me one sec,” I say as I pull the phone out.

All the blood drains for my face. I push at Pit’s chest and he backs up so I can stand. I answer quickly and try to move out of earshot.

“Hello,” I say, but have to look over my shoulder as I feel Pit on my back.

“Good job, you’re doing exactly what I asked.”

“What about your part? When can she call?
I need to talk to her.” I look up at Pit and plead with him not to snatch my phone, because I feel it coming.

“I haven’t hit the bitch, if that’s what you’re asking. Listen, you’re going to get a special invite because of that win. It will be after the next race,” he says.

“Okay, what do you need me to do?”

“I need to know all the major players in that room. Don’t fuck this up and keep winning races. I’ll let her call you tomorrow.”

  With that, he hangs up.

  “I can explain,” I start.

“The games are over Mayven. Tell me what’s going on or nobody’s getting into another car,” Pit says.

The tears come. “Fine, but you have to promise not to go all Pit on me.”

“I’m not promising shit but a spanking if you don’t start talking.”

My pussy actually clenches. I take a deep breath. Here goes nothing.

  Chapter 13

  We Have to Finish

  Skittles

“Tell them what you told me,” Pit seethes as he paces back and forth.

He has been pacing since I stopped talking and he called Roman and Ox to come back to his room. I haven’t said a word yet, but Roman and Ox already look pissed. I lick my lips, a part of me relieved I can speak the truth out loud.

“I used to race in smaller clubs. It was exciting and fun. None of the illegal stuff this circuit is about. My cousin Shawna came home one summer about three years ago and wanted to tag along to see what it was all about.”

I pause and look to a still pacing Pit. I swear, I can see the anger coming off of him. Looking away to the floor, I push myself to continue.

“All it took was the time for me to race and win for it to happen. Shawna is tall, but curvy like me, she was teased so badly in school, she’s extremely shy with guys. A little attention and the right words and Danny had her wrapped around his finger.

“I didn’t know anything about him. All the guys I knew in the circuit were sons of politicians and CEOs. Different kinds of crooks.”

I have to pause as guilt threatens to choke me. This is my fault. If she never would have gone to that race with me, she never would have met Danny in the first place.

“I never knew he was putting his hands on her. She’s been seeing him for three years. She’s so young and beautiful. She doesn’t deserve this. God, I don’t even know if this has been happening the entire time they’ve been together.

“Shawna travels a lot for work. It wouldn’t be hard to hide this from me. Nothing seemed out of order when she stopped coming around as much about six months ago.”

“Get to the call,” Pit barks.

I nod and swipe at my tears. “She called me one night. I was at the shop working on a car. I could barely understand her slurred words. I thought she was drunk at first and then it dawned on me, something was very wrong.

“So, I Facetimed her. I lost my shit when she came into view. I’ve never seen anything so… I jumped in my car to race to her. She said he had left, and I could get her out of there, but I wasn’t fast enough,” I say bitterly.

I drove like a bat out of hell that night, but it wasn’t enough. Danny doubled back. He didn’t get on his plane.

“Tell them,” Pit says, bringing me from my thoughts.

“He came back. He overheard her on the phone with me. Call it bad timing. He took the phone and this all started.

“What Shawna and I didn’t know is he turned around because his drivers for these races got caught up or something. He needed a new team for whatever he’s up to.

“For some reason he wants to stay away from the races. He promised he’d let Shawna go if I managed to get a team or get on a team and win. He also promised to get her medical attention and not to harm her for the three and a half months it would take for me to make this happen.

“I get texts with pictures to show she’s okay daily. And I’ll get to talk to her tomorrow, thanks to Pit’s win,” I finish.

“How do you know he’ll hold up his end? We could win this whole thing and…” Ox trails off with a scowl.

“That’s exactly what I said,” Pit bellows.

“I don’t know. I have no guarantees, but this is better than nothing.”

“I don’t like this plan. Let me go after him, teach him why he shouldn’t hit women,” Roman says.

I shake my head. “You guys know me. That was my first reaction too, but it’s not that simple.”

“We have no clue where he is or where he has her,” Pit offers.

“He took her and took off that night before I could get there. Danny knows everything there is to know about me and Shawna.”

“And because daddy and auntie are in a campaign year, this has to remain quiet,” Pit says bitterly. “Shawna’s the daughter of Councilwoman Monica Norris.”

“Shit, she’s running for senate,” Ox says.

“Precisely. And daddy is running for governor. The favored sister-brother duo. If this gets out, it will damage their campaigns.”

“How? Isn’t kidnapping like a gold mine in the political chess game?” Rome asks.

I shake my head. “Let me reiterate something. Danny knows everything about me, Shawna, and our family. That includes the backhanded shit my father and aunt have done to be where they are.

“In the brief text exchange he allowed me to have with Shawna the day after he took her, she asked me not to get our parents involved. Apparently, she inadvertently told him too much and it will come back to burn a lot of people,” I explain.

“I don’t like it,” Ox mutters. “He has too much power we can’t trust.”

Roman has fallen silent as he taps away on his laptop. Pit walks up behind me and wraps his arms around me. It’s exactly what I need to help me keep from falling apart.

  Pit

I’m so pissed off. I need to have Skittles in my arms to keep from saying fuck it and going to kick in every door until I find her cousin. Yet she pleaded with me not to do this my way. She’s been dealing with all this pressure on her own for weeks.

I kiss the top of her head in awe of how strong she is. If this were Scarlett or Leo, I’d burn the city down to smoke this motherfucker out. That’s the thing though. Danny Clavier can’t be doing any of this in my city. I would know.

“Looks like Danny owes some pretty big debts and from the looks of his bank accounts, he’s out of funds,” Roman says as he continues to tap at his keys. “I got a hit off his cell phone. He pinged off a tower in Neuvo Leõn.”

  “Mexico?” I ask.

“Isn’t that where the last race is supposed to end?”

I turn Skittles to face me. “How would you know that? None of the teams are supposed to know the final race point.”

“Danny fed me a bunch of information about the club and the races,” she replies.

I nearly growl. The motherfucker didn’t tell her that as a female driver she had to steer clear of looking like a lost deer in those private parties. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have found her there that first night in that dress, but he’s feeding her locations.

“Yeah, Mexico but that was a week ago. Nothing since.” Rome frowns. Frustration fills his voice. “This is Marquis’ property. If she is here, I can’t get us into this compound without some serious firepower and damn near starting a war.”

Ox looks over Roman’s shoulder. “Yeah, I know about Marquis and his operation. His compounds are like fortresses.”

“Can you find this Danny guy though?” I ask.

  “I’m trying,” Rome mutters.

“You know, I think they’ve been moving. At least they’ve moved once or twice from the looks of the pictures. I tried to see if I recognized anything, but I couldn’t make out details that would help. However, I did notice something changed about the background,” Skittles says.

“Do you still have the photos?” Rome asks.

“Yeah.” She hands over her phone.

Rome’s brows draw in as he starts to scroll through the pictures. However, the more he scrolls the more pissed off he starts to look. “Yeah, they have moved. You don’t mind if I transfer these so I can see if I can break them down and get us some answers?” he says tightly.

“No, not at all. Whatever you need.”

Roman goes back to typing on his laptop. “Just hacked Marquis and found the master race list. She’s right, Neuvo Leõn is the final destination.”

“Which means, that’s the final drop. What’s this motherfucker up to? What’s his connection to Marquis?”

“I don’t know yet, but I know if you guys can win these races and get me close enough to this motherfucker, I’ll get her out,” Roman says.

“But we’re gambling on this piece of shit’s word,” Ox says.

“It’s making me sick to my stomach, but that’s what I’ve been doing since that call.”

“We’ll win,” I say “Get me everything you can on Danny and what his connection is to Marquis. I want to know what’s really going on. And I need you to keep digging for Shawna’s location.”

“Should I call my uncle?” Ox says.

I work my jaw. Yeah, I found out sometime after hiring Ox that he’s really Blake Knight’s nephew. I didn’t know how I felt about that at first, but we settled that beef and the bond between myself and Ox became stronger.

“No,” I grunt. “He’s sure to draw attention with his way of doing things. For now, let’s get information. We still have eight races and eight more weeks to go. If we can figure out a way in before the drop, I want to know. For now, we act like we know nothing and we’re just here to help Skittles win.”

  Chapter 14

  Big Mistake

  Skittles

For the first time in weeks, I feel like I can breathe again. I’m not alone anymore. Pit has agreed to do this my way, for now at least. Although, I can see how hard this is for him.

I sit on the couch in his suite, chewing on my lip and wringing my hands. I’m anxious to see and talk to Shawna. From the pictures her face is healing. However, I don’t know the extent of all the damage that was done.
