  Live in the moment.

“You do.” He interlocked their fingers. His grip was strong, warm, and steady, just like him. She wasn’t ready to analyze her feelings for him yet, but for now, she was grateful he was part of her life.

Bree leaned back, holding his hand, watching the kids laugh.

Life had its ups and downs. Her job ensured a steady stream of unpredictable events. Today, life was good, and she needed to hold on to that for as long as possible.

Who knew what tomorrow would bring?

  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

It truly takes a team to publish a book, let alone build a career as an author. Drown Her Sorrows is my thirtieth published work since my first book released in 2011. As always, credit goes to my agent, Jill Marsal, for plucking my first manuscript out of her slush pile and supporting my career for more than ten years. I’m thankful for the entire team at Montlake, especially my managing editor, Anh Schluep, and my developmental editor, Charlotte Herscher. Special thanks to writer friends Rayna Vause and Kendra Elliot for help with various technical details, moral support, and plot advice. Most of all, I thank my family for their unwavering support back when I hadn’t sold a single book. They believed in me long before I did. Ten years ago, I never thought I’d be a full-time writer, but here I am, truly grateful.
