I, who wanted you so much

To come and visit my cafe,

  Had changed the menu listings

  In the language of numbers

  -

And had changed the table numbers

In the language of dance steps -

To match the initials of the flowers

To match the letters of your name

  So that, if you came

You would not miss it -

The dance of the reflected sunlight

On the flower vases on the tables

  -

  So that, if you came

You would not miss it -

The floral motif that, thus painted,

  Matched my invitation

  But you did not come

  Perhaps -

Or I was not there, then

  Perhaps -

  -

Though I looked for you - everywhere -

And waited for you - patiently -

Through the nostalgia of the days

  Enveloped by floral motifs -
