When I looked back down at him, he grinned, his fangs poking out of his mouth adorably. His fanged, sweet smile was one of my favorite things about him.

My eyes roamed over him as he stood, his form lithe but muscled. Wanting to feel him, I leaned forward, running my hands and tongue over every chiseled inch of him. When I went to put my mouth around his cock, he pulled me up to face him, his lips capturing mine before lifting me up and pressing my back into the shower wall. With his vampire coming forward to lend him strength, his features transformed into his full vampire form. I looked up into his deep, red eyes, seeing my Van under his shifted features. He lifted me just enough to capture one of my breasts in his mouth while he rolled the other tightened bud between his finger and thumb.

Another orgasm built, slower this time, as he switched to take the other nipple between his warm lips. When I let out a small whimper, he readjusted me until he was at the perfect position to line the head of his thick cock at my entrance, and pushed forward. We both groaned in unison as he filled me, inch by inch. When he was fully seated inside of me, I sighed at the delicious feeling before rocking my hips... but he didn't need the invitation. He started slamming into me as he looked me in the eyes, his gaze hooded, small grunts of pleasure moving past his perfect, full lips. One of his hands wrapped around my wrists pinning them above my head as I pushed my chest into his, the position making me feel vulnerable and turning me on even more.

"I feel like I've waited for this, forever," he whispered huskily, his pace never slowing. My arms wrapped around his neck as he let go of them, my nails biting into his skin while he pounded into me. I loved that he wasn't just sweet and innocent, but rough, taking what he wanted from me with no apologies. I gave it willingly, my body on fire for him as he fucked me perfectly, his hands gripping my ass with bruising fingers.

Knowing he still needed to feed, I offered my neck to him once more. This time, he didn't bother to protest, instead running his tongue along the juncture of my neck before sinking his fangs in. The sharp prick had me gasping, but I forgot about the pain as his relentless fucking continued, still building that pleasure I craved. With the first pull of blood, it felt like my entire body sang for him, a tune only he could coax out. The pleasure was heightened, my body shaking as he fucked and drank from me greedily. The closer to climax I got, the harder he fucked me, my body so turned on that I bucked my hips, meeting each thrust head on. I writhed and moaned, taking all he was giving me until waves of pleasure crashed over me, more intense than I'd ever felt. He pulled deeper from me as I came, prolonging my orgasm until I was clinging to him and screaming his name, not bothering to care if anyone heard us.

With one last pull, he found his release, thrusting in one last time and gripping me tightly as he filled me. His groan was animalistic and deep as it vibrated against my neck, before he licked over the wound and pulled away. I whimpered as he slid out of me, the change in sensation leaving me weak in the knees. Though that could also be from blood loss.

"I thought I was going to lose you today. I'm so sorry I didn't protect you," he said, his voice still husky with lust as he rested his forehead against mine.

"Sometimes it's okay to let me protect you. We're a team, and I don't always need to be the one saved," I said softly, wrapping my arms around his torso and snuggling him, letting his embrace and the water wash away the rest of my anxiety.

I ran my fingers lightly over the two small pricks in my neck where he marked me. He looked down at me, his eyes pleading with me not to be angry. But truthfully, I kind of liked being marked by him. Needing him to know that, I let him feel my excitement about it, how sexy I thought it was, until a grin spread across his face again. His features slowly switched back to the Van I was used to, with more color in his cheeks now as his strength returned to him.

By the time we were actually clean and dressed again, the guys had abandoned the kitchen and settled into the living room to wait. They all smirked as we entered together, both of us still wet from the shower, though nobody bothered to call us out.

"Your coffee is cold now," Calev joked, pointing to the mug on the table in front of them.

"That's okay, I'm awake now," I countered with a wink, diving over the back of the couch and into Lachlan's lap. Nobody bothered to laugh at my ridiculous antics, already growing used to my weirdness, and I appreciated them all the more for it. Tonight, I just needed a quiet night with my guys, to relax and recover from the ridiculous day we had. Tristan flicked on the movie before settling on my other side and pulling my feet into his lap. As the intro credits rolled, he massaged my feet, giving me a soft smile when I glanced over at him. They looked just as content as I did, just being together like this, not a hint of jealousy in sight... and that was something that would help keep us strong.

Between Lachlan’s warmth and Tristan’s massage, my eyes drifted closed. Clearly, I wasn’t as awake as I thought, the day taking its toll on me.

I didn’t object in the least. We could leave any important decisions and revelations for tomorrow.

  Tristan

As I watched Lennox drift off to sleep, her breaths evening out into cute little puffs, I opened a mental link to check on everyone. I didn’t want to spark a conversation and wake her up, she’d given enough today.

‘Checking in,’ I projected, waiting as their minds opened up to the link. We all stared mindlessly at the TV while we spoke internally. To an outsider we all probably looked like we were in a trance.

‘I’m fine now, she gave me some of her blood,’ Evander said, his love and awe coming through, like he still couldn’t believe it. An image of their shower sex shot through next, and he gave a sheepish chuckle as we all groaned. ‘Sorry, guys.’

‘How you gonna do us like that?’ Aeson asked, his words were light, but his worry and his confusion were loud and clear.

‘Who was that guy down there?’ Calev asked, bringing the conversation around to the attacker again.

‘He said something, but I can’t fucking remember what it was,’ Evander growled, his anger thick and consuming.

‘He mentioned a bounty. I heard that much as I was fighting to stay on my feet,’ Lachlan added, his anger mixing with Van’s, making my head spin. Everyone was too emotional for this.

‘Guys, reign it in. Tristan can’t take it,’ Aeson said, a bite to his tone. He was as gentle as they came, until you messed with someone he claimed as his. His possessiveness was sexy as hell.

‘Let’s talk about her,’ Calev said, offering up a less angry alternative. Their thoughts all switched to her. Worry, confusion, pity, love, lust… the emotions were endless.

‘Is anyone having second thoughts about sharing her?’ Evander asked bluntly.

‘Hell no! We’ve all noticed how she looks at all of us, and I’d never break her heart that way. And Kitten is different. She has had a rough time, but her capacity to love is huge. I’m not jealous in the least watching you guys with her,’ I answered quickly.

  ‘Agreed,’ Aeson added.

‘Same,’ Calev said, ‘she was worried about it again today.’

‘I’m coming to terms with it. It’s not jealousy, it’s more my bear being territorial,’ Lach admitted.

‘I’m in the same boat as Lach. My possessive side cares, the rest of me doesn’t. But I don’t want it any other way, I just need her,’ Van- admitted, his gaze drifting down to Kitten. Lachlan absently played with her hair, content noises drifting into the silence.

‘She’s ours,’ Lach finally agreed, the others all joining the chorus until I closed the link.

She is ours, and I’ll be damned if something like today happens again. We have to be stronger for her.

"Thanks for letting us stay with you," I said as I hugged Lilah close, feeling like I was leaving a sister behind.

"Don't be afraid to visit, the school isn't far," she reminded me as she tucked a paper bag into my m
essenger bag. She'd made one for each of us in true Lilah fashion, her teary eyes giving away just how sad she was about us leaving. She mentioned coming from a big family, so I think she preferred the noise and bustle of a busy house.

With one last squeeze I pulled away, following the others out of the building and adding my last bag to the car. Lorcan and Calev had delivered the other boxes to the school for us this morning, so all we had were the small bags we didn't want to send ahead. I smoothed my shirt, loving that the black lacy fabric and dark jeans with matching boots were simple but classy enough for meeting new people. Today was the day I would meet their Dean of Students, so I wanted to look at least somewhat put together, especially since I'd be under scrutiny. We'd agreed to tell the headmaster what we suspected I was, even though the rarity of being a mimic would likely make my life more difficult. At this point, I’d just rather keep my new family safe.

Pushing my worry aside, I closed the trunk before shouting "I call shotgun!" and startling them all. Evander perked up, and an evil grin spread across his face as he went speeding off for the front, before I even finished my words. "No, you asshole!" I screeched, pulling at his magic in desperation, and sending me barreling into him. We both fell in a heap on the ground.

"Now that's cheating," he accused as he kissed me on the nose. "What if I was only hurrying to open the door for you?"

"Don't lie, it's not attractive," I scolded playfully, making no move to get off of him. "I should maybe get a hold on controlling my speed. Though, this is a nice view,” I joked, kissing him softly.

"Seeing you using my powers is kind of hot," he teased, scooping me up easily despite him being underneath me. "Hmm, now I'm not sure I want to put you down. I could run us to campus?"

"No, you can't," Calev said firmly, glaring over at Van who completely ignored him.

"What's the worst that can happen? She's a fucking mimic, and I'm a vampire," he challenged, bracing his legs like he was about to run a marathon. Clearly, he forgot about yesterday for a moment, before realization dawned on his face. "Touché," he mumbled, putting me down on the seat and buckling me up.

"I think we should go for runs during the day, get a handle on this speed," I suggested, hoping it wouldn't get shot down, too.

"We can once we're on campus, that's true. The grounds are huge, and it has a ton of trails and sidewalks," Van explained. His eyes lit up at the prospect of having a normal life again. Thanks to me, they hadn’t had a lot of that lately.

"Yet, we wouldn't change a thing," Tristan reminded me from the backseat. I turned around and gave him an apologetic grin, realizing I hadn't bothered to shield my thoughts again... I really needed to work on that more. Tristan tried during our attempt at training, but nothing happened. Maybe I’m just too reactive for that.

Needing a subject change, I turned back to Calev who was driving, "How far away is the school?" He grinned and pointed toward the mountain where I could just barely see the tall rooftops in the trees. It looked pretty secluded, which was nice.

The ridiculous white car followed us again, this time a bit more obvious. Every time Calev tried to lose the tail, they seemed to find us, staying only inches behind. As he turned onto a winding road, they followed again, only this time a military style van pulled up behind them. The sight of it made my blood turn to ice, and an evil vibe flooded me that was so overwhelming, my hands shook. This time I didn't bother to hide my feelings from Tristan, since I needed him to see and feel what I was.

"We've got another tail guys, and she's getting an awful vibe. GO!" Tristan commanded while I fought down my nausea, flashes of memories that weren't mine popping into my head. A little girl on an exam table, the same little girl coloring in a plain white room, nothing else but her paper and crayons. Another of her crying as someone hooked her up to an IV, then one of her hiding under her bed, shaking. It was one after the other, bringing tears to my eyes.

"They've got a child. I think I'm getting some of Tristan's ability because I'm seeing premonitions of them doing something to her, but I just can't figure out what. Needles, IVs, a plain white hospital room, nothing happy at all," I explained, wiping the tears away with my clenched fist. Who the fuck are these people?!

"Did anything stand out?" Calev asked without missing a beat, instantly believing my words.

"I didn't notice any names or labels in what I saw. It was all just stark white, sterile, and cold," Tristan added with a shudder. "The shit was straight out of nightmares."

"They're getting faster!" Evander yelled before pulling out his phone. "Dean Francis, this is Evander Cole. We have a tail on the school road, please send securiー" His words were cut short as something slammed into our car, sending all of us pitching forward. The force of it slammed my head against the dashboard, the seatbelt giving out on me and letting me take the full brunt of the hit. From the sounds in the back, everyone else had the same thing happen. The world blurred around me, darkness hanging on the edge of my consciousness. Heavy footfalls approached us, my head turning to the side to see men in dark clothes and masks approaching. Fear pulsed through me as they flung open the door, reaching in and yanking us out one by one.

"Take the girl and the two with light hair. Leave the other two, they'll be feral," a man barked out orders, the others following him seamlessly. One of the men grabbed me roughly, flinging me over his shoulder. I tried to fight it with everything I had, but the darkness was too close. As everything faded to black I heard the sounds of my guys fighting, but I couldn’t see anything to reassure me of their safety. Please, just let my guys survive.

I was unsure how long it took before I came to, but I felt like I'd been hit by a bus. We were in the back of a work van, the windows painted over, nothing back here but us. The drive was bumpy as they drove us down a shitty road, heading who knows where. My head pounded, and I could feel the dried blood on my face. When I tried to reach for it, I found my hands were bound with a zip-tie. The hard plastic bit roughly into my wrists as I pulled against it, tears of frustration starting to form, before I pushed them away.

Glancing around me, I spotted Aeson and Tristan leaning against each other, still out cold. From the blood running down the side of their heads, I'd say they were knocked out too, if not from the car, then from our assailants. When I tried to move again, I realized my feet were bound with the same large zip ties. Fucking dicks. Pulling forward some simple spells, I used fire to melt the plastic band until it snapped loose, my skin marred and red underneath from the tight hold. I did the same for my wrists before hurrying over to the others and melting theirs, laying them flat on the ground so I could look them over. The only visible injuries were the matching bumps on their heads, so I used Aeson's magic to heal them both until I was wavering again, then I shut down the magic so I didn't lose consciousness. I was currently our only hope until they woke up.

I tried to open the back door, but it was locked with no working handle on the inside. The windows were bolted shut and painted over, meaning I had no views of the outside. Eventually, I sat in front of my guys, rocking nervously as I waited for them to wake up.

Tristan was the first to stir, his eyes blinking rapidly as he regained consciousness. He looked disoriented for a moment, before he bolted upright and then groaned in regret. I scooted forward and clutched his hand in mine, "Take it easy, babe." His eyes shot up to me, relief flooding him before fear took back over. "I healed you both, but we need to try and wake Aeson."

"Are you okay?" he asked, trailing a finger over the wound on my head. I just brushed him away and scooted over to our boyfriend to check on him. I ran a hand over Aeson’s hair and trailed my fingers down his face. When that didn't work, I tapped him harder. In Tristan's desperation, he shook Aeson violently, his actions betraying the worry he was feeling. Aeson woke up, gasping for air. His face looked a bit green for a second, before he leaned to the side and vomited, the acrid smell filling the vehicle up quickly.

"Sorry," he mumbled as he tried to swallo
w down the next wave of nausea. "What the fuck?"

"No idea. I woke up and healed you, but we haven't stopped driving yet," I said, worry coming back to the surface now that they were both awake.

"We were bound?" Aeson asked as he rubbed his still red wrists. His were even worse than mine, angry welts forming along the edges of the marking.

"Zip ties," I answered, trying to slam against the door with my feet to fling it open. I'd take falling out of the back while they drove, instead of ending up like that little girl.

‘Let's not get hasty, we can attack as soon as they open it,’ Tristan said softly, though he didn't look happy about that plan either.

‘I'm so sorry,’ I said quietly, refusing to look at them. ‘You're only here because of who I am. You would have been better off without me. If they let me trade myself for you, I plan to do it.’ My confession was met with silence, though I could hear one of their panicked breathing.

‘I'm not sorry. You don't even understand what you've brought to our group. And you will not sacrifice yourself for us,’ Aeson said, his mental voice hard. I didn't respond, refusing to lie when I knew what I'd have to do.

As if on cue, the van stopped abruptly. The three of us scrambled to crouch in defensive stances, magic already dancing on my palms. Not knowing which magic to try first, I went for something small. I let lightning dance in my palms, forming a ball and building it bigger until it was a volatile mass, sparking and flowing between my hands. Once again, the elemental magic was easiest for me to channel. Now isn't the time to dwell on that.

The moment the door opened, I threw the lightning forward, smacking one of the masked men square in the chest. He dropped to the ground on impact, the lightning shooting out in all directions and taking out three more.
