The moment Money appeared, he whipped his tail at the feathered beastman. The feathered beastman was in the midst of excitement and had not expected Money to appear suddenly. She was whipped without being able to do anything.

However, this feathered beastman seemed quite strong. She only moved slightly from the whip, and only a red mark was left on her arm. Her skin wasn't even split, and no blood had been spilled.

Money was a peak second-stage Demon Emperor. A whip from him was enough to send fourth-stage Emperors flying far away. However, this feathered beastman only suffered a tiny injury, and her body had only moved slightly even though she was hit while she didn't have any defenses on her. Just from that, this feathered beastman's strength was evident.

She looked at Money, and a sharp glint covered her eyes as she said, "Where is this snake from? You dare ruin this young lady's affair? Die!"

The feathered beastman was furious. She had been greatly excited, about to enjoy her time with a handsome human. But just as she was about to get started, she was disrupted. How could she not be angry?

Her wings flapped, kicking up a force of wind that transformed into sharp blades and shot at Money. The two wind attacks were extremely fast and powerful, reaching a level comparable to a late-stage Emperor. Money also moved as fast as lighting and swiftly dodged the attacks before spitting a lightning bolt at her.

"Paltry tricks," the feathered beastman snorted as she flapped her wings again, creating an even more powerful wind force that slapped the lightning bolt away.

She then shot toward Money like an arrow let loose from a bow. She was incredibly fast. In a flash, she arrived above Money before furiously stomping him with both her feet. Money had freakish speed, and even sixth-stage Emperors could not harm him easily. However, this feathered beastman was absolutely the fastest of the fastest, and not even Money could avoid her attack. He was stamped into the ground.

  Bang!

Money's face was slammed into the ground with a loud rumble. As the two fought, Xiang Shaoyun took the chance to use two stalks of emperor medicine to hasten his recovery. Only by healing his body would his soul power recover to normal. And only then would he be able to borrow the power of the Nether Soul Domain.

However, he had not expected Money to suffer such a quick defeat. He hastily shouted, "Don't kill him!"

"Sure, but you need to agree to copulate with me," said the feathered beastman.

"Th-that...fine. But I am seriously injured right now, so I am too weak to do that. Can you wait for me to recover first?" Xiang Shaoyun asked bashfully.

The more the feathered beastman looked at him, the more she liked him. Thus, she agreed straightforwardly. "Sure, sure. I will wait for you to recover."

She was able to sense his strength clearly, and she did not think he would pose her any sort of threat, which was why she was willing to wait for him to heal.

Xiang Shaoyun heaved a breath of relief and started healing himself at top speed. As for Money, he got up from the ground and glared at the feathered beastman indignantly. Electrical currents swirled around his body, as if he was ready for a second round with her.

"Don't provoke me, or I'll skin you," said the feathered beastman.

Money was about to flare up when Xiang Shaoyun's voice transmission arrived, "Money, calm down. Wait for me to heal up first."

Only then did Money suppress his anger. As for Xiang Shaoyun, he focused on healing. Shortly after, a group of feathered beastmen came over.

"Aili, did you find anything here?" asked one of them.

The one asking was a male feathered beastman. His name was Aikai, and he was the strongest in the group.

"Aikai, I found a handsome man. I am going to copulate with him and give birth to the most beautiful children. Shoo, go back to your own business," Aili replied.

For them, this affair did not seem like something they would be ashamed of. Rather, it seemed like a glorious deed. When Aikai heard her words, his gaze landed on Xiang Shaoyun. He pointed his pitchfork at him and said, "This useless human is the one who has caught your eyes?"

"I do not allow you to speak of him like that!" Aili said.

"Sure, I won't speak of him like that. How about I kill him?" said Aikai unhappily as he charged Xiang Shaoyun.

It would seem Aikai was going to kill just for a minor disagreement.

Chapter 714: You Can Try Escaping if You Want

Aikai was Aili's admirer, and they were frequent “partners”. Now that Aili had found herself a new lover, how could Aikai accept it? Aikai was stronger than Aili. The moment he attacked, not even Money could react before the pitchfork stabbed into Xiang Shaoyun's body.

During this moment of crisis, Xiang Shaoyun finally decided to no longer stay still and released his Nether Soul Domain. He had recovered considerably and could now use his Nether Soul Domain. In addition to Aikai, all the feathered beastmen in the area were trapped within the Nether Soul Domain.

"You will think a tiger is a cat if it doesn't show its might." This time, Xiang Shaoyun truly intended to kill.

He found that these beastmen couldn't be reasoned with. Only by showing sufficient strength would he be able to restrain them.

  Imperial Nether Prison.

Numerous chains shot out from everywhere, attacking all the trapped feathered beastmen. Before the feathered beastmen even realized what was happening, the chains shackled them all.

"What are these? Get away from me!" Aikai roared as he flapped his wings, forming numerous blades that sliced at the chains.

Unfortunately for him, his strength was greatly suppressed in the Nether Soul Domain. Furthermore, the chains were far tougher than anything he had imagined. Those chains had reached a Sovereign's level. How could they break free from them?

"Handsome human, what are you trying to do?" Aili asked in alarm. She was similarly shackled by the chains.

"Nothing much. I just want to kill all of you," said Xiang Shaoyun with a grim tone.

"No, please don't. I don't want to die!" some feathered beastmen started begging.

The beastmen were the same as humans. They had complex emotions, and in such a helpless situation, it was natural for them to plead for leniency. Even Aikai, who was still struggling to break free, became flustered.

"Are you worth sparing?" Xiang Shaoyun questioned in a calm and unruffled manner instead of directly killing them.

"You humans are only here at the Sinister Wind Den for the yin wind grass, right? We know where you can find some!" said Aili.

  "Do you?" Xiang Shaoyun questioned.

  The feathered beastmen hastily nodded.

"Apart from the yin wind grass, do you have any other good stuff?" Xiang Shaoyun asked after giving it some thought. "Just the yin wind grass alone is not enough for me to spare all of you."

His final sentence frightened some of the beastmen so much they started trembling.

Aikai answered, "Apart from the yin wind grass, we also have yin wind stone. In fact, we took this trip to search for yin wind stones. Those stones can help us increase our wind power."

"Yin wind stone? Is it the stone capable of gathering yin wind?" Xiang Shaoyun asked in excitement.

"That's right. Each time the Yin Wind Devil Face appears, yin wind stones will appear as well. Things should be the same this time," said Aikai.

"Good, that is decent information. I will spare your lives," said Xiang Shaoyun. "However, you may have escaped death, but you still need to be punished. Swallow these poison pills. After you gather yin wind grass and yin wind stones, I will give you the antidote. Otherwise, none of you will live."

He then released them and gave them the poison pills. At that moment, one of them tried to slip away. He was confident that without the Nether Soul Domain, he would be able to escape easily. However, he had only gone a few steps before the Nether Soul Domain swallowed him again. When he reappeared, he was already a corpse.

"You can try escaping if you want," said Xiang Shaoyun
toward the others with a sneer.

The range of his Nether Soul Domain was no longer small. Within the distance his senses could reach, killing someone was as easy as flipping his hand. His actions frightened the other feathered beastmen, and they immediately swallowed the poison pills.

They were actual poison pills. Xiang Shaoyun had obtained them from the Emperors he had killed in the past. He had kept them with him and had not gotten any chance to use them.

Now, he could use them to make these feathered beastmen work for him. If he had to personally search for the grass and the stones, it would take a lot of time. If he could actually use the Nether Dragon Soul Headband on them, he wouldn't have to put so much effort into controlling them.

After swallowing the poison pills, they headed off and started working for Xiang Shaoyun unwillingly. Before they left, Xiang Shaoyun warned that if they did not return in seven days with what he wanted, the poison would erupt and they would die.

And thus, Xiang Shaoyun obtained a period of peace. With Money standing guard, he continued to heal himself. After three days, he was finally fully healed. He started studying his surroundings, and he learned that this place was very far from the Sinister Wind Den.

He had not expected that a gust of wind would bring him this far. Some wind elemental plants could be found in the area, but it was too bad their grades were low. The beastmen had probably harvested the high-grade herbs long ago.

After making sure there were no dangers in his surroundings, he entered meditation again instead of roaming around. He was going to increase his wind power and comprehend the profundity of wind.

After witnessing the inhalation and exhalation of that devil face, he had a feeling the profundity of wind was much deeper than what he had originally thought. Speed was not the only aspect of wind. Destruction was also an aspect of it, and it was worth studying.

Xiang Shaoyun tried to empty his mind and comprehend the profundity of wind. But for some reason, the devil face kept appearing in his mind like a vengeful spirit, making it hard for him to stay calm. He kept having a feeling that the face was everywhere in this cultivation zone, and he was unable to calm his mind.

"What was it exactly? They called it the Yin Wind Devil Face. Is that the source of the yin wind?" Xiang Shaoyun wondered.

He then recalled the sight of the beastmen and demonic beasts heading toward the Sinister Wind Den without a care for their lives. Eventually, they were all swallowed by the devil face. They were then spat out in the form of blood. Just from that, it was obvious something terrifying was behind that face.

Xiang Shaoyun was unable to make sense of it, and he sensibly decided to forget about it.

After getting the yin wind grass and the yin wind stones, perhaps he could use them to comprehend the profundity of wind. After two more days, Aikai returned. He was badly injured, his appearance giving Xiang Shaoyun a shock.

"Aikai, what happened?" Xiang Shaoyun asked.

"Dead, all dead," Aikai answered, intense fear plastered all over his face.

"What all dead? Speak clearly!" Xiang Shaoyun said with a frown.

  Chapter 715: Yin Wind Devil

"Aili...and the others...th-they're all dead!" Aikai said, and that final word seemed to have exhausted all his energy. He collapsed onto the ground. Without saying anything further, Xiang Shaoyun fed Aikai some emperor-grade spring liquid. After a short rest, Aikai finally recovered some color to his face.

"What happened exactly?" Xiang Shaoyun asked.

In truth, he did not care about the beastmen's deaths but what had happened that had caused these decently powerful beastmen to die.

"It's the yin wind devils. They have descended! They are too scary. We're not their match at all. They snatched all the yin wind grass we found, and even the yin wind stones were lost," said Aikai, fear plastered all over his face.

"Yin wind devil? How did they get here?" Xiang Shaoyun exclaimed in alarm.

The yin wind devils were a part of the devils. Like the devil wind beasts, they were wind elemental devils. Of the two, the yin wind devils were the stronger species. Generally speaking, devils would only exist within the Devil Domain. But with their appearance here, did this mean that the Devil Domain was related to this place? Or perhaps the devils had invaded the surface world again?

"It's the Yin Wind Devil Face! It was rumored that the crack at the Sinister Wind Den is a spatial crack. Behind the crack are countless treasures. Because of that, each time it appears, the beastmen and demonic beasts will try to enter. But after so many years, nobody has ever left alive. This time, even yin wind devils have appeared. They must have arrived from the Yin Wind Devil Face," said Aikai.

"In other words, the yin wind devils have never appeared before?" Xiang Shaoyun asked.

  "Yes," Aikai answered.

"Where are they currently?" Xiang Shaoyun asked.

Just as Aikai was about to answer, they saw some yin wind devils flying toward them. The yin wind devils were akin to corpses without legs. They looked ugly and dreadful, their faces covered by their messy hair. Each had a pair of tentacles that swayed about incessantly, while "woo woo" sounds came from their mouths without stop. The ghostly sounds they made were incredibly eerie.

If one paid close attention, one would find that their faces looked incredibly similar to the devil face. It was clear they were of the same origin. They hovered about, and with a few flashes, they abruptly appeared behind Xiang Shaoyun and Aikai.

There were only five yin wind devils here, but wherever they appeared, a baleful aura filled their surroundings. The moment they discovered Xiang Shaoyun and Aikai, they attacked. Gusts of yin wind surged out of their mouths with an unstoppable speed.

Xiang Shaoyun might be fast, but his opponents were even faster. One of the attacks struck him, slamming him away as a gush of yin vicious energy invaded his body. This was an exact repeat of what the devil face had done earlier, with the strength of the two attacks being the only difference.

This level of attack was still something Xiang Shaoyun could withstand. When the yin wind devils were about to launch their second wave of attacks, several ghostrunes appeared before him.

These ghostrunes had grown to a rather large size. They exuded a rich devilish aura, and as they flapped their wings, a peculiar power rippled out in waves. The moment that power rippled out, the yin wind devils stopped all movement, as if they had been nailed to the ground. At the same time, their bodies swayed about as if they had gotten drunk.

The ghostrunes took the opportunity to charge over and bite the yin wind devils. The yin wind devils were completely unable to resist as the ghostrunes ate them. These ghostrunes were the ones who had survived the frost attack at the Deep Tidalwave cultivation zone. Gui Qi was among them.

After devouring some dark origin energy, they had reached late-stage Emperor Realm. Subsequently, they were nearly killed by the energy of extreme cold. Barely surviving, they swallowed the corpses of their companions, enhancing their bloodline yet again, letting them grow even stronger.

These ghostrunes were no weaker than eighth-stage Devil Emperors, and Gui Qi was now a peak Devil Emperor, only a step away from becoming a Devil Sovereign. Now, they were finally displaying the prowess of the runes on their wings.

The illusory ability of their wings could instantly send an opponent into a daze if the wings were glanced at even once. This attack had caught the yin wind devils by surprise, resulting in their deaths. One could say that this one ghostrune ability was enough to trouble many races.

Aikai had no idea how the ghostrunes had appeared, but he was filled with shock when he saw them defeating the yin wind devils so easily. At the same time, his reverence toward Xiang Shaoyun increased.

Xiang Shaoyun found that these yin wind devils did not have any yin wind grass and yin wind stones. Evidently, the other yin wind devils were keeping them.

"Heal up quickly. We will go pay these yin wind devils a visit," said Xiang Shaoyun.

>   "Oh, yes, yes," Aikai answered and focused on recovering.

Xiang Shaoyun took the chance to think of a way to deal with the yin wind devils. Since the yin wind devils could kill the feathered beastmen, they were definitely more of them. Perhaps they would even have a Devil Sovereign in their midst.

I'm here to comprehend the profundity of wind. Fighting the yin wind devils might assist in my comprehension, but I doubt they will come in small numbers. I won't be able to face them all, not even with the assistance of Gui Qi and the others, Xiang Shaoyun considered.

After about half a day, Aikai had recovered decently. However, he had not recovered enough to be able to fight. Xiang Shaoyun no longer relied on him. He gave him the antidote and left after learning the direction of the yin wind devils.

The ghostrunes and Money had all been kept away. He was traveling alone. Soon, he arrived at a place with lush weeds. The place was filled with chilly wind, dense baleful aura, and numerous zombies. Rocks were scattered everywhere. It was indeed an incredibly eerie spot.

The yin wind devils could be seen flying about, controlling the zombies in the area. Any beastmen and demonic beasts that approached would be attacked. When they discovered Xiang Shaoyun, they also sent a group of zombies to attack him. Instead of wasting any time with the zombies, Xiang Shaoyun flew to the sky straight toward the yin wind devils.

"Today, I shall get to know the yin wind devils," declared Xiang Shaoyun with excitement.

Chapter 716: Only Speed Is Undefeated

The yin wind devils relied on their insane speed to kill. They were capable of blending into the wind, moving and attacking with the power of wind. One could say that they had extremely deep comprehension of wind.

Xiang Shaoyun planned to accumulate his own comprehension through battling them. All these years, he always believed that only battle could improve his combat sense, and only combat could allow him to comprehend what he wanted to learn.
