Here’s to the folks of Team Hunter, my awesome Alpha and Beta readers, and to all the awesome people at Shadow Alley Press: Aaron Crash, Nathaniel, DJ, Jess, Toria, Jay, Jake, Zack, Alejandro, Jeanette (of course) and the amazing eden Hudson—the coolest writer on the planet. And of course a big thanks to my editor, Tamara Blain who rocked this book.

Thank you so much for taking sides in the dungeon civil war with us. I hope your side won. It was a long, hard fight that turned floor against floor and author against author. Okay, maybe not that last part. But this wasn’t an easy one. Thankfully I didn’t have to battle through it alone. James Hunter, Infernali word-virtuoso, used his +10 Intelligence and +10 Magick to make Roark’s second adventure into something incredible. Every time you said “Oh, sweet!” or “#$^% yeah!” while reading was because of his cool-smart brain, and I’m so grateful that I get to co-op mode this series with him.
In addition to James, there are a few more dungeon lords, lava kelpies, and heralds from across Hearthworld who I need to thank for helping with this book.
The original Devs, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, for pretty much everything. Civil War wouldn’t exist as it is if They hadn’t given me a life or writing or a friend named James with great story ideas.
The team at Shadow Alley Press for letting a dweeb like me hang out with them. I am the Dude_Farkowitz to their PwnrBwner, but they are so much nicer about it.
Renowned sweet and sour shakers-n-bakers: Silvia, Koeur, and Michael.
Tim McBain and LT Vargus for treating me like one of the cool kids (non-sarcastically).
My brother Buddy for all the times he let me play Croc on his Playstation.
My sister Lizzy for doing all the bragging about my books so I don’t have to.
And my Joshua, for making sure I stay fed and warm IRL while my brain is logged in to the writing game trying to grind out that next level.
