“Works for me. Boy?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Look up and tell your Sir what you’re going to do if you need to safeword,” Marco interjected, probably needing an extra layer of confirmation before bringing someone new into the scene.
“Say red or move away and you’ll come help me.”
“Good boy,” the other Dom praised.
“Kneel in front of him.”
And then it was happening. The hulking, tattooed boy, who could have easily ripped him in half, was pulling down his messy jock strap with surprisingly gentle fingers. His Keeper was dragging the flogger over his back, warming him up. The audience was cheering and calling out suggestions, making his face burn.
He knew that they must make quite a tableau. The hulking sub on his knees beneath him. The strikingly beautiful Dom behind him. And Greg, with his gray hair and a tiny blue thong that trapped his legs, helpless in the middle.
An unfamiliar mouth wrapped around his tip, the technique different but deliciously good after all of that teasing. The first lashes fell across his back, not too hard, but leaving a warm sting.
“Look at them,” Marco commanded. “See how they want you?”
And Greg had no choice but to turn his head, watching the people watching him, while he was pleasured and hurt and absolutely taken apart under their hungry gazes.
They wanted him, all those watchers. They wanted to see him squirm and shudder and give himself up.
And the sub wanted him, his mouth wet and tongue rapid. He gripped Greg’s hips with his rough hands, holding him in place while he took him all the way down. Thank God he was holding him up, because otherwise Greg felt like his knees would collapse.
And then there was Marco, always Marco, his strikes heavier now, the pain rooting into him and not fading between one strike and the next.
This was all for Marco. Marco who knew him and loved him and gave him every perverted, crazy, wonderful thing that he needed.
And it was all starting to come together. The exquisite suction. The burning pain arcing through him, going straight to his balls. Those faces and bodies, panting and aching from watching him.
It was too much. Almost dizzying. Too much input, but he couldn’t twist away, didn’t dare close his eyes.
“Come when you’re ready,” said Marco softly.
And then he was spurting and shaking, the sub swallowing and lapping at him, holding him up. Marco gave him two more harsh strikes across the untouched backs of his knees, wringing everything from him as he rode out his orgasm.
The crowd faded away as he closed his eyes, lost in bliss. He was floating, quaking, lost in sensation and tethered by Marco wrapping around his back, the rough denim and smooth skin kissing his welts in perfect torment.
Marco supported him, urging him to walk, but he didn’t see where. And then he was snuggled up in Marco’s lap. Surrounded by Marco. The only thing that he needed to know and the only place that he wanted to be.
The world was hazy and distant, Marco’s heartbeat and skin the only real things.
When he drifted back to his body, Marco was stroking his back and kissing his forehead. He’d removed the lace, but his eyes were still outlined in peacock blue.
Marco held a straw to his lips, the cool, sweet taste of Sprite bubbling on his tongue. He was thirstier than he thought.
He felt overwhelmed with love and gratitude. Thank you, Keeper.
Marco shook his head. You never have to thank me. You know that.
No, thank you for remembering our anniversary. Thank you for making it special. I didn’t think you knew. Or wanted to do anything. Since you hate Valentine’s Day.
My adorable promiser, it’s in your planner and your phone calendar. Of course, I was going to celebrate it.
Because I wanted it?
Because I like anniversaries a lot more than Valentine’s Day. And because I love you. And most importantly, because I want to give you everything you need.
You did. You always do. Tonight was amazing.
Marco gave him a soft kiss, just a touch of his lips. You were amazing.
Greg felt so warm and drowsy and loved. It was completely different and yet surprisingly the same as all his visits to the club with Richard. He always left boneless and content, knowing he was the center of his Dominant’s world.
And he could see that there was room for both. All the memories of Richard that infused the place, and the new memories that he would make with Marco. Marco who pampered him and snuggled him and kept surprising him with his twisted, glorious imagination.
Marco who was right here, his cozy nest, his home.
Greg found himself stifling a yawn.
Let’s get you home, sweetheart. A warm shower and some soft PJs are just what you need.
Greg nodded against his shoulder, feeling small and adored.
Let’s go home.
The End
Thank you…
Tristan, thank you for your friendship over the years and for sharing kinky ASL terms with me. (For those who are curious, Tristan thought of the “promiser” title and I love it.)
Amy, thank you for all your support as I launch my journey as a writer, and for checking cover revisions when my eyes were crossing.
Many thanks to Asher, Bri, Celyn, and Mildred for your invaluable feedback. From finding tiny typos and confusing details to some necessary feedback throughout, I appreciate all of time and attention you’ve put into this.
Endless gratitude to my partner, as ever, for supporting my writing even though it means I never get to bed on time and our children have practically forgotten who I am. =)
And as always, thank you to all of my ARC reviewers and everyone who takes the time to give feedback and stars on GoodReads and Amazon. It means a lot to me!

About Reese Morrison
Reese Morrison lives in Philadelphia with their partner, two precocious children, and intermittent housemates, guests, and homeless, queer teens. Their hobbies are volunteering on too many boards, planting gardens that they forget to water half-way through the summer, making up songs for their kids, and putting off writing their dissertation.
Reese and their partner both identify as genderqueer and are part of a vibrant community of queer and trans folks. They started writing because they were dissatisfied with the lack of trans and genderqueer characters in what they were reading and finally decided to do something about it. Many, but not all, of their books are kinky (for a whole range of kinks...) and they feel that it's important to represent a range of backgrounds, dis/abilities, gender presentations/ identities, and body types in their writing.
