  WHAT’S HAPPENED SO FAR

Twenty human women have their reasons for selling their bodies to aliens for money, and no two stories are the same. It’s these twenty women who find themselves together on an assignment claiming to be different from the rest. Most alien races don’t bring in twenty women at once. Most aliens don’t say they’re looking for a Chosen mate or promise they can stay with them forever. The biggest difference? These aliens refuse to treat females as pets. And while plenty of the women are happy to carry the new title of equal, many believe their unique circumstances are too good to be true. After all, aliens aren’t kind to humans. And what little known history they have about their new buyers – the Sidyths – isn’t promising.

Sidyths originate on Sidetha and are known throughout the galaxy for disrespecting women. They say they’re weak. They’re impulsive. They need to be tamed. And if females on their homeworld don’t measure up, they’re thrown into something referred to as “the hunt.” There are a few who know the true meaning of this word, but their lips are sealed.

Luckily, Hethdiss isn’t their homeworld, and these Sidyths claim to be different from the rest.

Exiled from home for refusing to follow Sidyth customs and sent to an out of the way world to fade into obscurity, their numbers are hard to guess, and their motivations are more opaque. And while some aliens claim they’re different, there are often homesick whisperings of the fatherland.

The Sidyths are somewhat humanoid in appearance, but that’s where the similarities end. They’re seven feet tall, blue, covered in scales, and will freeze without the constant presence of sun rayers or heat. They have a surprising amount of comfort considering their exiled status, and the women have a former Sidyth royal, Prince Korben, to thank for that.

Life is shockingly comfortable, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t expectations.

Prince Korben didn’t order twenty human females to Hethdiss for fun. He wanted a mate. He wanted his most trusted brothers to find mates as well. He strives to create a utopia where males and females are treated equally. Most of Prince Korben’s brothers are thrilled at the idea of having a mate even if she is an alien, but most of the humans are not nearly as enthusiastic. Prince Korben promises the human females will be safe and welcome to stay if they’re happy on Hethdiss, but most women have worked far too long to take the promise of an alien seriously.

Things are going well enough for the humans. Prince Korben has found a mate in Blythe, the busty, feisty de facto leader of the group, and the two of them now have their first daughter, Kyeth. There are several successful pairings – Azan and York, Hujun and Ellis, Layla and Dolan, Sloane and Exer and most recently, Phoebe and Drazal. The mates care for their females and time passes. There are now three babies, with two more on the way. Sometimes it’s too easy to forget that the Sidyths have entirely separate lives back on their home planet. The women don’t ask many questions about what goes on Sidetha, and while most males prefer to keep the past in the past, some can only think of what they’ve left behind.

Drozass knew he would have his hands full after deciding Arizona would be his Chosen mate. She’s the most experienced human female on Hethdiss, and like many others, believes love is an illusion. But he suspects her reasons for rejecting him aren’t what she’s saying to him. Yes, he’s young, and no, he’s not wealthy. That doesn’t seem to bother her. There’s something else… some unspoken reason, and he intends to find out what.

However, the harder he tries to learn about Arizona’s past, the more he realizes it’s her present that’s holding her back. Specifically, the three females she spends so much time with. And what worries Drozass is that he’s not the only one who’s interested in learning about Arizona. Chocal’s got his eye on her too, and for some reason, Arizona is drawn to him.

This is where Addicted to the Alien begins.

  Chapter One

  Arizona

The moans across the dirt hallway cause me to stir in bed. It’s a decent enough bed, as far as alien beds go, but what’s happening in the bed across the hall is what’s bothering me.

I should have gone over to the first lair tonight. There’s plenty of distractions, but Kansas said she wanted to speak to me about something. As the newest member of my family, we don’t always see eye to eye, so any time she reaches out, I want to be there for her. But it’s been over an hour, and Dakota’s screaming as Cade fucks the living hell out of her keeps me on edge. I bite back a sigh of annoyance. Fucking sounds didn’t always bother me, but since arriving on Hethdiss, I hear a difference in the sounds my family members make. Sex was never enjoyable. At least, not this much so. But I hear the differences in Kansas’ moans. Dakota’s cries. Even Alaska, who I’m pretty sure is a robot, is coming alive under Taylis’ grumpy hand.

“Oh, Gods, YES! Fuck me, Cade! Fuck me harder!”

I grind my teeth to drown out the sounds of Dakota. Damn. It’s one thing to please the client, but I get the feeling that thinking of Cade as a client is the last thing on Dakota’s mind. She’s enjoying herself. Far too much. It’s dangerous, but I can’t exactly bust in there and pull the two of them apart – despite how much I want to.

My girls are careless lately. It’s happened before, but this is the worst it’s ever been because all three of them are falling for the Sidyth’s charm. I can’t believe they allowed themselves to do it. I thought I taught them well. Love is an illusion. Love is a joke. Family is the only love you need. And yet, they’re spreading their legs with smiles on their faces, inviti
ng in not only cock but heartbreak.

I pinch my eyes shut and roll over in the bed. It’s not even my own. I’m probably not much better in their eyes because if I were as strong-willed as I wanted to be, I’d sleep in the Gathering Room in the first lair with Prince Korben and his merry happy family.

But no. I keep telling myself I stay here at the second lair to keep an eye on my girls and some of the younger ones, but I know it’s more than that.

This bed isn’t mine. It belongs to a Sidyth named Drozass.

Ugh, I hate how my thighs tingle just from thinking about him. He’s an alien. He’s big and blue and scaled and shouldn’t do anything for my libido. I’ve fucked Sidyths in the past. The scales on their dicks are a pleasant addition, but not exactly reason to try and convince myself there’s a future there. But spending a year around Drozass has worn down my resolve. Instead of a few weeks or months, he has time to spend around me. He doesn’t need to hunt or gather or do anything. He’s just… around.

And he spends most of his free time around me.

Just thinking about him makes my body hot and flushed, a feeling I’m not used to. I turn it on for clients, but I’m not used to it happening without my permission. But that’s what Drozass does to me. Ugh, and God. Everything about him should annoy me. His name is Drozass. Drozass, for God’s sake! I used to call him Doe-Ass to piss him off, but he didn’t really get it, and it’s a weakass attempt to get under his skin anyway.

Plus, I’m pretty sure he’s young, really young. Probably one of the younger Sidyths here, and though I’m confident he’d be legal by a few years back on Earth, that doesn’t give me much confidence because I’ll be thirty-two in a few months. Don’t get me wrong, I look good, but to me, age is not nothin’ but a number. It’s a state of being. Drozass is still growing up. Even over the past few months, I’ve watched him grow and fill out. He’s sexy. Too sexy. And young. Good God, he’s so young.

Women fantasize about being with younger men, and it’s not like I’m not one of them, but I can’t picture settling down with one.

I shouldn’t think about him in this way – or any way. As one of the top working Intergalactic Call-Girls, I can safely say settling down isn’t in my vocabulary. But I guess if someone held a gun to my head, I could see myself settling down with Drozass. I think about his rock-hard blue body and the way he made me cry out the first couple nights on Hethdiss when I truly wanted to believe this assignment was no different than the others. I spread because he obviously wanted me to. And I made it good for him. Damn good. So good he thinks I’ll give up Alaska, Dakota, and Kansas for him. For a life on an isolated planet with nineteen other space whores – ahem – I mean, Intergalactic Call-Girls.

Life as Drozass’ mate probably wouldn’t be terrible. After all, I’m not the only one who makes pleasure feel incredible between us. I don’t think things would ever get dull with Drozass, either. Even if we had a kid together—

  Goddammit. I’m doing it again.

I am allowing my mind to drift and think about things that cannot happen for me. This assignment will come to an end, and I can’t think about a kid that’s never going to be born because I’m never going to have Chentan reverse my hormonal shots. It cannot happen. Prince Korben can’t possibly back up what he’s promising. Yes, he’s a prince, but still exiled at the end of the day. Would his father let him stay here with human whores – ahem – Intergalactic Call-Girls for mates? I sure as shit don’t think so.

Grumbling loudly, I finally notice steps heading toward Drozass’ lair. Yes. That’s right. I’m in Drozass’ lair because I don’t want to spend time with the happy, baby-obsessed females in the first lair. It’s too warm. Too comforting. Too much of an illusion that will likely shatter any day now. And then what? What will happen to the happy couples? What will happen to the mixed-species babies toddling around? I’ll tell you what. They’ll be pulled apart. Separated. And all the females (mated or not) will be shipped to the next buyer. And the only people who will get to stay together are my girls and me. Me, Alaska, Dakota, and annoying-ass Kansas. Yup. The only family I need is my girls. They’re the only ones I can keep.

They’re the only ones that matter.

  Speaking of which…

  “Hey, bitch.”

I lift my head. Kansas has pulled away the curtain, and she lumbers into the room with an odd expression on her freckled face. Ugh. Like she’s trying to hide a damn smile. She must have spent some private time with that asshole Dash again. I honestly don’t get what she sees in him. Kansas spends every waking moment fighting me about every little damn thing, but she practically gets off on being his damn slave.

“Yo.” I salute her, and she takes a seat next to me on the bed. “Your hair looks like shit.”

“Your face looks like shit. Have you considered asking someone for some alien anti-wrinkle cream?”

A smile flickers across my face. God, she’s a pain in my ass, but I love that about her almost as much as I hate that about her. She drives me crazy, but at least she’s challenging. With me, at least. I can’t say the same for what she does in the bedroom with Dash. “I look good for my age, bitch.”

“And what age is that again? Forty? You want us to throw you a party?”

I slap her across the shoulder, and we both laugh. “Seriously. What did you want to speak to me about?”

She bites down on her lower lip. “You know what. I keep trying to talk to you, but you’ve been blowing me off. I figure now since Drozass is at the first lair, you can’t run away from me.”

  “I’m not running away.”

“You’re absolutely running away. And I get it. You’re scared—”

“I’m not fucking scared.” The idea is appalling to me, but Kansas’ face remains as set as ever.

“We need to have another group meeting,” she says gently.

  “About what?”

“You know. About seriously considering staying here. Accepting what it means for us.”

“If you’re asking my permission to have Chentan reverse your hormonal shot, do whatever you want. It’s not my baby I’ll have to give away.”

“Ari. I’m not asking for that, and you know it.”

“Then what?” I hiss. “I told you to be careful about this. I thought you learned your lesson after what happened with Dasal—”

“Do not bring that up.” Her voice comes out like a hiss that would even make a Sidyth proud. I’m treading on dangerous territory, but sometimes a leader must speak about what others would rather keep quiet. Kansas has made mistakes before. Aliens have tricked her. She believes their lies only to have them shatter at her feet. But she keeps doing the same thing. “Dash isn’t like that.”

“Dash is a creep,” I grumble. “And if you think he’ll fight to keep you here after this assignment ends, Kansas, then you haven’t learned anything from your past mistakes.”

She huffs, rising. “See? This is why I can’t talk to you lately. You won’t listen! You won’t accept that—”

  “What?”

“Things are different here!” she yells, waving her hands around. “You have to accept it at some point, Ari. Not all of them are assholes.”

  “Yes, they are.”

Her hazel eyes narrow. “You’re missing out on something that could be great. I see the way he looks at you.”

“You don’t see anything. Seriously, Kansas. I can’t believe you’re doing this to yourself again. After everything I’ve taught you.”

“Taught me? The only thing you’ve taught me is not to trust anyone.”

“I said you couldn’t trust them.” I rise to my feet as well. And though I’m a formidable woman, I’m still a good four or five inches shorter than Kansas. But she’s lanky. Always has been. And I’m strong. I fight to keep my body in shape – almost as much as the workout twins Rene and Devyn. But it’s not like I’ll fight Kansas. Not physically. I just want things to be normal again. When Washington—

  “You
re thinking about her again, aren’t you?” Kansas’ voice is soft. “Washington—”

My entire body stiffens. I don’t want to think about Washington. I think of her straight black hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. I think of what happened to her that night. How they treated her. What I had to do— “Get out, Kansas.”

She wilts. “Come on, Ari. They’re different. I feel it. You feel it too—”

“I said, get the fuck out!” I push hard against her chest, sending her through the curtain of Drozass’ lair and into the hallway. I advance, wanting to push her again to put more distance between us, until I realize we’re not alone.

Drozass’ golden-yellow eyes are wide with surprise, and something else. Something darker. A disappointed look I rather not dwell on. He steadies Kansas, but she bats his hands away as though they’re covered in ice and fire.

“You’re going to die a lonely bitch, you know that?” she shouts, pointing the finger at me. “And you?” She rounds back on Drozass. “I feel sorry for you. Sorry that you think she’ll be anything other than who she is.” She shakes her head before spinning back around and marching down the hall, probably to Dash’s room. I want to scream something at her, something to prove I’ll always have the last word, but I remember Kansas’ words, what she said to Drozass.

  She feels sorry for him.

  She’s probably not wrong.

  Chapter Two

  Arizona

“Looks like you’ve had another stirring conversation with Kansas.” Alaska shakes her head the following morning as though it’s my fucking fault for not keeping her under control. I may be the so-called leader of the group, but sometimes I’m still jealous of my closest friend. Unlike me, Alaska’s always able to turn off her emotions. The girl must have watched the beginning of Pretty Woman one too many times right before Drakens abducted her ass, but that’s neither here nor there. She’s alone in Taylis’ lair, and he’s probably forbidden her to leave so, for the time being, at least I can have some privacy with someone I trust.
