Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Page 23

by Kevin Shinick

And at night, when everything was put away and all Karr’s collectibles were cataloged and sorted and stashed on their shelves…he pulled out a datapad. A Force collector’s job was more than just collecting. It was also explaining. His job was to remember. To share the stories. And he couldn’t wait to begin.

He called up a blank document, cracked his knuckles, and began to type.

  A long time ago…

This book could not have happened without the continued enthusiasm of Mike Siglain, the guidance of Jen Heddle and Story Group, and the constant support from my own personal Jedi Council: Scott Shinick, Karina Green, Jen Carta, Stephen Wacker, and my wonderful wife, Eileen. All of them listened to me talk about Star Wars far longer than I’m sure they expected to after offering up the innocent query, “Would it help to talk it through?”

Also thank you to my parents for always nurturing my obsession with things found in a galaxy far, far away.
