There he was. As tall and as handsome as ever. He had this way of making her feel more alive. She got excited like a kid going to a fair when she saw him. No one could see them behind the building, and she ran up and put her arms around his neck and kissed him.
“So what’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I’m fine, I just needed to talk you about something. Follow me. No one saw you, did they?”
“No, I’m good at sneaking around. At least you didn’t ask me to climb a tree. I’m not sure I would have done that, even for you.”
She went around the back of her trailer and peeped out. No one was nearby and she quickly opened the door and dragged him inside.
He stood with his hands on his hips and raised an eyebrow as he stared down at her. “So what is going on here?”
Gemma flicked the lock on the door and pulled the blinds. The trailer was darker, but she could still make him out in the dim light.
“I know we said we would get together when I get back from New York, but I wanted to give you a gift to say thanks you for being there for me.”
“You don’t need to thank me for anything, and I’m happy to wait. Well, maybe not happy, but I’ll cope. It will make it all the better when I get you naked.”
“I’ve been thinking maybe I could do something to tide you over.”
“What are you planning, Gemma?” Mitch raised an eyebrow as he peered at her.
She sat down on the couch on one side of the trailer and indicated with her finger for him to come over. He shook his head and grinned but walked across and stood before her. He was wearing jeans and a shirt. Gemma pulled his shirt from his jeans and unbuttoned it. His torso was glorious and taut, just like she remembered. She ran her hands over his abdomen and up his chest. When she went to unzip his jeans, he put his hand on hers.
“You don’t have to do this. I’m not saying I don’t want you to, but you don’t have to.”
“Mitch. I definitely want to do this, but we don’t have much time.” Gemma thought for a moment he might stop her as he glanced at the door. When he looked back, his pupils were dilating as he gazed down at her.
Gemma placed little kisses across his waist and then licked a trail from his belly button down to the top of his boxers. Her hands went around the back of his jeans and pulled them down to his knees. The bulge was obvious in his boxers, and she gently rubbed her fingers up and down the length through the thin material. She wouldn’t tease and make him wait too long. She slipped his boxers down to his knees and smiled at the sight of his engorged dick. She glanced up at him.
“I love that I turn you on like this.” He smelled so good, like a musky shower gel and all man.
“You fucking turn me on when I look at you, let alone when you’re doing this.”
She opened her mouth and moved the head of his dick around her lips but didn’t take him into her mouth yet. She licked up and down his dick with the tip of her tongue. He was beautiful and she wanted him so much the ache between her legs was almost painful.
Gemma moved one hand to cup his taut balls and massaged them gently. Her other hand encircled his cock and slowly moved back and forth as she gazed up. His eyes were half closed and his breathing got heavier, which gave her the impetus to move on.
She opened her mouth and took in the head of his cock and sucked gently. Her tongue swirled around the end and dipped into the opening. She flicked her tongue back and forth on the little strand of skin underneath and hoped the sensation would send him wild. She wanted him to come back for more. He growled deep in his throat and placed his hands on her head. He massaged her scalp through her hair as she worked on him. It sent tingles through her body. Turning him on made her nipples hard and her breasts ache and heavy.
“You’re so fucking good,” he said in a low, guttural voice.
Her left hand moved back to press the skin behind his balls, and he started to increase his movements with the pressure. Time and again she took more of him into her mouth, making him slick. She sucked harder and she moved her hand back and forth. His movements got faster, but she wanted to make it last for all the short amount of time they had. She withdrew his cock from her mouth.
“Not yet.”
“You’re killing me, Gemma.”
She moved her mouth away and licked up the length of his cock and did tiny nibbles enough no make him groan but not hurt him. She stopped with her mouth open before the head of his cock and licked it with the point of her tongue. It was moist from her saliva. She could taste him already and it spurred her on.
He was so hard and engorged she couldn’t help but think what it would be like to have his dick inside her. Her core clenched at the thought. No man had ever turned her on like this, and they hadn’t even had sex yet. Then she placed her lips around his cock again and sucked harder than before.
She loved having the power over him to make it last as long as she could, however they were on a time limit. She squeezed his balls and rubbed her knuckles on his perineum. His hips bucked and she knew she had him in the palm of her hand, literally. Her other hand moved firmly back and forth on his shaft as she took him into her mouth. He grunted and ran his hands through her hair as he bucked and emptied his seed into her mouth. She placed a hand on his butt to encourage him to push further. She would never get enough of him and loved as he stretched her mouth as he would stretch her pussy.
Mitch gradually slowed in his thrusts as she swallowed. She continued to gently suck on his cock as he shuddered. As his breathing eased, she sat back and peered up at him. He looked drunk and she was happy to be his favorite drink. Gemma grabbed his boxers, pulled them up, and stood on tiptoe to kiss him.
Mitch held her face close as he leaned down.
“I’ve never had anyone thank me like that before. Ask for my assistance anytime you want.” He pulled her close and his lips were on hers possessively, pushing his tongue into her mouth to get closer. She knew she would taste of him and the fact seemed to turn him on even more as he held her body against him.
Whenever he kissed her, sparks went through her and she felt more alive. No one had ever made her feel like this before, and she had no intention of giving it up. If she didn’t need to be back on set, she would have been screaming and had the trailer rocking.
There was a knock on the door and someone tried to move the handle.
“You okay in there, Gemma? I thought I’d come and check you makeup before you go back on set.”
“Just give me a minute, Bec,” she called out. She faced Mitch. “Hide in the bathroom and when I’m gone, you can sneak back off set. I’ll call you tonight when I finish. If it all goes well today, we may finish filming and I’ll have tomorrow off.”
“Are you saying you can’t wait until next week?”
“I’m saying I’m having a hard job waiting until tonight. Now go hide.”
Mitch fixed his clothing and headed for the toilet as Gemma straightened her hair, opened the blinds, and answered the door. Bec walked in the trailer and looked around.
“Were you talking to someone? I thought I heard voices.”
“I was just practicing my lines.”
“Well, let’s get your hair sorted and your makeup touched up.”
The afternoon went well and Gemma checked her phone to see if there was a text from Mitch saying he got back out without being detected. She still couldn’t believe what she had done. Normally, she wouldn’t take the lead, but there was something about him that drove her to be wild. She believed if he asked her to do anything, she probably would.
She would get home, tidy up and have a shower, and call him over. She didn’t even want to waste time with him cooking and would get him to bring some takeaway. Gemma pulled in the driveway and pressed the button for the garage door. As it closed behind her, her cell phone went off. She smiled, wondering if it would be Mitch. Maybe he was too impatient and wanted to be with her again as well.
Gemma grabbed the phone. It was her brother, Alex, but the
phone stopped before she could answer it. It went to the message bank. Gemma dialed.
“Gemma. Call me when you get this message. Mom is in hospital.”
Coldness wafted over Gemma as her stomach turned. She didn’t get along with her mother, but she didn’t want anything to happen to her. She walked into the house and called Alex. Part of her dreaded finding out what was wrong, but another part had to know. He answered immediately.
“Alex, what’s wrong?”
“Mom’s in hospital. The doctors think it’s a heart attack, but they’re still running tests.”
“What happened?”
“She was at one of her big fundraisers and had been feeling sick but said it was just a cold, and then she collapsed.”
“How’s Dad coping?”
“He’s with her now. He said you were coming on the weekend.”
“It’s okay. I’ll change my flight and come tonight. I’ll let you know when I get there.”
Gemma grabbed her suitcase and packed, and then phoned Julia to let her know what was happening. She would get back Monday for filming again unless something worse happened, but she wouldn’t accept that. Mom would be fine. Julia said she would call and let people on the show know what was happening.
Gemma phoned the airport and changed her flight. There was just one other call she needed to make. Mitch answered straight away.
“Hi there, sexy lady.”
“Mitch. I’ll be on my way to the airport soon. My mom is sick and I have to go to New York. My brother phoned and he thinks she had a heart attack.”
“You okay?”
She could hear the concern in his voice. The truth was she was a mess. She wished he could go with her and be her tower of strength. The shock of her having a guy who was Latino paparazzo would probably push her mother over the edge. She couldn’t do that.
“She drives me up the wall, Mitch, but now I’m scared I might lose her.”
“There’s no point worrying about it until you know. Go and be there for your family. Call me anytime.”
“Thanks. My taxi is here. I’ll call you when I get to New York.”
As the taxi drove her to the airport, Gemma wondered if this was the universe telling her she shouldn’t be with Mitch. Plus, how was she ever going to approach her mother about what Brandon said? She wouldn’t be the cause of any more stress on her mother. If she had another attack and died, she would never forgive herself.
Chapter Eleven
Mitch wanted to believe he had a future with Gemma, but fate was conspiring for things to be otherwise. The afternoon in her trailer had blown his mind, as well as his dick. He had never been a good boy by anyone’s standards, and sex with one-night stands was all he would ever go for. His sister always came first in his life. Looking after her and making sure she succeeded was a promise he’d made to their Nan, and he would uphold it. If any woman, including Gemma, got between them, he would choose Lili, even if the thought made him feel sick to the stomach. When did he get so soft?
He thought back to the afternoon again. He wasn’t a romantic person and many women had gone down on him before, but this was different. When Gemma touched him, there was an added excitement as if she was giving him small electric shocks that he got off on. He didn’t want to get in the way of her family, but he wanted to see her again. He wasn’t thinking of love, but lust featured in there a lot.
He would work to get his mind off her now she was in New York. Would she mention him to her family? It irked him that the answer was probably no. He still considered she was ashamed of him. It was fair enough as he was on his way to catch somebody now. His occupation classified him as a dirt bag.
The lead he had was on an actress who was going off the rails a bit. Her partner had left her and he was out there fucking anything that moved, both male and female. The show she was in had been canceled and everyone wanted a piece of her. She had given some of the paparazzi hell in the past and had taken a couple to court. Luckily, he wasn’t among those. The magazines loved pictures of a star unraveling though.
Corina Sharpe wouldn’t be making more movies any time soon if what he heard was true. When he’d hung around her house before, trying to get shots, he had gotten friendly with her neighbor. Well, more than friendly. Jessica lived next door and enjoyed sex, and Mitch had been more than happy to oblige. When he got the call today, he was planning on how he would put Jessica off without hurting her feelings. At the moment, he just wanted sex with Gemma.
Jessica had been having coffee with Corina and said she was worried about the young actress’s mental state. Corina seemed high and drunk. She had heard things smashing and thought Corina might have hurt herself. He asked why she hadn’t called the police and Jessica said there were two reasons. One, she had been partaking in the white powder herself, and two, her divorce settlement was coming through and she didn’t want to mess it up.
It was a sunny afternoon when Mitch pulled up outside of Jessica’s. He knocked on the door and she pulled him inside.
“Thank goodness you’re here. She’s got worse since I left her. Follow me.”
Mitch went to the balcony at the back of the house. He could see Corina was dancing beside the pool stark naked. She kept bumping into things and he reckoned if she fell in the pool she’d be a goner. Damn it. A part of him wanted to take the photos so much and yet it was like his sister was sitting on his shoulder.
Don’t you dare do that. This woman is in pain and needs help.
“I tried to find out who her manager is so I could phone them and Corina started throwing things at me.”
“Let’s go over. Between the two of us we should be able to control her.”
Jessica had a key and let them in, and Mitch followed her to the back of the house. The place stank of booze and vomit. There was broken glass and pottery scattered around the room. Jessica had brought a dressing gown over with her and the two of them would try to get Corina covered up. Mitch needed to get Corina inside before any other paparazzi showed up. The noise she had been making would have attracted the neighbors, and he was surprised the police were not here already.
When he and Jessica walked out onto the deck by the pool, they found Corina sitting on the floor and crying. For now, her rage seemed to have disappeared. The two of them kneeled down before her. Jessica touched Corina’s arm.
“It’s okay, darling. Let’s get you covered up and inside before you get burned.”
The sadness in Corina’s eyes and the emotional pain she was in touched him. Mitch helped Corina up and placed the dressing gown around her shoulders. Corina had a bruise on her face and he didn’t know if she had fallen or if it was due to someone hitting her. He heard rumors about her ex being violent, so he wouldn’t have been surprised.
“Come on, we need to get you inside.”
Corina sat on the couch as Jessica hugged her. This was not the Corina he had seen in the past. She was skinny and pale now with dark shadows beneath her eyes. Her hair didn’t look like it had been washed or brushed for days. He crouched down and looked her in the face.
“Corina, you need help. We can call an ambulance, or you can tell us your manager’s name and we can call them.”
“Don’t call an ambulance. I’ll be finished. All I ever wanted to do was act. Why do I keep fucking everything up?”
Mitch smiled and shook his head. “Trust me, cocaine and booze is not enough to get you thrown out of Hollywood. You’ll be fine. If your fans think they can help you, they will love you even more,” Mitch said.
“My manager is Ben Merton. His number is in my phone. I think I’m going to be sick.”
Mitch grabbed the wastepaper bin and placed it in front of Corina as she chucked up. Once she stopped retching, he took the bin away.
“You done now?” he asked.
She nodded.
“I’ll make the call if you go with Jessica and get cleaned up.”
The two women wandered off to the bedroom. Mitch told Jessica to help
Corina get a bag together because he believed her manager would recommend rehab.
Ben said he would be there soon and Mitch started to clean the place up before somebody tripped over and cut themselves. Any booze he could fine he chucked down the sink, and the vomit and cocaine ended up flushed down the toilet. He laughed when he thought how much money he could have made from it. He saw too much drug use on the streets and would never go down that track.
Half an hour later, Corina came out dressed in loose clothing and still looking pale and sick. He placed a glass of water in front of her. “Drink. You need to flush some of that crap out of you.”
The doorbell rang and when he answered it. Ben was there and Mitch also noticed some of his fellow paparazzi snapping away. Shit, this wasn’t good. The guys would want to know what he had to do with it. Ben sat down in front of Corina.
“Thanks both of you for keeping this a bit quiet. I’ve phoned the clinic you went to before and we’ll drive there now.” He reached out and touched the bruise on Corina’s face. “Did he do this?”
Corina nodded. “It just brought back everything and I couldn’t stop the thoughts. Like I was a kid again. I thought the booze and cocaine would make the memories go away. It just made it worse.”
“Let’s get you to the clinic and we can work that out there. This is bad, but I’m glad he’s gone. He tries to contact you again, and you put him onto me.”
Corina left with Ben, and Mitch helped Jessica lock up the house. The paparazzi were gone and he assumed they would have followed Corina to the clinic. A picture of either himself or Jessica wouldn’t make them much money, even if they might be used against Mitch to get information. He went to walk to his car when Jessica touched his arm.
“I don’t suppose you would like to come over?”
Mitch could understand Jessica not wanting to be alone, but he wasn’t going to say yes. “Thanks for the offer, but I guess both of us need a break after what just happened. Maybe some other time,” Mitch lied. He knew he wouldn’t be coming back. Jessica was a nice lady, but he could only think about Gemma and didn’t want to get naked with another person. If he was with a woman, she got his complete attention, and now his mind would be somewhere else.
