The Siberian's Queen Page 11

“I'm surprised it isn't a cosmo,” Sarah said.

“Well, I tried, but apparently, that's not on the drink menu here.” Elizabeth said. She picked up the mug of dark beer and took a big gulp. Sarah could see that her hands were shaking and realized that this was the first time that she had ever seen the infallible Elizabeth unnerved. And so they drank and kept to themselves and began to feel invisible

"Where are all the bikers?" Sarah mused.

"This night may be a bust," Elizabeth said, sounding pissed.

The people who frequented Tip Top were townies, and didn't have anything to do with the college, but that was something that both Sarah and Elizabeth found refreshing. Although they had probably been stereotyped as rich college girls who were slumming the minute they walked in the door, which wasn't really far from the truth. After a few drinks the night started to blur a little bit and Sarah made a mental note to slow down.

When the two Brass Bonds walked in a hush fell over the room and everyone looked down into their drinks as if they were trying to read something in very small type at the bottom.

The Brass Bonds men did look fairly rough, at a quick glance all one could see were muscles, tattooed muscles, leather, and beards. But a second closer look revealed that they were also ruggedly handsome.

Sarah turned and tried to check out the duo nonchalantly. She felt a surge of adrenaline when the taller of the two came into view. It was him, the guy from the front of the house. She snapped her head around, and kicked Elizabeth in the leg. Elizabeth met her eyes and they knew each other well enough to understand that Sarah's guy had just walked into the bar.

The girls kept sneaking looks over at the bikers, and although they thought that they were being low -key, it was quite obvious to the bikers that they had a couple of admirers in the corner.

"Want to have some fun?" Wesley, the dark-haired biker said as he nudged Sarah's dude. He smiled and nodded in return and they made their way over to the back of the bar.

"Oh. My. God. They're coming over here", Elizabeth said into her beer mug.

Sarah took a deep breath and tried to calm her nerves.

What happened next would change her life forever.
