You do it well. Annie sent a text.
“By the way, Tammy said. “I have a date.”
My eyes widened. “With Charlie?”
Tammy smiled from ear to ear. “Yes, Charlie.”
Before Tammy filled me in on her date plans, I looked out again across the library, basking in my delight that it was such a picture-perfect scene. Now it was time for me to do what I loved best… surround myself with the books.
