Everyone murmured yes. Devon started to walk out to go back to his office when he turned around once more and said, “Oh, and get rid of that shit.“ He pointed at the screen.
Taking the manila envelope to his office, he looked inside, checked the outside, which of course had no return on it and then looked at his security cameras. There was a man in a delivery uniform that handed it over. He didn’t seem suspicious or seem to be hiding from the cameras. He would still send a copy to his brother and see if anything came up on his end.
Chase woke up a few hours later, groggy and confused at first. Sitting up on the floor, it all started to come back to him. The fucking hell True endured as a child. It was awful. All those times Chase had been petulant with him over nothing, nonsense things, he started hating himself for it. Fuck, True was in the hospital now because he protected Chase. Not one person ever protected True though. It broke his heart in ways he didn’t even thought possible. Pulling out his phone, he saw it was the middle of the night. He had a text from True saying he was being released in the morning. Shanna said she could bring him home.
Chase was going to make sure he was happy the rest of his life. God knew he fucking deserved it.
Chapter 12
Getting dressed after a burn is not a pleasant experience. True seriously thought about cutting out the back of his shirt. It didn’t matter though, he was wearing his cut regardless.
The nurse they had the day before was the one discharging him. She could barely look him in the eye. She went over the instructions, gave him some supplies, and rushed out of the room. They both laughed at her. He was glad to be going home to his own bed. He hadn’t heard anything from Chase except an “OK.” to the text he had sent him about coming home.
He had hoped to get home and recuperate a day or two before returning to work, but if Chase was in a tizzy, no recuperation. He loved him, and it was damn sure worth it to hold onto him, so it was what it was.
Pulling into the parking lot, it seemed oddly empty. “Must not be on lock down anymore.”
Shanna nodded at him. The lockdown hadn’t lasted long. Every club seemed to feel safer at their own clubhouse and since Los Brias was no longer a threat, the Presidents decided together to send everyone home.
Walking in, he sensed something, but he wasn’t sure what. Maybe because he was burned everyone was walking on pins and needles. He shrugged and headed to Devon’s office.
“Hey.” True smiled as he walked in.
“Hey yourself.” Devon smiled at his best friend.
“Where is everyone?”
“Hauser and Clarke are on a job. Should be back this afternoon. Tight Fit is being ran by almost all of the prospects so Chase can have some time off, and the rest are at Shanna’s. They are finally letting us start to rebuild.”
True nodded his head thoughtfully. “I will be ready to get back in rotation by the end of the week.”
Devon looked at him like he had three heads. “You just got out of the hospital. You are going to take it easy. For Christ’s sake, I don’t need Chase up my ass.”
True laughed at Devon’s choice of words. “I got burnt. I’m not dead. Seriously, I will go crazy sitting around.”
“I have a doctor who is willing to do a house call. In a few days if you want to go back to work, I will call him. If he clears you, you can work.”
True sighed. He knew he wasn’t going to win this. “Fine. But I’m the only one who knows my pain threshold. “
“I swear I am doing this for your own good.” Devon looked at him.
“Thanks dad.” True snorted.
Devon flipped him off then shooed him out of the office so he could work.
Shanna was in the common room talking to some of the other girls. They were talking about some new guy’s dick and how big it was. True laughed at them and shook his head.
He walked to his room. He didn’t expect Chase to be there but he was, laying naked on his bed. “Hey baby.”
“I missed you.” Chase said, stretching so True could see every inch of his athletic body.
“I want to face fuck you.” He blurted out. He couldn’t help it. Chase drove him absolutely crazy.
“What?” Chase laughed.
“I want to fuck my bottom hole with your face.” True said tugging his pants down and descending on Chase’s mouth.
Chase wrapped his lips around True’s dick, going up and down in slow languid motion. True grabbed him by the hair, trying to force his cock all the way down his throat. Chase took control, not letting him force. He pulled his cock out of his mouth, used his tongue to trace the veins that popped out at the ridge of his dick. Using his teeth to gently scrape, he went all the way up to the head, then enveloped his cock again with his mouth sucking whole heartedly until he felt the spray of True’s come shower his throat. He loved his salty taste and the way he could bring the big man to his knees.
“Fuck, I love you baby.” True whispered to Chase.
Chase looked at the man before him and knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with him.
Chapter 13
The next morning, the clubhouse was its normal busy place. Breakfast was served, work assignments were passed out. True left Chase sleeping so he could get some rest. He was in desperate need of good coffee, something he had dearly missed at the hospital.
Everyone welcomed him back making sure not to touch his burn. Hauser and Clarke had made it back so they were both chatty with him about what he had missed. He and Hauser had grown pretty close, they were like brothers. Leaving out most of the details, Hauser explained that he disposed of Rael and Linda. Preacher took care of the rest. True shivered a little. The Chaplain was a scary ass dude. Even to him.
“I was worried Chase would be pissed about his father.” Hauser looked uncomfortable.
True shook his head. “Hasn’t even mentioned it.”
They finished their breakfasts and told True they would catch up with him later. There was always a lot of paperwork when you did a job. Devon was very meticulous making sure no one was tracking them or setting them up.
Chase came out sometime later, had his breakfast, then lured True back to bed. For True it was a relief, he was exhausted, but didn’t want anyone to know. Chase changed his dressings, gave him a pain pill, and told him he was going to go to the gym, and do some paperwork. It was a perfect time for True to nap. True looked grateful to him because he would never admit he needed one. On his way out, Chase asked Jezzy to check on him and call him if she needed anything.
True could’ve sworn he had just closed his eyes. When he opened them again, it was three hours later. Slowly sitting up, he made his way to the bathroom. He looked at his burns for the first time. It was nasty, rigid, and across his Dragon tattoo. Shaking his head, he took a piss and walked out to the common room.
Grabbing a cold beer from the fridge, he heard noise downstairs. He walked down the steps.
He heard Hauser very angrily saying, “What in the fuck?” Then a big crash.
Rushing into the room, his mind tried to focus on everything at once. A broken speaker that was splintered all over the floor, a very furious looking biker, a very scared looking prospect, and a TV screen that had an image of – well an image of him as a child being molested.
Slow motion was the only way he could explain the chaos that ensued. He turned around to see Devon barreling into the room, who must’ve heard the commotion and came running. He looked at the screen in shock then anger.
True fell to his knees, without realizing he was doing it. Grabbing his head, all the memories started to come back. He remembered when his foster father would back him into a corner and make him do sexual favors to him and other men. He was so scared as a child. He would come into his room at night and hurt him. To this day, True still put extra locks on his doors.
It suddenly occurred to True, now everyone knew. He looked up to see the concern on Hauser’s face, looked at Devon who just looked downright pissed. He didn’t
understand. Was Devon pissed at him?
“Who showed this?” Devon asked.
Hauser looked confused. He pointed at the prospect who looked like he wanted to melt into the floor. “He said you all watched it why we were gone, and he thought we should see it.”
True flinched when Hauser said the whole club watched it. Now they all knew his shame.
Devon walked over to the prospect. “I believe I specifically said if anyone talked about or showed this again, I would personally shoot them between the eyes.” He pulled his gun out, pointed it between the man’s eyes and pulled the trigger.
Hauser shook his head. “I didn’t know. About what you said, about any of it. Fuck True, I’m sorry man. That wasn’t anyone’s business.” He turned around to talk to the other man to find out, he was gone.
Devon muttered, “Well fuck. I will try to find him. Call the cleaners please.”
True needed to get out of there. He jumped on his bike and took off. That steel between his legs, with the wind in his face, gave him freedom like never before. He didn’t know where he was going, he just knew he needed to go. The last fucking thing he needed was pity. He hadn’t even stuck around long enough to find out why they had a video of that. When did his foster father videotaped it? And why the fuck would the club have it?
He was two towns over, his back hurting like a son of a bitch, so he decided to stop for the night at a hotel. He had enough cash on him he didn’t need to use his card. Wishing like hell he had brought his pain medicine, he slumped down on the bed in a fitful sleep.
Chapter 14
“What the fuck do you mean you can’t find him?” Chase bellowed.
“Chase, calm the fuck down,” Devon tried, unsuccessfully to calm the man.
“No! I will not calm down! He is injured, without his medication, and alone. Now what are you going to do about it?” He stood before him with his hands on his hips.
“Well first off, if you were mine, I would bend you over my knee and spank that attitude the fuck out of you.” Devon answered.
Chase glared. “I am not yours. Good thing, I would probably be missing too.”
“Enough! Chase, yelling at Devon is not going to find him. Why don’t you keep trying to call him while we come up with a strategy?” Jezzy’s nerves were getting strained. She had been there when it had happened to True as a child. Scared, not being able to act like other children. Deakin had taken care of the situation, they had even tried to adopt True, but because they lived in the clubhouse it wasn’t allowed.
She hugged Chase, she knew he was just scared for his man, and sent him to his room.
“Now, what are we doing?” She looked at Devon.
“Dom is one of the best trackers I know. He and Hauser are out. They will find him. If I didn’t have faith in that then I would be out there.”
She nodded, happy with that. If Devon was confident with these two men, then so was she. She trusted her boy implicitly.
Devon rubbed his temples. He was exhausted. If Chase were anyone else, he would’ve beat the shit out of him for talking to him that way, but he gave him leeway because he kind of agreed with him – True was under his watch and he lost him. He hoped like hell True didn’t do anything stupid. He had so many hidden demons. Even some Devon didn’t know about. Devon wasn’t sure how he handled them on a good day – and this sure as hell wasn’t a good day.
Jezzy walked around the desk to hug him. “We will find him.” She whispered. She hated seeing her boys in pain. Walking out of the office, she went to her one place of solace, into the arms of Pup, her much younger lover who had proven to be her rock these past months.
Shanna had come back to the clubhouse after assessing some of the damage at her shop so the repairs could start. Hearing the short version of what happened to True, she went to see Chase to see if he needed her support.
He answered the door with a fierce look on his face. “Can I come in?” She asked.
He shrugged moving aside. She walked in, trying to size up the situation. She wasn’t really good with the whole crying, angsty female thing, not that Chase was a female, but he was the more emotional of the two. She assumed that patting his shoulder saying there, there wouldn’t really help anything.
“What can I do?” She finally asked.
“Find him.” He said, looking her in the eyes with the most vulnerable look she had ever seen.
“Let’s go.” She said with a determination.
His eyes lit up. “Really?”
She smiled and shook her head yes.
“They won’t let me do anything here. I’ve been so fuckin’ worried about him and stuck in here thinking the worst.” He sobbed the last part out.
She grabbed his shoulders. “Did you forget who we are? We are both children of presidents of MCs. We do what the fuck we want to.” She didn’t mention the fact that his old man’s MC no longer existed, nor did his dad, because it defeated her point.
Chase grinned. “Let’s do it.”
They walked out of the clubhouse, got into Shanna’s car, and went to find the one man that truly deserved salvation hopefully before it was too late.
Jezzy walked into Devon’s office. “It worked. Shanna and Chase are looking for him too. I gave Shanna the tidbit about his phones GPS.”
“Thank the fuck.” Devon sighed. He needed his best friend back, whole in one piece.
Chapter 15
True was caught in a dream sequence throwing him back when he was six years old. He couldn’t move, he was paralyzed with fear. He was having a night terror, he hadn’t had one of those in a long time.
The man was leering at him, pulling him over to him and placing True’s hand on his crotch and rubbing vigorously. The fear on his face seemed to fuel the man on.
“Good boy. Just like that. Daddy likes that.”
Then the man took his clothes off and made True strip down. They were in the bathroom now, with the shower running.
“Kiss Daddy on his privates. Good boy. Just like that.” The man crooned as he shoved True’s face in between his legs.
They stepped into the shower, True was crying but the man didn’t care. He handed True a washcloth and a bar of soap to clean up. He cleaned himself up.
“You are a good boy for Daddy. I’m going to give my good boy something special now.” He bent him over at the waist, making True hold the side of the tub. He was crying openly, his fear evidently on his face. The man drizzled something cold on his butt crack. Then he felt a shocking burning pain that dropped him to his knees, which made him cry even harder. It was unbearable and he felt ashamed. After, the man left him in the bathroom all alone.
The man locked him in there after he was done. He had been locked in there several different times so he wouldn’t tell anyone. Why would he tell anyone? That would be humiliating for him. He didn’t want anyone to know what that man did to him, or what he did to the man. Especially Devon. Devon was his best friend. He would be devastated if Devon stopped being his friend because of this. The tears streamed down his face. He huddled, sitting in the dark corner, there were no lights allowed when he was alone, waiting for the man to let him out –
In a jolt, True sat upright from his dream, his night terror. He hadn’t had dreams like this for years upon years. He was drenched in sweat and shaking. It didn’t matter how big, strong, tough, and deadly he was now – he would always be that scared little boy underneath. Occasionally, he would have panic attacks. No one except Chase knew this. Not even Devon. Chase never judged him, he always took care of him. He needed Chase right now, before he went completely fucking crazy.
Picking his phone up, he dialed Chase’s number. “I need you.” Was all he said.
“I know babe. We are ten minutes away. I’m coming.” Chase said. They were so in tune. True didn’t ask who the ‘we’ was that Chase was talking about. He didn’t care as long as he was there.
In less than ten minutes, he heard the knock on his door. It scared the shit out o
f him, but when he realized it might be Chase on the other side, he felt relief. He didn’t want to face anyone, but he needed to be in Chase’s arms. True felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. He had killed, tortured and punished a lot of people in his life because of his way of living, but none of it compared to what he was feeling. He didn’t think he had done anything harder than this; opening the door and looking into the eyes of his lovers. Yes, lovers. Chase and Shanna were both staring at him with love in their eyes. He knew that with everything that was going on, she wouldn’t be too far behind. And he was right. Shanna had brought him. He was relieved when he saw those two.
While he collapsed in Chase’s arms, Shanna called Devon to tell him that they had found True and would try to convince him to come back. Chase was holding him tight and whispering to him, trying to use his words to calm his True.
“We should probably clean his burn.” Shanna said softly, but at the same time, she was trying to be realistic. Chase frowned at her for a moment, loving all this affection, but realized she was probably right.
True was a sweaty mess. He needed to be cleaned and he needed his medication.
“Why don’t we get you into a shower?” Chase suggested.
True shot back like a frightened rabbit. He looked terrified. “N-no shower.”
Chase and Shanna looked at each other.
“OK. No shower. I will sponge you off. Is that alright?” Chase asked confused.
True nodded yes, still visibly shaken.
Shanna said she was going to find some place to grab food for all of them since it had been awhile since True had eaten.
After getting him cleaned up, a new bandage, and medication on board, Chase was tired his heart and mind full of concern. He was extremely worried about his man. True had a haunted expression on his face. He barely moved, barely talked. Those fucking videos were making him relive the worst time of his life. Chase wasn’t a killer but if he could murder that foster father, he would. He was glad that Deakin had taken care of him for True. That man deserved what he got.
