Giselle awoke the next day wrapped in a grey faux fur comforter inside her grey infused room. Her head was clouded, her body felt heavy. For a moment she wasn't sure she could even move it. So instead she settled back into the confines of her comforter and atop her silk-covered pillowcase.

Someone had made her chicken noodle soup if the smell was any indication.

She couldn't quite see it though, Everything around was a blur to the point she could only make out Sofi’s red-haired head leaning over her.

"Oh man, Sofi! Am I okay? Are the guys from the orgy okay?"

"Uh, yeah. But..." a distressed Boston accent trailed off from afar.

Something very wrong had happened. Something pulled from the darkest regions of Giselle’s nightmares happened.

"Giselle Nyfall..." the redhead spoke, her voice chilled.

Giselle’s vision started to come into focus. And she wished that it hadn’t. This was going to be worse than Belephegor.

"I thought I told you to keep your perversions to yourself!" the redhead snapped.

  Indigestion crashed through Giselle’s stomach.

  "Uh, sorry, mom."

  Much worse than Belephegor.

  Epilogue

His thoughts on humans were that they scraped the bottom of the evolutionary pool. Lingering well below pure elves, vampires, sorcerers, and witches, they occupied that comfy zone of misery reserved for orcs, trolls, and goblins.

Unlike the dull orcs or foul goblins, there were times humans could rise above their dimwitted capacity and produce something truly marvelous. In the fields of luxury was where he never doubted humanity could dazzle.

That was his thought as he stepped out of the NYC hotel bathroom and into a room showered in sunlight by warehouse length windows. Above the windows the vaulted ceilings of the front room had a dramatic display of wicker baskets. While lashes of timber brought out the life of bronze shelving.

Yes, yes, all this was very lovely. But the object of eyes that were hidden behind a mass of black curls was the dining tray hat upon the stone coffee table.

With a smile playing across his delicate features, he lifted the lid off the tray. The smile broadened as she watched a snow white cat with blue whiskers wagging its tail.

"I prefer you in your human form, Kabuso."

The white cat sprung from the table, his paws already turning to feet and hands. A moment after touching the floor, the small cat became a small man. His whiskers gave way to blue hair.

  "Prince Tryggyr," Kabuso purred.

Tryggyr turned his attention to what lay beyond those warehouse style windows. A city of humans living, growing, thriving without any knowledge of the danger that was a crosswalk away.

"What news do you bring me?" the prince asked.

"I was able to get the brew to the white-haired girl. She did hallucinate. I felt it."

Tryggyr could see his faint reflection with his pouty lips forming another smile.

  "Well done, Kabuso. As always."

"Will you kill the girl now?"

Those big Elvrina eyes lowered shut. The only thing needing to be focused on was that question. Kill Giselle Nyfall or do not kill Giselle Nyfall.

  "We will see."
