“That is Kelsey. She is our bartender.” Brick explains to me as he waves at her. She walks down the porch towards us.
“Oh, my god Boss. You didn’t tell me your woman was fucking gorgeous. No wonder you don’t want her at the clubhouse.” She laughs as she sticks her hand out, I shake it. “I’m the local drink slinger around here. Kelsey.”
“I’m the local tattoo drawer, Korey.” Her face makes an O.
“No shit, your Blaze’s sister. Holy shit. Does Blaze know. Like holy balls. Boss please tell me you told Blaze.” She starts laughing when I look at Brick, I don’t know why it matters if my brother knows or not.
“Yes, I told him, but he already knew.” That shocks me that Blaze knew. I never told him that I am messing around with the president of his club.
“Oh, I almost forgot I sent the bitches to the store to get some groceries for you. They should be back soon. They weren’t happy either. And before you ask, I didn’t tell them that you were bringing someone. They are pissed because I was here.” She points at the cabin. I look up at Brick again. He face takes on an edge that I have seen before, it makes my panties wet.
“They can get over it.” He announces. “Thank you, Kelsey for doing this for me. I mean it.” She laughs as she walks past us. “Not a problem. Hey Korey, anytime you want to get together let me know. I am sure the boss will let me off.” Brick gives her a look that say like hell I will. I laugh.
“Well if he won’t, I am sure I can convince him to.” He looks at me with the same look. I laugh harder.
“See you around Korey.” Kelsey yells as she starts back to the clubhouse.
“I like her.” I state to Brick. He pulls me to his side as we make our way to the cabin. He opens the door and stops. I look up at him, he looks like he just saw a ghost. “When was the last time you were here?” I ask him. I get that he wants to keep us safe, but at what cost to himself.
“Ten years.” He doesn’t even look at me when he states it in a monotone voice. My heart breaks even more for him. He was under the impression that his family died in an accident, and he just found out this morning that they were murdered by a rival club. I can’t imagine this is easy for him. I don’t want to push him.
“We can stay at the clubhouse.” I say softer that I wanted to.
“No, like I said I don’t want Sadie and Sean exposed to that.” He says with an edge to his voice. I am crying on the inside for him. I hug him a little tighter to me. He looks down at me and gives me a ghost of a smile. And he walks in like he didn’t just stall at the doorway.
Sadie and Sean follow us inside. “Mama, lok, big motor, and another one over thure.” Sean is pointing out all of the motorcycles that he sees. And there is a lot of them. Pictures of different body styles of Harley’s, the couch and love seat in the living area are a dark brown, the walls are logs, the tv is sitting on a stand that has a DVD player. The lamps by the couches are miniature Harley’s. There are pictures of Brick as a child hanging on the walls. He must have always been a stunner, even in his school pictures he was handsome. The kitchen is small but cozy, with black appliances. Anthony leads me to a room and enters it first. He hasn’t said a word since we have been in here. I just know this is his parent’s room, he is just standing there motionless. I step inside and softly close the door behind me. Brick takes a deep shaky breath and sinks to his knees. I go to him and hold his back and rock him gently like he did me in the apartment. There are no words that I can say that will make the pain any less. The only thing that I can think of to say. “I’m here.” I can feel his pain, I don’t think he ever got the chance to morn his parent’s death. He had said once that when they passed, he became the president of the club.
I feel the wetness hit my hands that are holding on to him, like we are riding his bike. Feeling his tears, my heart breaks wide open and I can’t keep the tears inside for him any longer. Hanging on to grief for so long is not good, not for anyone. It is like a damn holding the ocean back, it can’t, it will break at some point. I hate that Brick’s damn is breaking right now.
We sit like this for what seems like hours. I look at the nightstand by the bed and I can see the resemblance to an older version of Brick. His dad was a good looking individual and his mother was a beauty. To think that someone would kill them, and take them away from Brick for what? To try and gain territory, to be able to sell drugs to children. It makes me mad no more than mad. I want them gone, not just for Brick, but for the safety of the children in this town and the parents that could lose their children to addiction or worse.
I stand and sit in front of Brick. I take his face in my hands. He isn’t crying anymore, but he looks lost, broken. I take in a sharp intake of breath. I close my eyes, and with a voice I hoped sounds stronger than I feel at the moment tell him. “Brick, look at me.” His eyes focus on me. “I want them gone. I want you to take out the Grimm’s. Their whole club needs to end.” His eyes go wide. I know what I am telling him to do. I am asking him to kill off the whole Grimm’s MC. But I don’t care, they hurt him, and I can’t stand to see him hurting like this. I know that killing the people responsible will help him grieve. I don’t know why I think this, but I know it deep within me that this will take some of the pain away.
He opens his mouth and closes it. Then he tries again. “Do you know what you are telling me?” he asks. I shake my head.
“I know what I am asking you to do. But they hurt you and that is not okay to me. they took out those beautiful people, and for what?” I can hear my voice go a few octanes higher the more I speak. I take a breath before I continue. “I think you need this, Anthony. You need vengeance. Sometimes the law doesn’t do justice right, and then its your turn to make sure it happens. They have had ten years, ten fucking years. It ends now.” I try to say in a hard voice. His hands come to my face a he searches for something. I don’t know what, I am pissed at the Grimm’s whole MC, I want them dead, hell if I could I would do it. I would gladly end each and everyone of them for him slowly.
“Baby, are you mad?” he finally asks, I can feel my breath coming in short burst.
“No, I am beyond angry.” I tell him.
“Why?”
“Why, why. Because Anthony. No one should be able to murder someone and walk away. There must be balance, somewhere, somehow. If the law can’t do it, then someone needs to. I don’t know everything you do. But you are a good person Anthony, and I wouldn’t want you to change. If you need to end them all, then fucking do it. Take them out, but I can’t see you hurt like this.” I finish in a whisper. I try to take in a breath to get my emotions under control. He smiles. He is fucking smiling at my answer.
“Why are you smiling?” I ask him. I just told him to go and kill to take vengeance. Shouldn’t he be mad that I want him to do that. That I am a bad person for even thinking that killing someone is bad.
“Because, you are perfect.” If my eyes could bug out, they just did.
“No, I’m not. No one is perfect, we all have issues.” I counter at him.
“For me, yes you are.”
He leaned me back until my back was on the floor. I didn’t have a comeback to Brick’s statement, I laid there looking up into his very handsome face, and I couldn’t help but smile at him as I cupped his face. He was beginning to mean more to me every time I saw him, so much more. I realized that Amy was right, I am falling for Anthony Brick Brigade. No not falling, I already fell in love with this man. How else could I give him permission to bring hell to a whole club, and not feel fucking guilty about it.
“Your so beautiful, and full of life. You are just what I need.” His lips crash down on mine. It wasn’t a gentle kiss. Our teeth hit as we tried to get closer to each other. My hands left his face and I wound my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me.
His hands roam over my body as I found purchase in his mouth. The sensual way our tongues fought with one another make me moan. He swallowed my moan and pleas that I was giving to him. We broke
away just long enough to get a breath of air before our lips found each other again.
I want more right now, but the kids are in the next room. We need to stop, but I know he needs this. He needs me to take the pain the away. I don’t know why, or how I know, and I am not about to question it. “Brick, I need you. God do I need you in me right now.”
“It’s going to have to be quick, baby. Are you ready for me?”
“Always, only for you.”
I feel the button of my shorts being undone and shoved down my legs. I raise my ass off of the floor to help him. I feel his finger delve into my heat. I moan and bite my lip to stop myself from making too much noise.
“Fuck, your soaking wet, Does the thought of me taking out the Grimm’s make you ready for me. Knowing that your man can take care of business?” His eyes darken with lust as he unbuttons his jeans and pulls them down enough to free his beautiful cock.
“God, yes.” I moan out as I watch him take his cock in his hand and give two good strokes, I lick my lips as I watch him line himself up with my core. There is no foreplay, and none is needed. He thrust his cock into me hard and fast. My back comes off the floor with pleasure. He is buried to the hilt as he starts to move. Biting my lip hard I wince from the pain it causes. “Give me your moans baby.” Brick says as he takes my mouth again, and I do give it all to him. He adjusts the angle of his hips and lift my leg to rest on his hip. And he pounds against me as I moan into his mouth. I can feel the orgasm building. “Come with me baby.” He reaches his hand in between us and rubs my clit roughly. That was all it took as my body convulsed around him. He gives me his moan of release. As his thrust on last time and stills. When he pulls back, what I see in his eyes gives me pause. There is a look that I haven’t seen a long time, tenderness. I try not to over think it. I can’t not right now, I know I love him.
We right our clothes as there is a soft knock at the door. “Mama, we are hungry.” Sadie says through the door. I look at Brick and smile. “Okay, baby we will be there in a minute.” I walk towards the door and he pulls me to his chest. “You have no idea how much you helped me. God woman, you are…”
“It was a no brainer.” I smile at him, not quite sure what he is thanking me for. He nods his head as we exit the room to find my kids something to eat. I open the fridge, and nothing is in there. “Uh, An- Uh Brick there isn’t anything in here.” I announce to him. He pulls his phone out and mutters a curse.
“Sorry babe, the ah,” he looks over at Sadie and Sean before he continues. “The ah, girls brought the food to the clubhouse and left it. Kelsey says well, here.” He thrust his phone at me. I look at the screen and laugh at what I read.
Boss, the bitches still haven’t got back. I think they jumped shit when Blaze said Korey was your Ol’ Lady. Tell Korey I will find something for the kids, and not to worry about their bitchy asses. I got it.
I liked Kelsey she was my people and spoke my language of snarky and sarcastic. I was about to hand phone back, “Add her number to your contacts. Your going to need a friend.” I smile up at him as I take my phone out and plug her number in. Holding my phone to my chest I bite my lip before I tell him. “Thank you. really thank you.” He tilts his head to the side and gives me a panty melting smile.
He takes his phone back and makes a quick call. “Tell the club girls to get out of the clubhouse. Sadie and Sean are coming up for a minute.” The call ends just that quick. I am amazed at how he can turn off the commanding President and turn on the charm for us.
“Sadie, Sean go check out your room for a minute.” They go in their room at his request.
“Okay, I need to know, how am I supposed to act at the clubhouse?” I ask him with my hands on my hips.
He laughs. “Alright tell me. how do you think you are supposed to act?”
“Well, the research I did, said I am to be seen not heard.” He laughs again.
“In a way, yes. But at the same time yes you can talk. Don’t be bitchy, towards the guys. Just be you.”
“Well, if you haven’t noticed I am kind of bitchy, sometimes.” That gets me another bark of laughter from him. I roll my eyes at him.
“I’m serious, just act the way you did at the club party.” I nod. Okay I can do that. “Just a warning they are in a mood. This shit with the Grimm’s.”
“I get it. I would be to. I mean I guess you can say I’m in this too.”
“Yes, you are. Babe, I didn’t want this to happen. Did I mention the charity fund raiser we are doing Saturday?”
“No.”
“We are doing a back to school charity for the under privileged families in the area. I want you and the kids to be there. We sell barbecue every year.”
“Wow, that is awesome. Y’all give back. I wouldn’t miss it.”
His phone chimes that a text was received. “C’mon all clear.”
Chapter 20
Korey
Kelsey is a blast. “Girl let me tell you. Ginger is, well there isn’t a nice word for the whine bag.” She tells me. “You should have heard her when Jag told them to clear out. She whined like the world was ending. I mean come on it is only for three hours.” I laugh at her snarky jokes. I thought I was bad, yep not as bad as she is. I already love being around her. She makes me another cranberry and rum.
“Just wait until we go on lockdown. When the Ol’ Ladies and the whores are here. It is pretty entertaining.”
“Really, how so?”
“Girl, the whores think that since they may have had their Ol’ men before them it gives them the right to them all the time.”
“Are you fucking kidding me?”
“Nope, not in the slightest. Them bitches sometimes need to be taken down a peg or ten.”
“Shit I had a run in with Ginger before Brick and I decided to give it a go.”
“No shit, you give her the broken nose?”
“Maybe, and a little more.”
“Damn girl where you been my whole fucking life? We need to hang out more.” I laugh at her.
“Yes, we do. Most definitely.”
“Now here is a tricky question. I ask all the Ol’ Ladies this one. So, don’t feel bad. If I was a club whore, would you still like me?”
I squint my eyes at her thinking. I don’t think it would matter much to me. She has an awesome personality. “I am pretty sure I would. I don’t have anything against them. If they just leave Brick alone, I don’t care what they do. I can’t be mad just because they are free with their bodies.”
“Wow, that shit was deep girlfriend. Uh oh incoming.” Kelsey wiped down the counter another time. A huge man walked up to the bar. When I looked up at him, he had a long-jagged scar on his face.
“You Blazes?” his voice was deep and scary. I mean hell the man looked like he hated everything that had color. But god damn he worked it.
“Sister. I am his sister.” I smiled at him. He gave off a snort of a laugh.
“Glad you think its funny. Sometimes I think its funny too. He has always been a shit of a little brother.” He barked out a laugh.
“I could see him being that. He can be an ass.”
“Can be, please, he is one.”
“Who is an ass?” I heard my baby brother ask like he was innocent. I turned to him and stuck my tongue out at him.
“I’m offended sister dearest. Jag, let me tell you. I am an ass because of her. The shit she put me through.” He was smiling like he won the fucking lottery.
“Oh, you know you loved the makeup sessions I put you through.” I turned back to Jag and lowered my voice. “I have pictures.”
“No, you don’t. You better not. Korey, I swear to God, if you even think of it. I will tell Brick all about your senior prom night.”
I scoff at him. Jag looks from me to Blaze. I tap my chin for a second to think if the risk is worth the reward. The reward being getting my brother even from the last time he visited. “Do you worst, it wasn’t that bad.”
“What prom you thinki
ng of. Your junior prom wasn’t that bad. But your senior prom that was bad. I got the ninth degree my senior year.”
“Well at least no one has pictures of my little moment.”
Blaze looks at me for a second and gives me mischievous smile. “Wanna bet?”
“It wasn’t that bad anyways.” I shrug my shoulders. I know he is bluffing. He better be, of course the cop car might have video proof, maybe, probably. Shit, I look at his face again and try again.
“I have the pictures right here. I tap the phone in front of me. He eyes the phone and I make a grab for the phone as he does.
We fight over the phone for a second before I hear laughter behind us. Lots of laughter. “You two are horrible. Blaze let go of your sister’s phone.” I hear Kelsey yell from behind the bar. He relents the phone while he pouts at me. I stick my tongue out at him again, he may be almost a foot taller than me. But I am still his big sister. Big sister’s always win.
“Don’t make me do it, Korey. I will.” He pulls his phone out and pulls up something. I eye him suspiciously.
“Diesel, come here for a minute.” I am still eyeing him as another huge man comes over.
“What’s up brother.”
“Tell me something, how fast can you put a video on the monitor from my phone.”
“Maybe in about five minutes.”
I turn toward the new face. He is surprisingly cute. He looks to be about six-one with a boyish face. “You do it, and I swear…” I point at him, his eyes go wide before I can finish. “I will make your life a living hell.” I tell him.
“Brother I am out. I don’t want no part of that.”
“Damn you got Diesel to bow out.” I hear Jag tell me.
I smiled up at him as I felt arms circle around me and felt a kiss to my temple. I smiled back at him. “You having fun babe?”
