“You got it Wire.”
“Now what the fuck do you want? Why after all this time do you decide that now is a good time to show the fuck up?”
“I don’t want anything, I needed to be back with my family.”
He stood up fast, knocking the chair he was sitting in back. “Your family! You left us, you put us in a fucked up situation and you left us there to rot! You think you can just walk back in here and claim your spot as president?”
“No, you are president, your word is law.”
“You left your family high and dry when we needed you, you don’t get the option to just come back.”
I bit my tongue, I wasn’t used to being reprimanded. “Wire, I’m not here to fight you. You’re right about all this shit. I am just here to help if possible. If you want me to fuck off. I’ll be gone.”
“Help with what? We needed your help six months ago.” He sat down heavily in his chair.
“I know Vilanuevas is still causing havoc. I see that you are getting the numbers but I know that he is getting bolder and bolder. I can help with the prep.”
“Prep, you mean you don’t want to run into gun fire and get everyone killed again? I’m surprised, that was your M.O. before.” He smirked a bit and it was enough to break my compliance. I tossed a chair out my way and walked right up to his face.
“I don’t give a fuck about how you feel about me now. I know I fucked up, I know what I did, I don’t need to be reminded of it every ten damn seconds. You want to be a fucking prick to someone pick someone else. You forget it was me behind every one of you bastards when anyone of you fucked up. You either accept what happened and move the fuck on or you don’t and move the fuck on. Those are your only two goddamn options.”
Wire was already up and right back in my face. “You honestly think that I should just forgive and forget everything you did and what you put us through? You think that shit is even fucking possible?”
“No!” I yelled, then I took a deep breath in and backed up a pace. I didn’t come here to fight him. “No, I know it’s not possible. I know in the back of everyone’s head you are all going to be thinking that I am one push from falling off the deep end. I accept all that shit, all I am asking for is the chance to prove to you and the rest of the brothers that I still got your back like I always have. I lost my way. I didn’t listen. I’m still trying to find my fucking way back but I am a Wing down to my soul. I have to try my hardest to help, no matter what capacity.”
He stared at me for a few seconds. “I can’t give up the patch, and I won’t strip Clean.”
“I don’t need a patch, hell I don’t even deserve a kutte after what I did. When you ready, and on your word alone, I am by your side.”
I folded my arms over my chest and looked back to where Wire was sitting, “You look good in that seat, like it was made for you.”
“It wasn’t, I hate this shit, I know why you went fucking crazy. Sometimes it feels like no matter what I decide to do, some shit is going to come and bite us in the ass.”
“It feels like that forever, get used to it.” I turned to walk away. I wasn’t a patched member and I sure as fuck shouldn’t be in church.
“Who’s the broad?”
My eye twitched slightly, I didn’t like him talking about Mikki like that. I have no idea when I became so protective of her but that is exactly what I was.
“She ain’t a broad. Her name is Mikki, the other one is Vida her little sister, and the littlest one is Angel, her ward.”
“Ward, how the hell did she get a ward?”
Before I could answer, Wire’s jack started to go off.
“Speak.” his typical response. I could tell just from the way his face fell that it wasn’t a social call. Some shit was going down.
“Fucking hell!” Wire stood up and brought his hand down on the table. I wanted to ask him what the problem was, I wanted to move, I wanted action but I would wait. If he wanted me to know he would tell me.
“Ink, Clean and Danny are pinned down by the cliffs. Some of Vilanuevas men were tailing them, we can’t lose this fucking shipment.”
“Arms or Drugs.” Part of me wanted him to say drugs, I hadn’t had a hit of Oxy in weeks and even though I had stayed clean it didn’t mean that every single fucking day I didn’t have to stop myself from walking to the corner and scoring.
“Arms. We are still doing our transport across the town lines. It’s our only income right now besides the strip club.”
Strip Club? When did we get a fucking strip club?
“Heard. What do you need?”
“I need bodies I can trust to follow orders.”
“I’m here Wire, use me.”
He grabbed my arm before I could walk out, “If you go against me on one fucking order I’ll put a bullet in your head myself. You got it?”
“Crystal clear.”
I walked out and rushed up to where Mikki and the girls were. Keeley and the other wives were able to work out two rooms for us so Vida and Angel could have their own space and Mikki and I could have our own space as well. “Listen, I got to go, I’ll be back.”
I could see the fear starting to bloom on her face, I didn’t have time to reassure her. I grabbed her hand and placed it over my heart. “I’ll be back, it will be fine.”
She relaxed and kissed me softly on the lips before turning back to what she was doing. Not one question asked, just trust.
I ran downstairs, no weapon, no kutte, no ride nothing. Just waiting in line for my next set of directives from Wire. Mack, Vale, Storm and Wire all came out the back room.
“Fuck out of here, you want us to go into a fight with this fucking psycho?” Vale said as he saw me waiting for them. I glared straight at him. I would respect Wire, but the new recruits I’d kick straight in the fucking face.
“Did I ask for your opinion? I say he rides with us, then he fucking rides with us.” They all shut up and went out to the bikes.
Mack gave me a long glare but didn’t say a word to me, just nodded once and made his way out to the bikes.
“Get Mick’s keys, his bike is still in good shape. I take it for a ride every once in a while, it’ll do for now.” Wire pointed to the bar where Mick used to spend most of his time. I missed the old man.
I ran over and grabbed the keys.
“You carrying?”
“No.”
Wire pulled out a Smith and Wesson and handed it to me. “Make it fucking count.”
I followed them all to the bikes and for the first time in months, heard the rumble of a beast. I couldn’t help but smile. Mick’s baby wasn’t mine but I would get her out of storage soon enough. The moment was short lived as I fell into line next to Mack, Vale and Storm pulling up the rear and Wire, our leader in front.
Clean, Ink and Danny were in a fucked up position. They were literally between a rock and a hard place. They couldn’t move back or they would be off the cliff, on the side was nothing but rocks, and in front of them were six of Vilanuevas men. They were armed to the teeth and they didn’t look like they were going to give up anytime soon.
I only heard one round of pops coming from where Clean and the boys were. They were down to the last of their ammunition.
They heard our bikes as we pulled up and in almost perfect synchronization, three of Vilanuevas men turned towards us while the other three stayed focused on Ink and the guys. They were going to try to take us out and still not let Clean and the boys get away. It was like fighting the fucking military.
“Where is Archer?” I asked from my crouched position behind a boulder. Wire screamed back at me.
“Gone! They live in New Orleans.”
Great, just when we could use someone with his skill set he is in a whole different state.
“What’s the plan boss?” I asked looking towards Wire.
I could see the gears turning in his head but there was nothing, no matter what he did right then someone was going to be put in the line of fire.
/>
I wanted to take control, but I knew I couldn’t do that. Wire was leading this and I had to let him.
Separate them.
“We have to split them up, somehow. All together like that we won’t be able to get to them.” Wire said ducking further below the rock.
Diversion
“Fuck that, there is more of us then them. We should just ram them in.” Storm went to stand up.
No!
I grabbed him and pulled him down. It was just in time, as soon as his head cleared the edge of the rock a bullet ricochet off the boulder.
“Wire.” I spoke up, and he looked at me. This wasn’t what Wire was used to. Wire was already in his own world. The hum of chaos had already taken over for him. “I’ll create a diversion get them to split up, you guys do what needs to be done.”
“Fuck that, you not going to get us killed.” Vale said popping off a few shots without looking where they were going.
“Don’t follow me, when you see your opening take it. That’s all. You good with that Wire?”
Wire nodded once slowly but didn’t really respond.
I didn’t wait for any other directive. I took off running towards the opposite end of the field. Bullets were flying all around me and by some fucking miracle none of them hit me. I made it to the truck that the boys were transporting. There was ammunition there and other weapons that I was going to use. Now instead of them being split into two, they were split in three. Some shooting at me, some shooting at Wire and the men with him and the rest shooting at Clean and his guys.
I opened the crate, wood splinters stabbing into my fingernails, but not stopping me. I looked down and smiled, I had my diversion.
“Clean!” I yelled out.
“Prez?” He bellowed back in response.
“Get ready to run. Fast!”
“Copy!”
I pulled the grenade out of the crate pulled the pin and lobbed it right where the six of Vilanuevas men were.
“Grenade!” I heard someone scream out and then a second later, a loud explosion had dust and rubble flying.
I looked up and exactly like I thought the six of them were scattered all over the place. Wire was already out from behind the rock and walking calmly up to one of the men still rolling around on the floor. He pulled out his weapon and shot the man point blank twice in the head. Vale and Storm ran over to where Clean and the others were and helped them out from behind the rock. Clean came out shooting, and when he ran out of bullets he charged one of the men. Using his strength to knock the man down to the ground and literally beating his face in with his bare hands. Mack, in silence, took out two of the six. I took out another two. By the time the dust settled all of the Wings were accounted for and alive and all six of Vilanuevas men were on the ground dead.
“That’s what I’m fucking talking about! Kicking ass! All the fucking time!” Clean did a dance and laughed like he didn’t have a care in the world. “Now let me get the fuck home, Maven is waiting on my dick, she isn’t a patient woman. I have to get there before she finds a club bunny to have fun with.” He clapped his hands twice and started to walk back to the truck.
“Always thinking with your cock.” Vale said and started to walk back to the bikes.
“Have you seen my woman?” Clean asked putting a little bit of a pep in his step.
I watched as Wire pulled his phone out and started to send out a text, I am sure it was to the cleaners. There were six bodies just lying in the middle of the road. The cops usually let us do what we needed to do but leaving bodies was not part of the agreement.
Before he could finish, my hand was on the knife Mikki had given me.
“Wire!” I called out and pulled out the weapon. His eyes popped up to mine but his hands were occupied and there was no way that he would get to his gun before I released the heavy knife.
“What the…” I heard everyone else behind me scrambling but the knife was already out of my hand and flying in the air.
The force of the weapon passing by Wire was enough to blow a few strands of his hair up. The knife sailed straight past him and landed with a wet thud into the chest of the man standing behind him. There were seven of Vilanuevas men. We missed one.
Wire turned around at the sound of the body dropping to the ground.
The man was still flopping on the ground and the gun that was previously pointed at the back of Wire’s head inches away from his hand.
“Well fuck me, where the fuck did he come from?” Clean said out loud.
Everyone ran back over to where the man was on the ground as I bent down to pull the knife from his chest.
“God shit.” Mack said, the first time I had heard him talk. Ever, I think.
“God shit?” I asked, that didn’t sound right.
“Good Shit.” Clean clarified. “Damn right, look at Prez saving the fucking day like old times!” Clean clapped me on the back and started walking back over to his truck. “Anyone else coming to party?” Clean called out loud toward the trees taunting anyone else who dared show their face. He let out a breath before opening the drivers side door. “Thank fuck, Ink, Danny, let’s fucking go. This place blows.” The boys hopped into the truck. Vale, Storm and Mack all walked back to their bikes and took off. Wire stood there for a minute looking at the man then back at me.
“You didn’t really think that I was going to kill you did you?” I asked as I wiped the knife off and put it back on my waist.
“Well you know, you were crazy a few months ago.”
I shrugged and walked with him back to our bikes, “True.”
Chapter 14
I walked back into the clubhouse and I could see everyone waiting for their crew to get home. We were all one big family here. Keeley and Lily waiting for Wire. Maven and the twins waiting for Clean. The rest finding a soft spot with some of the club bunnies. We managed to make the drop like we were supposed to receiving a small payment to help keep us afloat. I looked up the stairs and part of my soul dropped when I didn’t see Mikki waiting for me.
Then I had to cover my face to hide the fact that I was crying. The boys already thought that I was crazy, all they needed to see was me crying for no reason. There was a reason this time though. I wanted to see Mikki, for the first time in months, for the first time in years it wasn’t Laura’s face.
I was sad because it felt like I was leaving her, like I had given up on my wife. But the other half of me was so happy because not only did I have someone love me as fully as Laura had, but I also found someone else to pull me up and care for me in her own way. Mikki would never be Laura and I couldn’t even guarantee that I would love her the same way, but I could try to be the man that she deserved.
I raced up the stairs, my need for her suddenly all consuming. I hadn’t been with anyone since Laura, in fact, I hadn’t even had the urge. I hoped that she was on the same page as I was because I was on the brink of desperation.
I walked in to see her, sitting on the bed. It looked like she had cleaned everything and then cleaned everything again. Once she saw my face I could see the tension drain away from her.
“I knew everything would be alright.” I watched her get up and walk over to me. She swiped at my hair, cleaned me off a bit. She was nervous. I could tell.
“Where are the girls?” I asked stepping a little bit into her space.
“In the next room, you want to see them? I can go get them.” She turned to walk out the door. I pulled her back against me. Her back to my front. I swiped her hair away from her neck and I felt her shiver against me.
“Alex, I’m not Laura. You know what you’re doing right now right?” She asked her voice going up an octave. After that night I confused her with my dead wife she was hesitant to go any further than kiss me.
“You’re my Mikayla.” I whispered in her ear as I swiped my tongue down the column of her neck.
She turned in my arms and placed her hand on my chest, feeling my heartbeat. “Yours?”
I
entwined my fingers into her hair and pulled back slightly. “Mine.”
“Yes.” She hissed out and rose up on her tippy toes and attacked my mouth. I was still sore and had bruises from the beating the boys gave me a few days ago but I didn’t care. I would finally do right by this woman. She jumped up and wrapped her legs around my waist. I groaned half from need and half from pain in my ribs.
I gripped her ass, my fingers finding the deep crease between her ass and the tops of her thighs. I walked quickly to bed and dropped her down on it. I pulled the shirt she had on off and tossed it on the floor. Her body was flushed from her chest up her neck and into her face. She was just as hot for me as I was for her.
I was ready to cum right then and there. It was too long. I tried to think about anything else, but nothing was helping. Not only had it been a long time since I had sex it was also an even longer time since I saw new pussy. I was faithful to Laura for close to a decade. To say I was excited was a huge fucking understatement.
“This is going to be fast. Fuck it’s been too long.” I groaned as I pressed a palm to my painful erection. I still had my clothes on.
“No, I didn’t wait for you this long for quickie. Let me take care of that first one, so you can please me correctly.” Mikki sat up on the bed and dragged her hands up my thighs letting them fall on the sides of my cock. Even through my pants I could feel the heat of her skin. “That’s what you want? You want to please me?” She plucked at my belt, carefully but quickly.
“Yes, fuck yes.”
She popped the button on my jeans open and unzipped them. My dick was heavy and pulsing. “I know, I see you Alex. I need all of you. You going to let me have it all?” She pulled my boxers down and licked her lips as she looked up at me. Her big brown eyes captivating me.
“Shit, yes, it’s all yours.”
She snaked out her tongue and licked the pre cum off my slit. I watched as she got ready to devour me. I put my hand out, stopping her. Even in her mouth it was going to be quicker than what I wanted for her.
“I want that pussy on my face while my cock is down your throat.”
