ABOUT THE AUTHOR
PATRICIA MILLER-SCHROEDER is an active member of the Saskatchewan writing community and an active member of the Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators, and Performers (CANSCAIP). She has written seventeen children’s non-fiction books about nature, science, and the environment. Two of her books, Bottlenose Dolphins and Japanese Macaques, were nominated for the Saskatchewan Book Awards and another, Blue Whales, was nominated for the Hackmatack Children’s Choice Award. Her book Gorillas received the Canadian Children’s Book Centre Choice Award.
Patricia has also written several children’s educational films and television scripts. She has a master’s degree in biological anthropology and has developed and taught university classes in gender, the environment, and evolution. She lives in Regina, Saskatchewan.
