“You’re right, I better check,” the Captain said as he walked past Sam and Hutch and sat behind his desk and took a sip of his coffee, not getting that Sam was being a smart ass. The Captain frowned like an eight-year-old who was forced to take medicine and got up to get more sugar. Sam put her hand up, and the Captain sat back down as they both watched Sam go out and get the sugar container, come back and put it on the Captain’s desk.
“Alright, are we good to talk now?” Sam said, and she closed the door and watched the Captain nod his head in approval, while he began to pour more sugar into his coffee.
“So, what’s going on?” The Captain asked while he sipped on his coffee.
“Besides you liking your sugar with coffee and cream?” Sam said, shaking her head; then Hutch cleared his throat to get their attention.
“I think Sam has cracked the case on the C.C.K. Killer, we both realize it is just circumstantial, but I think Sam has done some excellent work.”
“Okay, let’s hear it,” the Captain said, and he sat back in his chair looking at both Sam and Hutch.
Sam told the Captain her theory about Barry being the C.C.K Killer, and that C.C.K stands for call center killer, she would imagine. She explained that this is why all the kills seemed so random, but most of the victims were customers of the bank Barry worked for and the victims that weren’t bank customers could have been random kills to throw off the Police. She also explained that Barry was a black belt in martial arts and had also been in the military in a Black Ops unit, so he could easily handle himself in hand to hand combat situations and knew how to kill. She also explained that she knew it was touchy as this case had gotten Worldwide news coverage and the Senator’s task force had jurisdiction over the case which is why she and Hutch thought it would be best to run it by him before they did anything. The Captain sat back and scratched his head once she had finished telling him her theory. The Captain sat quietly in his chair thinking and occasionally taking a sip of his coffee. Sam and Hutch knew the Captain was thinking and processing all that she had told him plus factoring in how to handle this information and every scenario that could happen if things got handled the wrong way. The Captain finally sat up in his chair, which meant he was getting ready to talk.
“Wow, I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out what C.C.K meant, that is some great work, and it does make sense, but as you stated the Senator and the task force have jurisdiction. I need to figure out how to work with them or maneuver around them for a bit; we need something solid on this guy. Otherwise, he walks, unless the Senator and his task force know more than we do,” the Captain said, sitting fully upright and putting his arm on the table, so he could rub his head while he sat forward in his chair, still thinking.
“This is why we wanted to talk to you Cap, what do you think we should do? I thought about going to the Senator, but I know that might carry more weight if it came from you,” Sam said, and she leaned back in her chair, relieved the Captain saw things the way she and Hutch had seen them.
“Keep this quiet; we don’t need any leaks or more press sniffing around here. I will see what I can do about getting a meeting set up with the Senator. We will go from there. Either they will welcome our input or push us off to the side, but either way, I will push for a meeting with the Senator,” the Captain said, and he picked his coffee cup up and took a drink, frowned a little and poured more sugar in his coffee.
“You want me to go get you a bag of diabetes?” Sam said, standing up and reached over and took the sugar container from the Captain.
Hutch just laughed while he and the Captain watched Sam take the sugar container and put it back out on the coffee bar, the Captain was still a little shocked but didn’t say a word when Sam came back in his office.
“Okay, so you’re going to let us know when or if this meeting will happen and you just want us to hang tight until then, right?”
“Yeah, let’s see what happens, so chill out until then,” the Captain said, putting down the cup of coffee he was holding.
“Okay Cap,” Hutch said, still laughing a little.
“Sounds like a plan, and lay off all that damn sugar,” Sam said, and she walked out the door with Hutch behind her laughing.
Hutch closed the Captains door but didn’t look at him, knowing the Captain would be giving him the look.
“Well, that went pretty good, which shows you we ain’t crazy and you did some damn good work Detective.”
“Thanks, Hutch, now I’m going to go knock out a pile of paperwork I’ve been avoiding.”
“I’ll be right behind you; I’ve got my own mound to conquer.”
Chapter 14
Tight Pants
While Sam and Hutch started to work on their mounds of paperwork, Dale was getting ready to work on Robert. Robert was still locked in his cell and wondering what was going to happen to him when he heard the door unlock and three very large men stood at the door, one with a very big smile on his face. Robert thought about trying to make a run for it, but he was just too scared even to try to attempt a breakout.
“Robert, you know why you’re here?” Dale asked, looking at him with disgust.
Robert tried to speak, but he was too scared and couldn’t talk, so he shook his head no.
“Well, let me tell you. You tried to bully the wrong guy; in other words, you fucked up. You know Barry, yeah, you know Barry, you see he is a friend of ours now, and we don’t like bullies unless we’re doing the bullying of course. So, here’s what’s going to happen, my friend behind me is H.I.V. positive, and that makes it hard for him to find dates, plus an extremely long criminal history and such, so I decided to hook you two up,” Dale said, as an evil smile started to show on his face.
Robert was trying to think of this as a joke, but he knew that he tried to play the tough guy role with Barry. He knew he didn’t want to fight. So he knew this was for real because there was no doubt that after his failed attempt at scaring Barry, he knew Barry didn’t like him at all. He never imagined this could happen.
“Okay, wait. We can work this out, call Barry and tell him I’m sorry,” Robert said as he started to cry.
“Oh Robert, it’s too late for that, and the only thing Barry would want to hear from you is screams, I guess you will know that being an asshole doesn’t pay off in your next life if you believe in that shit,” Dale said, stepping to the side a little.
“Wait, you’re going to kill me?” Robert said, still crying.
“Well, after my friend gets finished with you, yeah, we don’t need a sniveling little bitch like you around trying to procreate more bitches,” Dale said as he stepped fully aside and let the big guy in the back step to the front.
“No, you can’t do this, it’s illegal,” Robert said, as a huge snot bubble came out of his nose.
“Are you gonna fight me? I like it when they fight,” the big guy said, looking Robert up and down licking his lips.
“Well, you boys have fun, I’ll be back later to check on you,” Dale said as he and Mike left the room and closed the door, and the heavy locking sound assured Robert that there would be no escape.
“It’s just you and me now you sweet bitch, you can take off those tight clothes, or I can do it for you,” the big guy said, smiling and cracking his knuckles.
Robert started backing into the corner, and when his back touched the wall, he ran at the big guy screaming and threw a wild punch that landed right on the big guy’s chin. The big guy smiled as he rubbed his chin and slapped Robert to the floor.
“C’mon! Let’s play rough, even though you hit like a bitch,” the big guy said, still rubbing his jaw and smiling.
Robert tried to get up but was too dazed to make it to his feet and before he knew it the big guy was on him, tearing his shirt off and slapping him again and again as he laughed. Robert could taste the saltiness of the blood in his mouth as the big guy finished tearing off his shirt and was now working on his pants.
“No, please don’t,
” Robert said, grabbing at the big guy's hands, but the big guy just pushed his hands aside.
“Oh, are you a virgin? Don’t worry you won’t be for long; I’m going to split you wide open, no lube either you gonna get it rough, rugged and raw,” the big guy said as he flipped Robert over like a rag doll, onto his stomach.
“No, don’t please, I’m begging you,” Robert cried, while his clothes were being ripped off of him.
“Beg me to stop you, sweet bitch; I like it when they beg,” the big guy said, laughing while he continued to rip off the tight clothes Robert had somehow managed to squeeze into.
Robert managed to get away from the big guy, and he kicked him in the balls by accident during his temporary escape. The big guy grabbed his balls and rolled over onto his side, but was up in just a few seconds while Robert banged on the door trying to get out. The big guy was pissed and still feeling the effect of the kick to his balls because he limped over to the door and cornered Robert.
“Oh, you want to play rough, I see. I’m gonna have to make you kiss the family jewels to make them all better,” the big guy said as he moved in on Robert while he started to take his shirt off.
The big guy grabbed Robert and threw him across the room while Robert scrambled to his feet. The big guy took his clothes off. All of them, while Robert watched in horror, knowing what was to come.
“Playtime is over now boy, time to come to Daddy you sweet bitch,” the big guy said, as Robert looked at his fully erect penis in horror, knowing what was to come.
Robert moved left and right, but the big guy was cutting him off. He tried one more desperate lunge at the big guy, but this time the big guy wrapped him up and held him, and turned him around. Robert could feel his man meat pushing into his back and began to cry. The big guy put Robert in a sleeper hold, and slowly Robert’s world started to get dark. Robert woke up to a pain he had never felt before and heavy breathing when he gained full consciousness; he realized the big guy was fucking him in the ass.
“Oh yeah, I bet you like that, don’t you? I saved putting the last three inches in you until you woke up,” the big guy said as he pushed deeper inside Robert’s rectum.
Robert screamed out in pain, but the big guy just kept going. Dale and Mike watched and laughed as Robert screamed and yelled for help that wasn’t coming. Dale and Mike left Jimmy to watch the festivities as they had an errand to run for the Senator but would only be gone for a few hours, which gave Robert plenty of time to get used to playing with his new friend. When Dale and Mike got back, Jimmie was only too eager to tell them what happened, but Dale wasn’t in the mood for stories, he wanted to get this job done. Dale went and opened the door to the cell and told Robert to put his clothes on and then went back to the monitoring room where Mike and Jimmy were laughing hysterically.
“And then he made him kiss it after it was in his butthole, hahahahahaha,” Jimmy said as he laughed and snorted.
Robert put his clothes on, or what remained of them from being torn off, and then he was handcuffed and walked out to the black Crown Victoria.
“You guys are Cops?” He said, looking stunned, and noticing the gold federal badges.
“Yes, sir, here to protect and serve. And you sir, just got served,” Dale said as he closed the car door.
Chapter 15
Aunt Ledley
Everyone was excited today, not just because they were headed to Hawaii, but because Aunt Ledley was finally going to be there in the flesh so they could meet her. Karen was especially excited, and she had made a lot of plans for her girls-only trips with Aunt Ledley, Karen even insisted on picking her up from the Airport by herself, so that they could get better acquainted before she brought her to the house. Karen picking Aunt Ledley up, worked out well for them because they needed to get the guns and excess money put away before she got there. Karen was going through different outfits to wear to meet Aunt Ledley, and she decided on the green sundress after she put it on for the third time. Corey and Barry were still finding money in the house, but after their fourth search of the house, they couldn’t find any more money laying around. Corey had rounded up all the guns and put them in the car, so they could take them to the storage unit. Barry made sure they even topped off the safe before they left to the storage unit, the safe had gotten a bit low, and it was regarded as their emergency funds spot. Barry had to admit he was even excited to meet Aunt Ledley and made sure the house was spotless and all their smell good was full, like their plugins and oil burner. Barry was vacuuming, and Corey was dusting, and Karen was making sure the kitchen was spotless, as it usually was anyway.
“Okay, everything looks great. It’s time for me to go, don’t forget to get that stuff over to the storage unit,” Karen said, and she kissed Barry and walked out the door, pointing to the bag of money on the floor.
“We’ll get it done, drive safe, love you,” Barry said, and he slapped Karen’s ass, and the sound echoed around the living room, which made Karen smile.
He could hear the car start and then the garage door open and close as Karen was on her way to get Aunt Ledley from the Airport. He could hear Corey on the phone, but he paid no attention to what he was talking about, he just wanted to get the money into the car, so it didn’t get forgotten about, he knew Corey had already put the guns in the car earlier. He was glad Karen had shipped off the Impala to a restoration specialist because he wouldn’t have time to fix it, and until they moved into the building, they needed the room for Corey’s Lambo.
“Hey Corey, are you ready to roll yet?” Barry said, and he watched Corey go into the kitchen.
“Yeah, almost, give me a minute or two,” Corey said as he pulled his cell phone away from his face, briefly interrupting his conversation.
Barry nodded his head and pointed toward his room to let Corey know he was going to be in there, he could feel his stomach rumbling and decided to try to use the bathroom before they got out of the house, he really hated using public bathrooms, and tried to use the bathroom before leaving the house. He came out about fifteen minutes later and feeling much better only to find Corey still talking on the phone. Barry made the signal that they had to go, and Corey told the person to call him back when they found something out and hung up.
“What was all that about?” Barry asked Corey once he hung up.
“Man, the rental car place is trying to tell me they don’t have the Ferrari available that I reserved,” Corey said, looking disgusted.
“Oh, well I am sure they will get things straightened out for you.”
“I hope so, I want to do this trip right, my honies need to see that I’m a winner and not a chicken dinner.”
“Don’t worry, we will do it big, and you will have a blast.”
“Yeah, you’re right, we already have the best suites and first-class tickets, the car thing will work itself out, they are going to call me and let me know what they can do.”
“Cool, well until then let’s get over to the storage unit and get this stuff put up and get ready for Aunt Ledley’s arrival.”
“Yeah, I’m tripping, I got Aunt Ledley coming in, and we’re all rich, I’m cool as a fan.”
Barry nodded his head, and they walked out to the garage and got in the Lambo. Barry was glad things were looking up for a change, there was no immediate drama to deal with, other than Corey not getting the Ferrari he reserved, and they were heading to Hawaii tomorrow, life was good.
Yes, life is good, unless you’re out of time like Robert was at the very moment that Barry was reveling in it, Robert’s life was ending, badly.
“Please, I’m sorry, tell Barry he was right I am a coward, just don’t kill me,” Robert cried as Dale tied him to a steering wheel and then poured gasoline over him and the rest of the car.
“Too late tough guy, Barry wants you to suffer and to be honest with you, I hate bullies. The funny part of this story is that I will investigate your murder and you will be put in an unsolved category,” Dale said shaking his head as he pulle
d out a lighter and lit Robert on fire. While the fire started to burn, Robert began to scream. Dale watched the flames begin to consume him, and he watched his skin turn black, and his hair burn away as Robert desperately tried to save himself, pulling and jerking on the steering wheel, trying to break free, but salvation wasn’t in the cards for Robert, just death. Dale watched Robert squirm and scream until the heat made him step back from the car, and by then, the screaming had stopped, and Robert was just a memory. Dale walked back over to the Crown Victoria, and Mike was looking at him as he walked up.
“That is one crispy critter.”
“Yeah, he deserved it, piece of shit.”
“I don’t know how you can stand that smell, I had to stay back, that shit is bad,” Mike said, still looking at the car burning.
“It’s all in a day’s work, speaking of which I need to let the Senator know the job is done,” Dale said, pulling out his phone.
“Cool beans,” Mike said as he drove out of the wooded area, where they were.
“Today is a great fucking day, let’s go grab some burgers and eat outside on the patio at Del Rios,” Dale said, and he sent a text message to the Senator.
“Damn, that does sound good, we haven’t been there in a while.”
“Yeah, it just crossed my mind, and we are going to go right by it anyway.”
The Senator was at home in his office when his phone vibrated signaling him that he got a text message. The Senator looked at the time, then he read the message,” The weather is great; we are going to do a little BBQing.” The Senator smiled because he knew that Robert was now a memory and one more item, he could check off his to-do list. The Senator sent a text message to Barry, letting him know that the trash had been taken out. A minute or so later, he received a message back, a smiley face.
Barry was putting his phone away when he looked at the time and figured that more than enough time had gone by for Karen and Aunt Ledley to come through the door any time. He and Corey had been back from dropping the guns and money off at the storage unit for quite some time, and Corey even stopped and picked up some more scratch-off tickets at the liquor store. He felt good that Robert was dead and he didn’t feel bad about it at all, but he decided not to engage the Senator for details because he wanted to focus on having a great day with everyone he truly cared for. He was thinking about getting away from everything and enjoying the Hawaiian air when he heard the garage door open, almost at the same time Corey’s cell phone began to ring.
