“Kotyonok.” My eyes flutter open at the sound of his voice. He licks his lips, which are wet from the pleasure he’s given me. “Do you want another?” He kisses my clit, making my whole body jerk. He smirks against me. I simply nod my head yes, unable to form any sort of words at this point. Victor doesn’t hesitate. He never does when it comes to me. He’s always putting me first. It’s something I’ve quickly noticed about him in our short time together. Maybe being his wouldn’t be so bad. To be someone’s first priority is something I’ve never had before.
He slowly pushes a finger inside of me as he works me with his tongue. My body clenches around it, loving the feeling. I grasp hold of the necklace he adorned me with as I once again climax for him. When my eyes open this time, Victor is standing, focused on where my hand is touching the pendant. He unbuckles his belt, unzips his pants and takes his rock hard cock out. My eyes go wide at the sight of it. How will that ever fit inside of me?
“You like your necklace, Kotyonok. You hold it as I bring you pleasure. I will not take your little pussy today but I need to mark you further.” Claim me, he said before. My eyes are focused on his hand as he begins to stroke himself. Each stroke has my body yearning for him to be inside of me. My sex clenches thinking about how full he’d make me. I reach for him but he does not allow me to touch him where I want. His free hand that’s not stroking himself grabs mine, our fingers locking together in a tight hold. His breathing becomes labored as his movements become faster. He groans as I watch his seed spill out onto my bare sex. I don’t know why that’s so hot but it is. His warm cum coating me in my most intimate of places. His mouth has been there before too.
“You really did claim me, didn't you?” I look up from where he’s marked me.
“I always do what I say I’m going to.” His hand that’s holding mine moves. I let out a small gasp as he uses my own fingers to rub his cum into my skin, coating me in him. “Push some inside,” he tells me. I moan. My body does his bidding as I slip a finger into myself. Victor’s strokes feel better than mine. I’d have to use two of my fingers to make up for one of his.
“This will do.” He gives a nod. “For now.”
“For now.” I repeat his words as I slip my finger out from inside of myself. His hand locks around my wrist as he brings it to his mouth and sucks my finger clean.
“Yes for now, Kotyonok.” He lets my wrist go before stepping back. I watch as he rights his own clothes then bends down to pick up my discarded panties. “Come.”
He leans down, holding them out for me to step into. “I already did,” I mumble. My face heats at my own slip of words. Victor chuckles, which only makes me smile, washing away my blush. I place one hand on his shoulder as I step into my panties. I stand there as he rights my clothes for me. I’m almost like a small doll compared to him. When he’s done he pulls the necklace out to show, rubbing his finger down the chain. He really has laid claim to me.
“What do you want to eat?” he asks. I shrug. I’m normally starving by now but my mind is other places. Like why aren’t we having sex? “You are not hungry? You are small. You should eat three meals a day and snack often.”
“Trust me. I do,” I say with a small laugh. “I should get back to work. We kinda took up my break time.” I glance around the office, my eyes going big. “Oh crap.” I stare down at the broken vase. The vase is a lost cause but the flowers can be saved. “I’ll have this cleaned up and—”
“Kotyonok. I will handle it. We will have lunch together.”
“But—”
“But nothing. You take no days off. You can take a day.” How he makes his words come out as stern and final but also caring I have no idea but he manages to. I start a rebuttal but he cuts me off. “Mr. Lennox travels with big staff. All are here working. You have fifteen more people than normal on site to help. If one thing is wrong I’ll be the first to know and I’ll fix it.”
“You got like eyes everywhere?” I ask.
“Always.”
“You’d tell me?” I hedge. “If something goes wrong. You’ll let me know.”
“If that is what you wish,” he gives. I nod my answer.
“You know the price, Kotyonok.” He smirks. I tilt my head back, giving him my mouth. This kiss is soft and sweet. I can still taste myself on his lips. I can take the day.
“Okay,” I agree, melting into his big body. “Can we eat on the beach?” I ask. “I love it there and wish I got more time to be there when I’m not working.”
He pulls out his phone, putting it to his ear. I listen to him give out orders before pocketing his phone again.
“It is done. We will eat on the beach. Everything will be ready for you,” Victor says as he leads me out the door.
“I need to stop by my place to grab a few things and change real quick before we go,” I tell him as we begin the walk toward my apartment. He nods in approval as he tucks me into his side. We’re only a bit away from my place when I realize I left it a mess this morning rushing to be on time. I slow my pace as we get to the door and turn to face Victor. “I’m going to run in real quick and grab a few things. Can you wait out here for me? I’ll only be a few minutes. Please?” At first I think he’s going to say no but he simply points to his lips, silently asking for my kiss. I pay the toll and enter my place. I throw on my bathing suit and gather a few items to toss into my beach bag and head back to Victor. He pulls me into him again, holding me close. The man really does make me feel like the most precious thing he’s ever touched.
“You look beautiful, my Kotyonok.”
“Thank you.” I reach into my bag to pull on my sunglasses but Victor stops me before I can put them on. “I wish to see your eyes.”
I glance down at his comment. People often stare because of them. “You don’t think they are weird?”
He stops walking to look down at me as if I’ve lost my mind. “They are the most perfect I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen nothing like them before in my life. They are rare and precious. Like you.”
I smile up at him, putting my sunglasses back into my bag. “People say they look weird.”
“People say many stupid things. You should not listen, Kotyonok. I vow to always tell you the truth.”
“So if I asked if this sundress makes my ass look big?”
“That sundress makes me want to bend you over and bury my face between your thighs or ass. Whichever you prefer.”
I laugh so hard I snort. Wish one of my sisters were here to have heard that. They would have died.
“I don’t know what is so funny but I enjoy your laughs.”
“I just snorted. You so sure you wouldn't feed me a white lie?”
“It was an adorable sound, my Kotyonok.” God, I love when he calls me that. It makes me melt inside.
“Do you not wish to tell me about your family or show me inside your home?” Victor asks after a moment. I peek up at him again. We’re almost to the beach.
“I just-”
“I will earn your trust,” he says before I can finish.
“My place is a mess.” I tuck my hair behind my ear. “I’m kinda messy,” I admit. Everything in Victor’s office is in perfect order except for the mess we made. Smooth always jokes that I’m the messiest efficient person she’s ever seen. That’s because I do five million things at once. It’s just how I work. The more organized I get the less efficient I get, oddly. It’s how I am. I’ve come to terms with it but others don’t care for it if they have to share a space with me. My sisters, for example. They refused to share a room with me growing up.
“I can take care of your messes.” I don’t think he’s talking only about the mess that is my place but also the mess that landed me down here to begin with. I am thankful for it. It has gotten me here. I love it here. “It’s not that I don’t think you can. It is that I want the privilege of doing so.”
“You’re good with your words.” I let out a sigh. What can I even say to that?
“Most say I have few
words.”
“Well, the ones you have I rather enjoy.” This gets me a smile as he guides me over toward an area he called ahead to block off. Food is already coming out. He takes my bag from my arm as he guides me to sit.
“This looks wonderful.”
When I glance back to Victor he is looking down at his phone.
“Everything okay?” I start to stand.
“Fine, Kotyonok. I was only checking so I could confirm everything was good before you asked.”
“Oh.” He really is all over this taking care of me thing. “Are you going to join me?” I motion to the other lounge chair.
“I will when they bring another shade.” He glances behind him. “Your skin is too delicate to sit in the sun.” It’s then I realize he’s actually standing in the path of the sun, casting a shadow over me.
“I brought sunscreen.” I reach for my bag.
“Yes, I will apply when the screen gets here. I cannot take the chance of the sun harming you. I will protect you from its harmful rays.” My body heats. I don’t know if it’s thinking about him running his hands all over me to put on sunscreen or the fact that he’s being a human shield.
“I think my skin will be fine for a few minutes.” I fight a smile. I have to bite my lip to do it.
“It is here.” He directs the men where to position the screen before he rushes them off, leaving us alone.
He does run sunscreen all over my skin. He does other things too, giving me the same pleasure he had in his office. I find myself coming up with reasons for him to do things so I have to pay him with kisses. I forget about work and everything else. If Victor isn’t careful he’ll earn more than my trust. He’ll earn my heart too. He’s made it clear that’s what he’s after but I’m not so sure he knows what he’s in for when it comes to me.
Chapter 7
Victor
Violet falls asleep after the last orgasm. Her body is wrung out with pleasure. Filled with satisfaction, I reach inside my pants and give my raging hard-on a violent squeeze. It is not time to take her, no matter how much I desire it. She hasn’t fully given herself over to me and I will not consummate our relationship until my ring is on her finger and her heart is in my hands.
I command myself to stand down so that I may attend to my duties. My body reluctantly obeys.
Beyond the screen, I find King waiting for me.
“I have an update.” He hands me a sheaf of papers.
“Thank you. And the hotel?”
“All is secure. Lennox and Smooth are touring the property together.”
“Good. Make sure Violet is not disturbed.” With a nod, I leave King to find a shady spot to read the latest intel from up North. According to a former employee of Violet’s father’s company, an incident happened at one of the properties that Violets older sister Amie was managing. Someone attempted to kidnap one of the sisters, left a threatening message that all the Collins’ flowers would be cut down and thrown out. The middle sister was already out of town and so the youngest, Violet, was shipped away as well. The culprit fled the scene when Amie appeared at the apartment complex. She and her sister were saved by an undercover detective on a stakeout. The kidnapper, presumed to be a male, has never been caught, which is why Violet has never been summoned home. Detective Marks took responsibility for the eldest sister, who refused to leave, and Violet was sent away. As the youngest, the family decided to not inform Violet of the danger.
I snap the file shut. There is no reason for Violet to be kept in the dark. Being sent away from her family has left her wary of letting others in. She will have to heal the rift between her and her family before she allows me inside. I cross the beach to Violet’s shelter and set the file on the table next to her lounger so she can read it when she awakens.
I then take out my phone and text Detective Marks.
Me: This is Violet’s fiance. I would like a status report on the assailant.
There is no text in return, but my phone rings immediately. Once again stepping away from the shelter, I answer it despite the unknown caller display. I don’t need a machine to tell me who is on the other line. It is obvious.
“Detective Marks,” I say. “It is good of you to call.”
“Who the fuck are you?”
“As I texted you, I am Violet’s fiancé.”
“Violet’s single.”
I shake my head at the phone. “I am disappointed her family takes so little interest in her that they would not send someone down here to keep watch over her.”
“Fuck we don’t,” he spits out.
“Then your person is incompetent because Violet is mine and has been for two days.”
“Two…” The man’s voice dies off. “Look, psychopath, I’m with the New Jersey state police and if you harm one hair on Violet’s head, I’ll have you thrown into prison so fast you won’t even have time to say your lawyer’s name.”
“While I appreciate your bluster in defense of Violet, rest assured that I will be taking care of her from now on. To that end, please forward me the file you are keeping on the attempted kidnapping. Given that the man has not been found, you clearly need my help.”
“And, I repeat, who the hell are you?”
“I am Sokolov of the Sokolov Protection Agency. You have my phone number. Please call when the file is ready,” I reply and hang up.
He will find nothing as my company’s profile is nonexistent. Sokolov exists only to clients on a need-to-know basis. Detective Marks does not fall into that category—yet. Although it is curious that he is still investigating this kidnapping claim despite his promotion from county detective to state police. I will have King run a background check on him. I suspect he has interest in the eldest daughter and for Violet’s sake, I will ensure that her sister is not tied to someone who would present a danger to her family.
I pocket my phone and turn around to see Violet standing by the screen. She has donned her sundress once again and the breeze makes the flowers on her skirt dance. My chest tightens at the sight of her. She’s so beautiful. Heartrendingly so. If I lose her, there would be no reason to continue, so I understand her family’s protectiveness even if I do not approve of how it is carried out. By all means, send her away from danger, but do not keep her in the dark and make her feel unwanted.
My long legs eat up the distance and I have her in my arms before she can draw another breath.
“What is it?” she asks, her beautiful face tipped back so she can search mine. “Is something wrong?”
“Yes. My heart is sore.” I place her hand against my chest so she can feel my galloping heartbeat. “I have not held you in my arms for over an hour.”
A shy smile spreads across her face. “A whole hour, huh?”
“It is far too long. Give me kisses, Kotyonok, so that I once again can be whole.”
“You’re too much,” she says with a giggle, but when my solemn expression does not change, her face grows serious. “You can’t say those things to me,” she says, her chin falling to her chest.
I lift her head with a single finger. “Why not?”
Her cheeks are red. “Because they make me feel things. Things I shouldn’t feel,” she whispers.
“All of those things that make you pink here”—I tap the apples of her cheek—“and warm here”—I pat her left breast—“are the only things you should feel.”
I lift her so that her mouth is even with mine. “When I was young, I would often ask my babushka why I was born and she said that one day my purpose would be revealed. And now that I have found you, the answer is clear. I was born to ensure that your feet never touch the ground and that your face is always full of smiles and your heart is full of love. Now kiss me, Kotyonok, and give me a reason to keep living.”
Chapter 8
Violet
I’m floating on cloud nine after my recent interactions with Victor. He’s been doting on me and making me feel things that I’ve never felt before. His protectiveness, although at ti
mes outright absurd, also warms my heart in the best ways. I didn’t realize that I was missing that close connection with someone. Even though I’m friends with Smooth and Nathan, they don’t know everything about me. I’ve kept a lot of things private from them. My family sent me here to protect me but they’ve pretty much severed all ties with me. I know it’s probably intentional so that I stay safe but sometimes it still hurts. It feels as if they’ve abandoned me. I shake my head to rid myself of those negative thoughts and remember the kind words Victor said to me. He wants me. All of me.
I continue my walk to find Smooth to get my task list in order. Someone brushes past, almost knocking me off the small heels I picked for the day knowing they wouldn’t kill my feet. I gain my balance and turn to see who it is. I swear from the brief glance that it’s Smooth’s mother. I know that can’t be right because those two do not get along from what Smooth has confided in me. It has to be someone that looks like her. I keep walking but get sidetracked by guests and employees that have questions. I’m finally about to reach the dining hall when I practically run into Smooth as she comes around the corner. The look on her face lets me know she’s upset. I’m now sure that it was her mom that ran into me. No one else ever puts that look on Smooth’s face.
Smooth tells me she doesn’t want to talk about her mom when I ask if it was her that I saw earlier. I do the only other thing I can think of and ask her if she wants to go for a drink. She’s hesitant at first but then she finally agrees. We head to one of the bars inside the resort so we can talk through whatever is going on in her head. She always worries about everyone else. I want the chance to do something for her. She was the one to take me in and give me a new home. I want to be here for her in any way that I can.
I also need a little space from Victor. The man has me all crazy inside. I need this drink as badly as Smooth does. My mind and body are going haywire when it comes to thoughts of him. I shelve my issues for the moment and try and concentrate on being a good friend to Smooth. That feat is pretty much impossible when I can constantly feel Victor’s eyes on me. He may stay out of my sight but I can always feel him close. It’s actually a reassuring feeling to know he wants to be close to me. It’s nice to have someone keeping an eye on me.
