“Not under my watch,” he said and she raised an eyebrow as the car began to drive.

“How far is it?” she asked, as they headed off into the sunset.

“Just a couple hours or so,” he replied. “I have a friend who lives in the countryside, a large estate, and he has agreed to house us for the weekend.”

“Oh,” she replied. “First I meet your family and now your friends?”

  He reached for her hand.

“It’s not as serious as it sounds,” he said. “With my friend, we can be...ourselves.”

“Oh,” she understood. “Is he like you?”

“He runs his own pack,” Nathan met her eyes. “If you know what I mean.”

“Is it Devon Lupe?” she asked and Nathan’s eyes flashed surprised. “He was the one who got you VIP tickets the first night. I didn’t realize that he lived all the way out here.”

“He maintains many residences,” Nathan said. “One of them is here in the country so he can be himself and relax.”

“Yeah, and I can imagine what that self is,” she said, with a grin. She reached for her phone and he put his hand over it. “Relax,” she said, pulling it away from him. “I’m not texting my best friend. I’m going to Instagram the sunset.”

  “Without...”

“Nathan,” she said, putting her phone down after she pointed it out the window. “It’s ok. Trust me.”

Trusting someone wasn’t his strong suit. He preferred to be an island, alone and in charge. He trusted his brothers half the time, but that was more delegation than trust.

“What’s your account?” he asked, pulling out his phone. “I would like to follow you.”

“Oh my God,” she said, glaring at him. “You really don’t trust me?”

“On the contrary,” he said. “I just miss you when we are apart.”

She realized that she was being a bit harsh, so she relaxed a bit.

“I miss you too,” she said, as they swapped accounts. She gave him a smile as she looked through his account. “Wow, your account is surprisingly normal.”

“It’s mostly for appearances,” he said. “People look at you strangely if you don’t have social media.”

“Amen to that,” she said. “Anyone who doesn’t have social media is to be avoided.”

She leaned against him as the sun set, closing her eyes. He threw an arm around her, playing idly with her hair, which was tumbling down her back.

“Tired?” he asked, and she nodded, yawning.

“I normally don’t sleep in cars, or anywhere but a bed, but you are comfortable. Women must tell you that all the time.”

“Generally not,” he said and she rolled over on his lap to look up at him.

“Do you not...encounter a lot of women?”

“I do,” he said, gazing down on her. “Most of them are not lying on my lap on a regular basis.”

“What are they doing then?” she asked and he grabbed her hand as she reached up to his face. Their fingers intertwined and he felt like his heart was beating in time with hers.

“I think you can imagine,” he said. “None of them though...were you.”

“Mmm,” she said, closing her eyes. “Flattery will get you everywhere.”

“I hope so,” he said, as he leaned down to kiss her.

Ivy surprises herself by actually napping on and off as the car went along. It was probably not the safest way to ride, but she felt completely safe in Nathan’s arms. As she felt them come off the main road and onto the backroads, she stretched.

“How’s Sarah?” she asked. “Or Queen Sarah, as I’m supposed to call her? Princess Sarah?”

“Sarah is fine,” he said. “I am trying to convince her to move into my home because it would be safer if any of us need to intervene.”

“Can you and your brothers help her like that? Or can...all of the people like you do that?”

“Just my brothers and I,” he said. “Which is why it would be safer if she was closer to us, in case something like that happened again.”

“What exactly happened?” Ivy asked. “If you don’t mind me asking?”

“She just...needs medication on a regular basis, and in this case, her schedule was thrown off, so she missed a dose by a few hours.”

“Wow, that’s terrible,” Ivy said. “Now I feel bad because it was my show.”

“Don’t feel bad,” he said. “She is responsible for herself, and if she has another incident, then we will move her into the house without consent, for her safety.”

“Without consent?” Ivy answered and he set his jaw.

“I promised John I would take care of her,” he said. “And ultimately, I am her...”

“Now, you hush,” she squeezed his hand. “I understand. It’s just...weird.”

“That she would have to listen to me?” he teased her.

“Well, yes,” she said. “That’s not the way we do things around here. Everyone has their own agency.”

“You live in a democracy,” he reminded her. “Or at least, we let you think you do.”

“Oh my,” she gave him a little punch on the arm. “You do have a power complex.”

The car slowed down and they eventually pulled up in front of a large mansion. It was dark outside, and Ivy squinted at the lights in the driveway.

“Holy,” she said, sitting up. “He must be loaded. That art career really pays, eh?”

Nathan smiled as the door opened. He went to help Ivy out, but she got out before neither he or the driver could assist her.

The door to the mansion cracked out, and Devon Lupe stood there, dressed casually in jeans and a dark long-sleeved shirt. With shoulder-length hair and wrinkles around his eyes, he seemed wild and yet kind at the same time. Ivy had realized from Nathan’s subtext that he was the Wolf King, and she felt half honored and half-amused. If someone had told her that this was going to be her life six months ago, she would have told them that they were drunk.

“Welcome,” Devon said, as they approached. The driver carried their bags in and deposited them into the front hall of the mansion, before receiving a large tip from Nathan and heading off. “I’m Devon.”

“I’m Ivy,” she said, shaking his hand. “Or should I...?”

It was a mock curtsey, but Devon accepted it as sincere.

“Perhaps in the outside world,” he said. “But here, we are ourselves. I have heard many things about you.”

“Hopefully good things,” Ivy said, looking around. “Nice digs.”

“Thank you?” he glanced to Nathan. “You two must be tired, I can show you to your rooms.”

“Rooms?” Ivy said, glancing to Nathan. “As in plural?”

  Nathan locked eyes with her.

“I would prefer singular,” he said, feeling her power wash over him. He didn’t glance at Devon, who shrugged.

“Singular it is,” he said. “Follow me.”

Ivy took Nathan’s hand as they climbed the staircase.

“You are brazen,” the dragon king whispered in her ear, as they climbed. She grinned and nipped at his ear in return.

“Does that bother you?” she asked, quietly. “Or do you like it?”

“It can be embarrassing,” he said. “But it’s addicting.”

“Good,” she said. “That’s where I want to keep you.”

Given how good Nathan’s hearing was, she was sure that Devon could hear her as well. But Ivy didn’t really care. Their hands intertwined, and she felt her body tingle as he reached behind to place a hand on the small of her back. Given how flirtatious they were climbing the stairs, she had a feeling their bedroom was going to be on fire tonight.

“It is I who wants to keep you,” he whispered, as they rounded the final corner. Ivy nipped at his ear again and then dropped his hand as Devon turned around.

“Here’s your room,” he said, leading them into a huge suite. All Ivy could see, however, was the bed, and exactly where she wanted Nathan when she had her way wit
h him.

  Chapter 10

“Do dragons and wolves often get along?” Ivy asked as Devon gave them time to settle in.

“No,” Nathan said. “Not for generations.”

“Oh,” she said. “So you’re particularly diplomatic?”

“It’s more work to feud than it is to get along,” he responded. “And Devon and I are a lot alike.”

“Both exhausted Kings looking for an escape?” she teased him, sinking on the bed.

“Something like that,” he said, as he sat on the bed next to her. She smiled and leaned back on her elbows.

“What kind of escape would you like?” she said, as her hair flowed down her back. “I offer all kinds of experiences.”

“Do you?” he asked, leaning towards her. Their lips met, and he felt like electricity was running through his body. They had kissed before, of course, but he knew that this was going to lead to something more. His body was tingling and he pushed her back onto the pillows, putting his hand on her face and then running it down her side.

“Mmm,” she moaned, as she put her hand on his side, trying to angle his body so she could curve into him. “Did you want something?” she asked, as she nipped at his lip.

“You know what I want,” he responded. “And I’ve wanted it for a long time.”

“I’m surprised you resisted all this time,” she answered.

“It was not easy,” he said. “I want you so...”

“I know,” she answered. “I want you too. I’ve thought about you doing this to me.”

“Oh God,” he said, imagining all the times they had stopped just short of completing each other. “Did you?”

“Sometimes,” she whispered in his ear. “Sometimes I’d have to do something about it.”

“Like...what?” his breath came in hot gasps as he struggled to pull her shirt off. “What did you do?”

“Well, I’d reach down,” she said, her hand falling to her hip and then sneaking under her pants. “And then I’d touch myself, thinking of you going inside me.”

“Oh my God,” he dropped on top of her, so that his growing cock could make contact with her supple curves. He began to grind against her leg, and she closed her eyes, imagining it inside me.

“You going to leave me wanting more?” she asked. “Or are you going to help me out?”

He didn’t need to be told twice. He unbuttoned his pants and she undid hers. In half a moment, there was only skin between them. His hard cock touched the opening of her pussy and he moaned.

  “Can I just...?”

“Can you not feel how wet I am for you?” she asked. “Get inside me.”

He slipped inside her and she moaned, arching her hips.

“You’re so big,” she said, as she clenched her pussy around him.

“Don’t do that,” he pushed against her, out of impulse. She looked surprised and then grinned.

“Why not?” she asked. “Can’t you take it? You won’t be able to hold it?”

“Oh, I can hold it,” he answered, as he thrust into her. She groaned again, her eyes fluttering in pleasure. “I can give it to you as hard as you want.”

“Can you?” she taunted him. “Because I want it hard. I want you to give it to me so hard.”

He increased his pace, thrusting into her pussy, which grew weaker with every thrust. He could feel his pleasure building, but he was determined to control himself until she reached her own orgasm.

“Oh God,” she moaned. “Fuck me. Fuck me hard. Harder.”

Her voice was louder, and Nathan briefly thought about the fact that Devon could probably hear them. He didn’t really care though, the more that Ivy angled to her hips in order to get him deeper inside her.

  “You’re so wet,” he managed.

“What’s the matter?” she teased him. “Can’t take it? Some brilliant dragon King and you can’t hold it against my pussy?”

“I can hold it as long as you—-ah,” he felt a twinge and knew that he was past the point of no return. She was too attractive, her curves too inviting, and her lips too supple. “Oh God. Oh God.”

“Cum for me,” she said, in his ear. “Cum in me. Give me your cum.”

“I’m going to fill you up,” he groaned, thrusting one final time. He exploded into her, and it was enough to push her over the edge. Her walls clenched around his cock, and she orgasmed with a scream. She had no shame, squirming underneath him and shuddering.

“Oh God,” he said, collapsing beside her.

“That was pretty good,” she said, with a smile, rolling over to lay on his shoulder. “God.”

“Yeah,” he couldn’t even form words yet, his brain still mush. “Wow.”

“Mmm,” she snuggled into his shoulder. “I assume you wanted to see your friend at some point during this trip? Because I’d rather do that again.”

“Again?” he asked. “Are you still not satisfied?”

“I’m never satisfied,” she answered. He reached his still shaking hands over to touch between her legs. She was dripping wet, and she squirmed as his fingers stroked the outside of her folds.

“Did you want me to give you more?” he asked, rolling onto his side. “Hmm?”

“Yes,” she answered, laying back and surrendering completely to his magic fingers. He slipped one finger inside, and then two. She groaned, arching her hips again as he began to thrust. “Oh God, just like that.”

“You are wanton,” he said, leaning down to kiss her neck. “You always need more, don’t you?”

“God,” she groaned. “Oh God. More. More.”

“You want more, like this?” he asked, and put a third finger inside, stretching her pussy. She groaned, gripping his forearms.

“I’m going to cum,” she moaned. “I’m going to cum, oh God. Ah. AH!”

Her voice hit her full octave rang as he pushed her towards her second orgasm.

“Nathan—Nathan, oh God, no more, no more.”

“I think you can take more,” he answered as he continued to thrust into her. He could feel his cock hardening again, watching her naked breasts bounce and her eyelids flutter as she gave into waves of pleasure.

“Don’t—-oh God, don’t stop. Don’t stop,” she moaned, a complete wet mess in his hands. He felt her walls start to contract again, and his cock grew hard enough so he slid back inside her. It surprised her for a moment and then she adapted to it, clenching around him. She was completely lost in her pleasure, rolling her hips and pushing for a third orgasm.

This time was slower, both of them shaking in pleasure and half in exhaustion, as they began to move in unison. When he came, it was in splurts, causing black spots to dance in front of his eyes.

As King, he had had many women in his bed. He had a variety of experience under his belt, but none of them compared to the orgasms she was giving him.

He knew that after her, he could never go back. He could never sleep with another woman, of any race, after being buried in her.

“Wow,” Ivy said, as her thighs shook. “You’re good.”

“So they tell me,” he responded. “But they must tell you the same.”

“Mmm,” she said, closing her eyes. “Usually, I’m not too interested in what they tell me. I’m usually just interested in how I feel.”

“Selfish,” he teased her. “Did you feel good?”

“I did,” she answered. “I felt amazing. That should last me a few hours.”

“Hours?” he asked, and she chuckled.

“At least,” she said, sliding under the sheets. He joined her, taking pleasure in simply curling up behind her. They seemed to fit perfectly together, made for each other. She yawned, and stretched, before curling up against him again. “Oh, I could fall asleep right here.”

“Mmm,” he said, burying his face in her neck. “We could.”

“You didn’t want to go back downstairs?” she asked him.

“I’m sure Devon would understand,” he said, feeling sleep taking him.
“We’ll see him in the morning.”

It had been a long time since he slept so peacefully. He didn’t even dream, snuggled up beside her naked body. Nathan constantly felt like he slept with one eye open, waiting for someone to come in with news that would mean dragging himself out of bed.

When dawn finally broke, he felt like he had the best sleep of his life. He felt fresh, ready to take on the day. Beside him, Ivy shifted, rolling over and yawning.

“Good morning,” he said, kissing her on the nose.

“Good morning,” she answered. “How’d you sleep?”

“Fantastic,” he answered. “Usually, at this time of day, I want to roll over and not look at my phone. But I feel ready for whatever is on it.”

“Ain’t that the truth,” she answered, as she reached for her own phone, sitting on the bedside table.

“Anything interesting?” he asked, not wanting to break the perfect moment.

“Apparently my contract is getting extended,” she answered.

“Oh?” he was surprised by that. “At the theatre?”

“Yes,” she grinned. “Six more weeks of work.”

  “Is that a bad thing?”

“No, especially not when you are a freelancer,” she answered. “There were a lot of good reviews, so they decided to extend. If you google my name, it’s crazy, apparently.”

“Congratulations,” he said, kissing her on the cheek.

“Meh,” she gave him a grin. “It’s my dream, so I knew it would happen eventually. I just had to keep going.”

“Do you think you could do anything else?” he asked and she shrugged.

“I mean, I could,” she replied. “But this is what I want to do.”

A knock came on the door then, and both of them pulled the covers up as the door cracked open.

‘Sorry,” said a voice. “Breakfast is ready.”

“Thank you, Ben,” Nathan answered, and the door shut again. “That’s Devon’s youngest prince. He usually is full of energy at the crack of dawn.”

“Oh,” she replied. “So, his son?”

“Not quite,” Nathan answered. “There were two families on the werewolf throne, sort of alternating back and forth. Ben is the orphan son of the other family, so it only made sense for Devon to take him in.”
