Two minutes later, Nikki came with a tidal wave of pleasure cascading over her body. A mind-numbing experience. She was shaking so hard, Mia had to hold her until it subsided.
“Bite my neck, please bite me.”
Nikki didn’t have to ask again. Mia gladly sank her teeth into the offered flesh.
“Harder.”
Mia bit down hard causing Nikki to cry out again. The pain gave a center for the sensations in her body, allowing her to melt into Mia.
“Well, that was fast. Are you always that quick?” Mia asked.
Nikki couldn’t find her words yet. Mia was running her fingers over her clit making her jump. She shook her head instead and nuzzled into the warmth beside her. Never had she come so quickly. Never had she been so aroused in her life. Never had she, as thoroughly, enjoyed herself as she had just moments ago. Sex had always been just that. A means for release. With Mia, it was more than that. All the feelings that had been building only added to the intensity of their love making.
“Your evil.”
“Does that mean you don’t want me to touch you anymore?” Mia asked with that wicked grin.
“Oh, I want a lot more, just not of the teasing. I have had enough of that the last month.”
“I don’t know. It seemed like you enjoyed it. Do you need a break already?”
Nikki kissed the smile off Mia’s face.
“Goodness no.”
Nikki slid her finger into Mia’s hot center and up to her clit. She was even wetter than before. Nikki pulled Mia on top of her. Mia’s breast hanging in Nikki’s face. Feeling the frame sliding up and down on her fingers. Nikki took Mia’s nipple into her mouth.
“Fuck me.”
She obeyed and entered Mia as she rocked on top of Nikki. Her thumb rubbing the nub.
“Don’t stop.”
Never. Mia’s voice climbed with every movement. She never stopped moving and never stopped moaning. It was a constant music to Nikki’s ears, a tune she wanted to listen to forever. She listened to Mia and felt her rhythm. Mia was tightening on her fingers. Her body rocking faster. Her legs clamped down on Nikki. Until her whole body shook and she collapsed.
Mia lay in her arms spent from their love making, her hair fanned out around them. Nikki saved the image to her growing database of her favorite pictures of Mia. Suddenly Nikki had a vision of the woman from her dreams. Even before she had met Mia, her mind knew exactly the woman she was looking for. It was so clear now. She held Mia in her arms and kissed her. She couldn’t remember a time when she was happier.
Chapter Twenty
She had returned, the woman born from the depths of Nikki’s mind. Somehow her dream seemed different this time. More powerful. There was no vision of hair, no peaceful revelations. Only the feel of hands running down her body. Wave after wave of ecstasy crashed upon her, bringing her to the brink of oblivion. It was automatic, her response to the figure. Something she never understood, reaching for a figure that wasn’t there. A need for more, without knowing who was touching her. Everything was heightened. Every touch. Every kiss. Nikki wanted to reach out. To touch as she was being touched, but her arms were like lead.
“Good morning,” a voice whispered in Nikki’s ear before nibbling it. All of a sudden the world came back and she realized this was not imaginary. There was no dream figure, never had been. Only Mia. Nikki opened her eyes as Mia kissed a trail down her body. A tongue licked the small of her back, causing a chill to run up her spine. Mia’s breasts press against her as she moved up to Nikki’s neck.
“Shh. No it can’t be morning. If it is morning then I have to get up.”
Nikki rolled over and kissed the lips that had teased her awake. Fingers slid over Nikki’s clit. Tingling causing her to rouse fully.
“Well, good morning beautiful. How are you?”
“I’m wonderful and I am about to be much better.”
The kiss that followed was seductive. Drawing Nikki further into Mia’s morning plans. It didn’t take much. Last night had only given her a taste for what she knew would be a lifelong hunger. A craving she would never be able to satisfy.
“Mmm. Don’t you have to go home? Do we have time for that? Please say yes. ”
“Well,” Mia turned her head to look at the clock, “I brought clothes with me, just in case. So if we are fast...”
“I have a better idea. How about you shower with me and we can squeeze in a couple more times.”
“Yes,” Mia whispered into her ear.
Nikki grabbed Mia, turned and pinned her to the bed, “I thought I warned you about that yesterday.”
“Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it coach?”
Mia remembered the threat and was more than willing to take the consequences. Nikki moved both of Mia’s small wrists into one hand. She ran the other down Mia’s body, slowly, seductively. Stopping just above her mound and moving back up. Right as Mia was about to beg, Nikki started tickling her. Mia writhed on the bed trying to free her hands. She was completely caught off guard and had no way to stop the assault on her abdomen.
“Okay, okay,” Mia said between laughing, “You win.”
Nikki stopped tickling Mia and kissed her again. She released Mia’s hands and was surprised when Mia got up.
Leaning down, distracting Nikki as her breast swayed in front of her, Mia murmured in Nikki’s ear.
“Yes, I’m ready for my shower.”
Mia was laughing as she turned to run. Nikki sprinted after her, but did not catch up until they reached the bathroom.
“I win,” Mia said as Nikki pressed her up against the wall.
“What is it that you win?”
“You’ll find out.”

They made love in the shower and two more times in the bedroom. Reluctantly they both dressed and went to work in separate vehicles. Mia stopped for coffee instead of following Nikki. Even though they were in separate cars, Mia wanted to be sure there was no speculation about them arriving at the same time and from the same direction. When Mia arrived at school she dropped off her bag in her office and went in search of Nikki.
Knocking on the open door, the first thing she saw was Nikki yawning.
“I thought you might be a little tired. So I got you some coffee.”
Nikki closed the door, “I knew you were amazing but coffee too.”
Mia held it behind her back, “Really? After the night and morning we spent together, the thing you are happy to see is coffee?”
Nikki pulled at the black suit jacket, causing Mia to close the distance between them. Not stopping until their hips were touching. A familiar throb began and Mia didn’t want to resist the kiss offered. Nikki’s body engulfed her in its warmth. Her lips melting her from the inside. She was so distracted, Nikki took the coffee from her without any fight. Mia’s hands were happy to be free to touch, to caress what she knew to be a well-muscled body. The car ride had been lonely and she already missed the feel of Nikki’s hands on her skin. They had made love multiple times during the night and morning. Mia should be spent. She was, a little, but the moment Nikki touched her she was ravenous once again. As if they hadn’t spent the last twelve hours satisfying each and every need. When they drew apart Nikki took a drink of the coffee.
“Hey,” Mia looked at the cup, “That’s not fair.”
Nikki laughed triumphantly. “Nikki Reed, if you don’t tell me that you are happier to see me than that coffee,” Mia pointed at the offending cup.
“What?” Nikki asked as she took another drink.
“Well, we will just have to see how much you still like that coffee when you are wearing it.”
“How about I wear you instead.”
Nikki tried to kiss Mia, but an arm pressed against her chest. Effectively stopping Nikki in her tracks.
“Oh, no you don’t. If you like coffee so much, you can kiss it.”
Mia turned to leave and felt Nikki grab her arm, spinning her back around. Before Mia co
uld stop her, Nikki had her trapped in the small office.
“Stop it, I’m mad at you.” Mia tried to look mad, but her smile was too big to contain.
“No you’re not,” Nikki stated before she kissed Mia, “Of course I am happier to see you than the coffee. My drive over was miserable. I was sitting here trying to think of reasons to go see you. And it is absolutely better to be woken up by you than to use coffee to wake up. Actually,” Nikki locked the door, “how about we wake up a little more right now?”
“I have a student scheduled to be in my office in five minutes and you have class, but nice try.”
Mia gave Nikki a kiss for finally giving the correct answer.
“I will see you at lunch.”
Nikki stood in the hall watching Mia walk away.
Can’t wait.
It had been a long boring day, but at least Mia was busy. She was getting reacquainted with the players. Not much had changed since she saw them last. While there were no problems to solve, it was nice to have a full schedule again. She wished for the day to be over. Even though she got to see Nikki at lunch, it was in a room full of people. It would be torturous to sit so close and not being able to touch her.
Thankfully, when she arrived, Sam was nowhere in sight. Mia didn’t know what she would do if she had to watch Sam flirting with Nikki again. Wring her neck. Honestly, she couldn’t do anything about it. Not here. Nikki appeared before Mia could register her approaching. A beaming smile upon her face. The table shifted slightly as Nikki took her seat, practically plopping down beside Mia.
Students from the prom committee were going around the room selling tickets. Abruptly stopping at their table, interrupting the silent make out session going on in Mia’s head.
“Ms. Sanchez, we were hoping you would be one of the chaperones at prom.”
“I would be honored, thank you.”
“You too coach.”
“Of course, I wouldn’t miss it.”
As the committee went about their next agenda, Nikki leaned into Mia. The air thinned a little causing Mia to get light headed.
“Does this mean you will need a date?”
“When is prom?”
“Next week. Didn’t you see the flyers?”
Next week! Why would they wait so long? What am I going to wear? What is appropriate to wear? Mia’s mind was reeling.
“Why would they only give us a week’s notice?”
“Well as you know this is a small school. Prom is held the same week every year. We do it here in the gym. Guess they didn’t consider that you were new and didn’t know to have a dress. Actually, it’s usually the same teachers that go every year.” Nikki looked around the room, “Wonder who you bumped from the list.”
It hit Mia when she went back to her office from lunch, Nikki had not made any plans to see her again. What if one night was all she wanted? Why would she ask about prom, but not a second date? Mia inwardly signed. How had she become so unsure of herself, of her judgement? Had Nikki just been playing a role the whole time? Telling her what she wanted to hear. Either way she had committed herself to chaperoning the prom. Guess I’m going shopping tomorrow.
Nikki couldn’t remember the last time she was this happy, if ever. She felt like she was floating. Everything was falling into place. She should go talk to Sam today. The idea was immediately dismissed. She just didn’t want anything to burst her bubble. It was Friday and they had a game. She couldn’t see Mia until later, but she knew once they were together she wouldn’t have to leave Mia’s side for the next few days. If Sam didn’t show, maybe Mia could stand in again. The idea of seeing Mia sooner was too tempting to turn down.
“Hey gorgeous,” Nikki said as Mia answered her phone.
“Well hello coach. What can I do for you?”
“For me or to me?”
Mia blushed, “Coach I am a little busy with a student. How can I help you?”
“Should I come down there? I can talk to you after you’re done.”
“No,” Nikki could hear her telling a student that it would just be a second, “I am booked today.”
“Oh, okay. I was just calling to see if you were busy tonight. I have a game and Sam isn’t talking to me. She didn’t show to practice yesterday and I was hoping you could help me out again.”
“I don’t see that being a problem. I’ll call you back in a little bit with a definite answer.”
“I can’t wait. Let me know if you find time for that meeting too. I would love some one on one counseling.”
Nikki was smiling as she hung up. She got up and headed into the gym. Counting down the seconds. She couldn’t wait for the day to be over.
* * *
Mia was just finishing up and getting ready to head to the gym when Nikki walked in.
“I was just on my way down there.”
Mia stopped in her tracks when Nikki closed the door. They embraced the second the lock clicked into place.
“You never called,” Nikki said between kisses.
“Sorry it was a really busy day. I’m free if you still need me.”
“Yes. Always yes.”
Nikki started kissing Mia’s neck, her hands on Mia’s ass. She was envisioning a repeat of the prior night.
“Nikki that is not what I meant. The game. You asked if I could help.”
“Right, game. Wonderful,” but her mind was not focused on the conversation.
“Are you always this forgetful?” Mia asked in between kisses. As much as she liked giving Nikki a hard time, honestly she was starting to lose track of what they are talking about too.
“Only since I met you. Guess I get a little distracted. Can’t imagine with what,” Nikki stated as she unbuttoned Mia’s shirt. “Maybe we can get dinner after the game and you can actually answer me about prom.”
Mia stopped Nikki’s progress on her shirt.
“Stop that. What are you doing?”
“Sorry. Like I said, distracted.”
“Nikki we can’t go to prom together. This is for work,” Mia tried to get them back on topic as she buttoned her shirt.
“Sure we can. We are both invited and no one needs to know it is a date.”
“That’s your solution? Hide in plain sight?”
“I didn’t say it was a solution, just an option.”
They walked back towards Nikki’s office talking about the prom theme and waited for the bus. Sam didn’t show before it arrived. Mia helped make sure all the equipment was picked up and loaded onto the bus. She sat at the front of the bus with Nikki, amazed at how easy it was. Girls didn’t get rowdy like boys. They simply sat in their seats and talked. Okay, sometimes they talked loudly, but there was no concern someone would get hurt or a fight would break out.
“Did you go to prom?” Mia asked.
“No, something about lesbians not being able to bring a date. You?”
“Yeah, but I have a feeling it will be different here.”
“Why do you say that?” Nikki asked as they went over a particularly large bump. One of these days she was sure she would hit her head on the ceiling.
“Well, you know, there is you, country music and no gangs.”
“Right. Sorry. This must all be new to you. The quiet. How are you adjusting?”
“I’m good. You’re right. It is strange to not worry about fights. No students threatening each other. No metal detectors at the entrance.”
Mia could see the entrance to the school. Hear the noise of the metal detectors and wands going off. The crowds of people cheering as they encircled a fight. She smelled the smoke in the bathroom. Odd to think that she used to wish it was cigarettes. She remembered the push back when the school banned bandanas to discourage gang colors, like it helped.
The feel of Nikki’s fingers as they rubbed the side of Mia’s leg brought her back to the present. She looked down but only saw the clipboard that sat on Nikki’s lap, blocking the view of her hand.
“I can’t imagine. Maybe one day
you will come to work and this will all seem normal to you.”
“I hope so.”
The girls were warming up for the game in the field. Nikki was meeting with the other coach. Mia didn’t want to feel useless and went about trying to put out the helmets. Then she lined up the bats, the handles leaning against the fence. The umpire came over to check the equipment. Unfortunately Mia didn’t know they should be facing a certain way to make the process quicker. Heck, she didn’t know the ump had to check helmets and bats for a seal. Aren’t they all the same?
“Are you kidding me?” Nikki turned to see Sam glaring at Mia and walked over as fast as she could. “What are you doing here?” Sam looked furious. Had she ever seen Sam angry before?
“I was asked to help,” Mia stated defensively.
Nikki tried to put an end to any argument before it started.
“Sam, I didn’t think you were going to make it. I haven’t heard from you in a couple days. You missed practice and the bus for the game. I thought you quit.”
“Well, I was a little upset and needed some time to sort things through. I decided, after the bus left, that I should be here. I guess you don’t need me anymore. You have her!”
Sam looked pointedly at Mia. Nikki tried to steer them away from the players that looked in on the squabble.
“I don’t understand Sam. I thought we already cleared the air. Besides, you are the one that wanted us all to be friends.”
“Oh grow up Nikki. I never wanted to be Mia’s friend. I was just trying to find out if she was interested in you. And after my talk with her the other day, it was clear you wanted more than just her friendship.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Nikki’s head was spinning. None of this made sense. She glanced at Mia, hoping she had any idea what Sam was so upset about. What in the heck is going in?
Mia chimed in, “Well, you see, the night you came over upset about your talk with Sam; she tried to tell me you were with her all night, at your house.”
