“Gurth gothrim Tel’ Quessir![7]” The assassin let the arrow fly-missing Bhaltair easily-and impacting with one of the blasting powder pouches secured to a stabilizing beam.

The Dwarven Foreman barely had time to look shocked as the powder exploded. Other pouches ignited as well, blowing the beams to splinters all around the room. The ceiling rumbled and collapsed. Tons upon tons of rock crashed down onto the bodies of both Dwarf and Elf, burying all within the mine. The ground shook all the way to Silver City on the other side of the valley. As the sun broke over the eastern horizon, a plume of dirt and debris burst from the mine’s entrance. The golden memorial statue momentarily disappeared into the cloud, but before long the dust settled and the morning became still again. The Ether Mine was closed once more.
