I smiled. “Deal. See you in two minutes, and don’t be late. We both need every minute of sleep we can get.”

“You don’t have to tell me twice,” he said before stopping and turning back to look at me. “I love you. As soon as this whole sleeping thing returns to our house, we’re going to celebrate. I want to have a party.”

My mouth fell open. “You what?”

“Yep, a party. I want to invite that couple we met at the parent thing for Jace’s school. I want to celebrate our life together.”

“Theo, you don’t have to do that. I know you don’t like parties.”

He shook his head. “This is different. This is a celebration of a new life for all of us. It deserves to be memorialized with a fancy shindig.”

I grinned. “You don’t have to ask me twice. You know I love a good party.”

“I know you do. Now, go. Get that baby settled in our room. I’ll be right behind you.”

We both tiptoed back into the living room and headed out, him carrying Jace and me pushing Tiana. I looked over my shoulder at him as he walked down the hall toward Jace’s room.

I was absolutely the luckiest woman in the world, and I would never take it for granted.
