Coluss moved back a bit and began chanting another incantation, starting slowly, then speeding up and increasing the pace and volume until it reached a peak. A white light briefly shined from under the cloth, then faded away.

Coluss looked at Idok and said, “Let’s move back and observe.” The oink and warlock did as such, waiting with bated breaths while staring at the cloth.

The thing under the cloth began to move and soon flipped away as a hamster sat up, confused, and lost.

“…where…where am I?” he said, looking around before looking at himself. “Am…am I dead?”

Coluss smiled as Idok let out a squeal of joy and the warlock replied, “Not anymore, Bailey. Welcome back to the world of life.”

Bailey, checking himself, saw stitches on his chest, as well as his armour and weapon on a table nearby. He looked to Idok and Coluss and said, “I remember fighting on the plains with Neo and the togastas came on hard, one got me good…wait…I…I AM ALIVE!”

He sat up, a bright smile on his face as Coluss wiped a tear away and said, “You’re in safe hands, Bailey. You were almost gone. Almost.”

Bailey hopped off the table, ran up to Coluss and embraced him, replying, “Thank you so much, Coluss. I think I was truly gone…until you happened.” Bailey took a fist and raised it up and said, “It takes more than a stab wound to, agh!” he cut himself off short, holding his chest.

“You’re probably still tender from the surgery. Rest and be still,” Coluss replied. Bailey chuckled and replied, “You’re right. I’ll focus on healing first.”

Coluss said, “The road to recovery will be long, but you have time. The alliance won. Settler escaped, but Demanonis was captured. The togastas along with the evil oinks retreated and left.”

Bailey smiled, his eyes twinkling, “That’s even better news. Very well, the road to recovery begins here.” Looking to his armour and sword, he thought aloud, “Everyone, I’ll return. I promise.”
