Leigh Russell is the author of the internationally bestselling DI Geraldine Steel and DS Ian Peterson crime series, both of which are currently in development for television. She studied at the University of Kent, gaining a master’s degree in English and American literature. After many years teaching English at secondary school, she now writes crime fiction full-time. Published on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as in translation throughout Europe, Russell’s books have reached top positions on many bestseller lists, including #1 on Kindle and iTunes. Her work has been nominated for a number of major awards, including the CWA New Blood Dagger and CWA Dagger in the Library. As well as writing bestselling crime novels, Russell appears at national and international literary festivals and runs occasional creative writing courses across Europe.
