“China from inside, Iran, Russia, North Korea from the outside…hard to say,” Marley said since she was in the room with them.
Colt said, “We’ll need to change the way we live our lives because, sooner or later, we’re going to have to defend them. Not just in the streets with these degenerate Hayseed Rebellion maggots, but on the battlefields against better-defended and more-equipped armies.”
“The odds are against us,” Faith said, “but we’re warriors, and we have the home-field advantage.”
“I don’t think that’ll be enough,” Hudson said. Hudson sat next to Kenley, but they weren’t together the way Constanza and Rowan were together.
“It’s going to have to be enough,” Gator replied.
“Let’s set fire to that bridge when we have to,” Leighton said, following the conversation. “In the mean time, let’s just celebrate all of us being together and alive.”
Roscoe let out a sharp bark, seconding that motion with vigor. Smiles abounded and it seemed to Constanza that, for the moment, the group was largely unconcerned with the hell that was sure to come in the incoming days. Rowan’s little sister was right, though. They were alive and finally back together.

About the Author
Ryan Schow is a USA Today Bestselling Author who grew up reading anything from Robert Ludlum to Stephen King to Chuck Palahniuk.
