Many readers inquire about Jenny Elf, who derives from Jenny Gildwarg, paralyzed at age 12 by a drunk driver. I haven’t said much because not much has changed. At this writing, in Jamboree 1998, Jenny is 21 and remains mostly paralyzed. Drunk drivers are still given mostly wrist slaps. I still write to her every week. Jenny Elf, in Xanth, got married last novel, and is now a princess, and isn’t in this one because the year following marriage is nobody else’s business. Presumably the stork will have one more visit, in due course.
