Alien Gladiator's Prize Page 18

While he sucked her nipples, he pushed his hand between her legs. She opened her thighs for him and she was dripping wet. He groaned against her breasts as he pushed his fingers into her and she cried out, gasping and moaning.

He pumped his fingers in and out of her a few times, relishing in the sounds that escaped her lips.

His cock ached with need, but he was determined to go slow. It seemed that she didn’t have the same idea though, as she suddenly grabbed his cock, her soft fingers twirling around it. He nearly spent himself right there and then.

She tugged at his flesh, moving in the same rhythm as he pumped his fingers in and out of her. Gage suppressed a moan. Her hand was heavenly. He thrust his cock into her welcoming palm, harder. Then again.

He couldn’t wait any longer. He removed his hand from her soft core and positioned himself at her entrance. With a slow push, he inserted himself into her.

She cried out as he did, her legs curling around his waist. Gage saw stars for a moment as her warm tightness stretched around him. It felt so good.

He moved inside of her, pushing in deep, pulling out slowly again. Her warmth encompassed him and he lost himself in the feel of her. She wrapped her arms and legs around him, seeming just as invested as he was. He knew it was all real. It was important.

  Amelia was all that mattered.

  She was his.

His thrusts started to gain a frantic edge as he pounded into her. Her nails bit into his back, and Gage couldn’t hold himself back anymore. He thrust into her with more fervor, the pleasure of her hot, wet sheath around his cock incredible. She moaned as he pounded into her, not seeming to mind the change in pace.

  He was close. So close.

But he wanted her to come first.

He kept up the rhythm, trying to hold his release at bay, until the walls of her sex contracted around him and she moaned his name as she came. Gage followed quickly behind. He spent himself inside her with a growl and collapsed on top of her, his breath escaping him in heavy pants.

He couldn’t remember a time when he had felt more content.

Afterward, when they lay in bed together, they lay on their sides, facing each other. He studied her features and couldn’t believe how incredibly beautiful she was. Everything about her was beautiful, and he was constantly impressed by her strength.

“I don’t think I am going to fight again,” Gage suddenly said.

Amelia frowned. “What? How can you say that?”

Gage pulled up one shoulder and ran his fingertips down her bare arm. “I don’t really see why I should. I have more than enough currency for us to live comfortably for the rest of our lives. I’ve already proven my ability. To myself, and the rest of the galaxy. I have won three tournaments in a row. That’s a big deal.”

Amelia looked surprised. “What else will you do then?”

“I don’t know,” Gage said. “But being a gladiator doesn’t define me. It was something I wanted to try, but I think I’m over it now. I don’t really want to win any more prizes. You were the best prize of all.”

Amelia smiled when he said that.

The whole concept of not going back to fighting was a new one, but Gage had suddenly realized that his life was a lot more fulfilled now than it had ever been before. And it wasn’t the fighting that had taken him there. It was finding the person who had been able to fill the void inside him. Something that Gage hadn’t been able to do himself.

Everything about Amelia was different, and it allowed him to be himself. She allowed him to crawl out of his shell, to be the person he had pushed away for so long.

He knew that it was still going to be a rocky road ahead. Amelia was someone he needed to get to know, differently from everyone else because he couldn’t predict her actions, but it was a learning experience that he wanted to explore. He wanted to get to know her the normal way. He wanted to be with her, to be a different person than he had forced himself to be the last couple of seasons.

The concept was still new, but it was something he wanted her to explore.

Gage had never felt as completely content as he felt now, with her beside him, like this.

When Gage had decided to become a gladiator, it had been because he had felt restless in the military. He hadn’t been allowed to join the troops, and he had thought that it was crippling him in a way. Being a gladiator had been a way to distract himself.

But that hadn’t really worked, not as well as he would have hoped.

Either way, whatever he had chosen, Gage had never thought of himself as someone to settle down. But now, with Amelia at his side and all the difficulties straightened out, he could start imagining the future. One where this fantastic human female was a part of his life.

For the first time Gage was excited about the future, about the mysteries it would hold, about where he might end up one day. He didn’t feel like his life was empty, he didn’t feel like he was chasing something he would never be able to catch.

For the first time, he was completely content. And he couldn’t wait to see what the rest of his life would hold for him. For them together.

  Epilogue

  Amelia

Life with Gage was very different from anything Amelia would have been able to imagine. Of course, when she had thought about her future, she wouldn’t have imagined it taking place on a different planet than hers. Back then, she hadn’t even been aware that there were other life forms in the universe.

Now, she had broadened her horizons and the way she looked at life.

Although she was a scientist, she had pushed her interests to the back burner for a while as she had adjusted to her new life with Gage. She had been with him a couple of weeks when he had suggested that they go to City Hall to have her papers drawn up, to officially give her her freedom. Even though she had told him there was no rush, he had wanted her to be free so that she could choose to stay or go for herself.

Now, she was a free woman, but she had still chosen to stay with Gage.

Life with him was much more satisfying than she had ever imagined. The more time they spent together, the more they got to know each other, the more Amelia realized that he was an incredible man. He doted on her, he cared for her, he gave her everything her heart desired.

But all she really wanted was his heart. He seemed to love her more than she could ever love him, and being so loved was an incredible feeling. But he hadn’t actually told her he loved her, not yet.

“This place is amazing,” Amelia said, stepping out of the transport pod that had brought them to Hugan, a tropical planet on the other side of the universe. They had traveled a couple of days, but it was different. Traveling through the universe, and how much time passed, was a strange concept that Amelia still didn’t quite understand.

Nevertheless, this tropical planet drew all her attention. It was full of fascinating flora and fauna, and Amelia couldn’t wait to start exploring. The scientist in her woke up, and she wanted to know what interesting creatures would be on the planet, what she would learn about life here.

Gage chuckled. “I knew it was the perfect place to bring you for a holiday,” he said. “Don’t feel obliged to spend too much time with me. Go ahead, explore, do what you need to do. I’ll be here when you get back.”

Amelia threw her arms around Gage’s neck, kissing him.

  “You are amazing.”

She spun around and headed into the forest. Gage chuckled, watching her go. She knew that she would be able to go back to him, and the luxurious hotel room that he had arranged for them, and she would be able to tell him everything she had seen. He would be interested, he would care.

  Because he was that guy.

Since she had started traveling with Gage, exploring new places, she had already filled a couple of journals with notes and drawings. She had been thinking about asking Gage if they could get a biology lab built into a part of the home, the part that neither of them used.

She knew that he would give her whatev
er she asked for, but she still wanted to speak to him about it. She wanted to hear his opinion.

After returning from the forest, she found Gage on the balcony. Their hotel room overlooked the jungle canopy and he leaned on the railings with his elbows, looking content.

“You’re back,” he said when he saw her and ran his fingers through her hair. “Did you have a good time?”

Amelia nodded and produced her journal, showing him a sketch of a group of spider-like creatures that she had seen scuttling along at the combined rope connected to the trees she had passed.

While she showed him, colorful birds swooped in and out of the canopy, and it was amazing to be so connected to nature.

“We should go to the pool,” Gage suggested. “I have ordered us a couple of drinks, and we can sunbathe and enjoy ourselves.”

Amelia nodded, smiling at him. Together, hand-in-hand, they walked down to the pool. They lay down on the recliner chairs, with a waiter bringing them drinks – the waiter was an alien that Amelia hadn’t seen before, but she was getting used to the different shapes and sizes she was coming across.

She sipped her drink, looking at the birds that fluttered around in the canopy, the bright colors, the two or three heads that they had, the excessive number of claws that seemed scary even though the birds were very passive.

“The creatures here are so fascinating,” Amelia said to Gage. “I want to sketch all of them.”

She explained to him how she saw the creatures, how they were put together, how it was different than on planet Earth. As she talked about the creatures, she realized that Gage seemed distracted.

“Is it okay that I talk about these things?” she asked. “Are you bored with it?”

Gage shook his head. “Not at all. I love it when you talk about your interests.”

“What’s on your mind then?” she asked. “You seem very distracted.”

Gage nodded. “Truthfully, I have something I wanted to say to you. I’ve been wanting to say it for a long time.”

Amelia nodded. She didn’t know what it was that Gage wanted to say to her, but she had something she wanted to tell him too.

  “You go first,” Amelia said.

But Gage shook his head. “I think we should say it together.”

Amelia nodded. They counted down, and on three, they both said it.

  “I love you.”

Amelia was ecstatic. Neither of them had said it to each other, even though it had been apparent in everything they did for each other. Amelia had wondered why he hadn’t said it, and it was why she hadn’t either. She had wondered if he was regretting everything between them, but now that he had told her he loved her, it only confirmed what she had hoped for.

Amelia loved Gage more than anything. Somehow, being abducted by the Saithin had created a chain of events that had turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to her. Who would’ve known? She certainly hadn’t seen it coming at the time.

  Did she miss Earth? Sometimes.

But did she want to go back? No.

Why would she when Gage had become her home?
