Technical Risk Page 13

by Sidney Bristol

He wrapped his hand around her right ankle and lifted her foot, pressing a kiss to the arch.

“I want to kiss you all over,” he said.

Diha swallowed. She wasn’t sure she’d be able to live through that, though she was curious what it would feel like to be the focus of this man for that long.

His gaze remained locked with hers as he kissed a zig-zag path up to her ankle, to the side of her calf, then back to her shin. The rest of the world faded away as he kissed a slow path up her thigh to her hip. Her body throbbed with need, and yet all she did was lay there.

He set her leg back down and shifted to her left foot.

Diha closed her eyes and groaned. It was torture. Sweet, delicious, sexy torture, but still torture.

Miles paused in his task. “Keep making noises like that and you’ll distract me.”

“How thorough do you plan on being?” she whined.

“Very thorough.” He kissed her inner knee.

She squirmed a bit, equal parts frustration and anticipation mixed inside of her.

He skimmed one hand up her right leg as he began his meandering path across and up her left thigh.

  How thorough was very thorough?

If he intended to kiss every inch of her, she might die. Or wish she were dead.

She’d never wanted someone like this. It was an all-consuming need for him that shut off all other function and thought and was completely new to her. A small part of her mind was fascinated by this.

  It was oddly freeing.

Nothing mattered in this moment except where Miles touched her next and the delicious way he made her feel. Sexy and desirable weren’t words she wore well, but with him they fit.

He pressed a kiss just above her mound. She sucked in a breath, her mind blanking out at the touch.

The next kiss landed on her mound and she stopped breathing.

Miles sat up, cupped the back of both knees and pulled her legs apart. Her eyes flew open and she stared up at him.

“I need more room,” he said.

  He was...

  No.

  He wasn’t.

  Was he?

Diha watched him lower himself so he lay on his stomach with her calves over his shoulders. She watched him kiss the uppermost part of her inner thigh on either side. Each kiss made her shiver uncontrollably.

Miles looked up at her. She’d thought his gaze was molten before. Now it seemed to make her insides burn.

“I’m going to stay right here for now,” he said.

  She swallowed.

He pressed a kiss lower, just over her clit.

The air in her lungs felt as though it froze.

Her face burned, and yet she couldn’t look away from Miles’ half-hooded gaze.

He kissed lower, his tongue delving between her folds. He slid fingers inside of her, deepening the kiss. She let her head drop onto the pillows, but couldn’t look away.

She could feel him moving inside of her, touching her intimately. The phantom feel of his kisses on her skin returned, wrapping her in a full-body sensation of him.

His fingers teased the nerve endings around her opening. She groaned and shifted her hips, hungry for more of his touch. He moved with her, doing as he pleased. His tongue stroked her, tasting her, learning her.

Once more her breasts grew heavy. Without thinking about it, she cupped them, as if she could soothe the ache.

Miles made a sound deep in his voice that vibrated through her body.

  “Oh, God,” she whispered.

His lips kissed up to her clit.

She pressed her toes into the mattress as a shiver raced through her.

He thrust another finger inside of her, stretching and teasing her while his lips gently suckled the bundle of nerves.

Her stomach fluttered and she grabbed handfuls of the comforter. Her feet moved restlessly at his sides until she found the perfect spot for them. His tongue rubbed against her clit. She lifted her hips and squeezed her breasts, never once breaking their gaze. She was under his spell and nothing else mattered.

Miles tipped his head, a slight shadow falling over his eyes, making them darker, more commanding. And then he sucked while his fingers curled inside of her.

The chain reaction began as an intake of breath that spread to her belly. The tight coil of sensation seemed to burst into a thousand pieces. Her spine arched and pleasure coursed through her. She moaned words, incoherent jumbled sounds. Each place he’d kissed, everywhere he’d touched felt as if it were a conduit, feeding the sensation back on her, making it more intense as the seconds drew on.

Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore.

She squeezed her eyes shut, the intimacy of looking into his eyes too much.

The thrust of his fingers slowed and he finished the kiss with a final flick of his tongue.

Slowly the pieces of herself settled back into place, leaving her hyper aware of the man between her legs and everything he’d just done to her.

She’d been prepared for sex, plain and simple. Not that.

But that was what she was coming to expect from Miles. He wasn’t predictable. He was more than just the handsome, slightly scary man she’d worked with briefly. There were layers to him that made him so much more. And that realization was trouble.

MILES STARED UP DIHA’S glistening body. There was no going back now. From the moment he’d really seen her a few days ago to now, she’d unknowingly reeled him in, and now he was hooked. It had been easy to ignore his attraction because of her shy, quiet demeanor. But now that he’d heard the delectable noises she made in the throes of passion.

  And then there was her.

He was a man. He’d noticed the gentle curve of her body under the flowing garments she wore and wondered what she was hiding.

  Now he knew.

Curvy was a tame word. She had that hourglass figure with proportions that should be illegal.

He carefully rearranged her legs so he could push up. Even that movement was uncomfortable considering how fucking hard he was.

Diha’s eyes remained closed. She was breathing deeply though she had released her death grip on the comforter.

He crawled up to lie next to her on his side. Part of him wanted to take her now, make her come all over again. The other half wanted to draw this out because he knew this was a temporary bubble they’d been granted. They should be sleeping. He couldn’t bring himself to be sorry that he wasn’t.

Diha rolled to face him, her hands tucked under her cheek and her breasts covered by her arms. She cracked her eyes open only a little and looked at him.

“I feel like I should say something, but I’m at a loss for what that should be,” she mumbled.

Her lips curved into a smile he’d never seen from her. It was warm, content, maybe a bit flirty. He liked it.

He lifted a hand to her face, tucking one of those wayward tendrils of hair behind her ear.

She slid her arm around him. He held still as her face neared his, not daring to breathe.

Diha kissed him, a gentle, unhurried kiss. One that tasted of her.

He pulled her to him until their bodies were pressed together.

She was so soft and small compared to him.

Her elbow pressed against his ribs as she pushed up. A sudden jab of pain made him hiss.

“What? Are you okay?” Diha pulled away.

“It’s fine.” He tightened his hold on her.

She trailed a finger from the tip of his nose down over his lips. “What’s wrong?”

He grasped her hand and kissed her palm. “A bruise, nothing more.”

Diha pulled her hand from his, then pushed his arm aside and studied his ribs. The skin was still a bit red, but otherwise the bruise was invisible. For now.

She bent her head and kissed the spot. Her lips lingered and she opened her eyes, looking at him. He was struck by the sight of her, this free creature he hadn’t known existed. He hadn’t known what to expect after the
kiss. She kept surprising him.

She kissed a few inches above that.

He rolled to his back, curious where she was going.

His need could wait a little longer.

She smoothed her hand up and down his chest, kissing him like he’d kissed her until she reached his lips. He nearly took her mouth, he was so hungry for her.

Diha leaned in until their noses almost touched. Her hot little hand pressed against his erection and his vision blurred.

“You’re wearing too many clothes,” she whispered.

Miles was incapable of forming words, but his limbs worked just fine.

He pushed up and rolled off the bed. The move was almost painful with how tight his jeans were at the moment.

  Those had to go.

He undid his jeans and shoved them down, almost groaning in relief.

Diha lay on her side, her braid draped over her shoulder, watching him.

If he could go back, the only thing he’d have done differently would have been to kiss her sooner.

He stripped out of his clothes and reached for the box perched precariously on the edge of the bed.

Miles grinned at her. “Tell your friends thanks.”

He was fairly certain she was blushing.

He got the box open, ripped off a packet and opened it. She watched him, her lower lip caught between her teeth as he rolled the condom on.

  Was that anticipation?

Miles stretched out onto the bed next to her. He was acutely aware of how small she was and that just a short while ago she’d been hurt. No matter how much he wanted her, he had to be careful.

She uncurled one arm from over her chest, giving him a glimpse of her dusky brown nipples. They reached for each other at the same time, only he dragged her the short distance across the bed to him. She curled her leg up over his hip as they kissed.

He gave into his need for her now and grasped his cock, guiding it between her legs. She groaned as he slid his erection between her slick folds. Her hips shifted and she pressed against him.

Miles cupped her ass and thrust, sinking into her.

They both gasped and clung to each other.

Her hips shifted and she squirmed closer. He flexed his hips, driving deeper.

She was hot, wet and tight to the point it was hard to think. He found her mouth with his and kissed her. She moaned and her short nails dug into his skin.

He shifted, pulling out of her a bit and thrust. She gasped and her eyes few open as their bodies fit together perfectly. There was no way to tell the brown from black anymore. Her eyes were pools of inky darkness just for him.

  “Miles,” she whispered.

“What? What is it?” he managed to get out, though words were difficult at the moment.

“God, don’t stop. Miles.” She said his name like a benediction.

Her head tilted back and she groaned again, her pussy tightening around him.

  “Fuck,” he muttered.

He kissed her and shifted his hips, grinding their sexes together. She was so wet, her body still pliant and aroused from her first orgasm. Her heel drove into the back of his thigh and she held tight to him, all while devouring his kisses.

They’d do this all night if he had his way. He’d make her come over and over again until he was branded on her memory.

He needed to be in her. Deeper.

Miles cradled her to his chest and rolled her to her back, careful to brace himself.

Her limbs wound around him and her mouth never left his.

  It was perfect.

He eased out of her, watching her face and thrust.

Her eyes opened wide and she gasped while her internal muscles squeezed him.

  So damn good.

Her nails dug into his back. He moved over her, thrusting into her with more force. She kept urging him on. Her nails dug into his back and she lifted her hips, meeting his every thrust. Her eyes were wild as she kissed him. Her moans grew in pitch. She’d been almost silent before, but now there was need in every note she hit.

Miles reached down and hooked a hand under her knee, forcing her open wider.

Diha’s eyes seemed to bulge as he thrust deeper.

Her jaw dropped and her head tipped back.

  “Oh—Miles. Miles...”

Her voice broke there at the end.

He felt her body quiver around him, coming undone at the seams with pleasure.

He kissed her mouth and face as he drove into her, harder and faster. She held onto him, her body yielding to him.

The bed creaked with his movements, mixing with the sounds of pleasure.

“You feel so fucking good,” he muttered. “Diha.”

She dug a hand into his hair and pulled him down. Her kiss was frenzied, drinking him in with such passion and need.

Under the cultivated image she presented to the world was another woman. One he was just now coming to understand. She was a beautiful, sexy as hell creature he wasn’t sure he could give up. Not after this.

Diha raked her nails down his back, then drove them into his ass.

He thrust harder, scooting her up the bed with the power of their joining. The eruption of pleasure began as a tingling sensation radiating out from the track marks she’d made on his back. It rolled up through his body.

He roared his release, wrapping her up in his arms as he thrust into her, chasing his own pleasure.

Even as the orgasm washed over him, he knew everything about this was different. To start, he wanted to do it again immediately. He never wanted a woman a second time, but with Diha he had the sneaking suspicion he’d never get enough. That he’d always want her with a greediness that might be sinful.

He wanted her, and he had no idea how to keep her.

Miles buried his face in the crook of her neck, smelling her hair and the scent of sex.

He was fucked. Royally screwed. And he didn’t want to fix it. He wanted to sort it out, find some way that meant he got to do this again. And again. And again.

He’d known he was searching for something, and now he’d found it. Diha.

  Miles squeezed his eyes shut.

There were so many hurdles, but for now he wanted to focus on how right this moment felt wrapped up in her arms.

Gradually both their breathing evened out and the sweat clinging to him cooled to the point that the room was chilly.

He pushed up and looked down at Diha. Her eyes were almost shut and her mouth curved in an almost smile. The only thing marring this perfect picture was the wound on her brow.

Miles pressed against her one last time, then withdrew. She hissed and he grit his teeth against the sensation radiating through him.

“That was fucking amazing.” He kissed her lips and settled beside her.

She sighed and rolled onto her side. “I think I just realized how exhausted I am.”

  Shit.

He’d forgotten how much she’d been pushed to do.

“Come on, you can’t fall asleep yet.” He took her hand and tugged her upright.

The frown she aimed at him said it all.

Diha didn’t want to budge, but she did anyway.

Miles stood on shaky legs and helped her to her feet.

“I, um, guess I should do things,” she muttered and turned.

He didn’t let go of her. Instead, he tugged her back around and grabbed his shirt that had wound up partially hanging off the footboard. He dropped the garment over her head. She chuckled and slid her arms through the holes then looked down at herself smiling.

  That smile was gold.

It was delighted, sated, happy. Seeing it made him lighter and more than a little hopeful.

While he would have enjoyed a naked Diha, he also knew her well enough by now to also know she wasn’t comfortable flaunting herself. Maybe, if he was lucky, that would change someday, but today wasn’t that day.

“I’m going to get my things from downstairs. Be back, okay?” He kissed her cheek then left
the room naked as the day he was born.

Downstairs, he used the master bathroom to take the fastest shower known to man and throw on underwear and shorts. He spent a moment taking stock of his bruises, and more importantly, the thin scratch marks Diha had left.

Those made him grin and he decided in the end to not put a shirt on.

He did a circuit around the house, ensuring again that the windows and doors were locked. By the time he gathered his things and headed up the stairs, he was anxious to see Diha again. As if something might have changed in the minutes since he’d left her.

Miles found her still in the hall bathroom. The door was open and she leaned toward the mirror, swiping a rag over her face. He braced his hands on the doorframe and watched her. Though she smiled at her reflection, she didn’t acknowledge that he was there. She smoothed cream over her skin and was mindful of her wound.

Somehow she’d blossomed over the last year. He didn’t know how or why, but the woman he’d first met a year ago hadn’t been half as capable as she was now.

He wanted to know her secrets.

Diha zipped up a little bag and set it to the side.

Her braid swung toward him and he caught the end of it without thinking. It was almost as thick as his wrist.

  How long was it loose?

He tugged the elastic from the end and ran a finger between the braid.

Diha held still and he felt her gaze in the mirror, watching him. He took a step closer and used both hands to carefully untwine the braid, all the way to the second elastic that bound it into a tail.

She tipped her head back and hooked a finger in that elastic, tugging it out none of his carefulness. Thick, dark waves of hair hung down past her hips. He ran his fingers through it, marveling at how soft it was.

Miles glanced at the mirror and found Diha’s eyes were shut.

He lifted a hand and pushed his fingers through her hair, close to her scalp before drawing them down the length of her hair. She sighed and shifted toward him. He tugged at the ends of her hair, turning her head just enough for him to kiss her. She started at first, but melted into him.

His dick twitched and the fresh memories of her filled his mind.

Miles cleared his throat, braced a hand on the vanity and wrestled his thoughts back to now.

“I like your hair,” he said then winced at how juvenile that sounded.
