This short story takes place shortly after World War Two.Harry, an air conditioning repairman, and his son Frank have journeyed to a fishing bungalow on the Rio Mayo, fulfilling a prior promise Harry made to his son. Frank has returned to Arizona from Chicago where he worked at a Naval hospital during World War Two. Their early-morning encounter with a Mayo Indian brings the father and son into conflict when Frank refuses to believe the man's story.
