Read Adonis Rising Storyline:
When Leah falls in love with a man who shares her interests and dreams, she knows he is the one for her. What she does not know is that he carries with him dark secrets and a past that nearly destroyed him. She tries to understand him, but he pushes her away and into the arms of another man. When this new man learns the identity of Leah’s on again, off again lover, he realizes that he, too, is involved in what could be an entanglement of the most dangerous kind. Leah looked at Jack through bleary eyes. He wasn’t sexy like the dark haired Camden, but he was attractive. “Got a girlfriend, Jack?” He took the cup from her shaking hands and sat down beside her. “No, Leah, no girlfriend.” The hurt and anger of seeing Camden with someone else rushed to Leah’s head again and taunting words flew out of her mouth. “Why not? Don’t you like girls?” “I like girls.” The smile on his lips was not appreciated by the emotionally scarred woman and she continued the taunts. “Are you sure?” “I’m sure.” Leah boldly placed her hand on Jack’s thigh. “Prove it.” In another circumstance Jack would have bedded Leah so fast she wouldn’t have had time to question his sexuality, or any reason to, but she was clearly under the influence and he couldn’t take advantage of the situation. He didn’t say a word as he watched the young woman, waiting to see how far she would go. Was she all talk or was this the real deal? Leah unbuttoned her blouse and slid the garment off of her body. “You like?” She pulled roughly on Jack’s shirt, drawing it out of his jeans and forcing the man’s hands above his head. The shirt fell onto the floor behind him and Leah teased the hair on his chest. Jack took her head in his hands and kissed her full pouty lips. Leah fell against him and swore that she would have him all night long if that’s what it took to erase the memory of Camden from her mind. When it was over, Jack asked, “Was it worth it?” Leah turned to him, shocked at the question. “What?” “You came to the bar today for one reason…because someone hurt you. Am I right?” Leah turned away from him and pulled the sheet over her nakedness. “What do you know?” she sniffed. Jack moved her hair to the back of her neck and kissed her shoulder. “I’ve been tending bar for six years. People come in all the time in an attempt to kill their pain. So tell me, who was the lucky man you wanted to be with tonight? Because I know it wasn’t me.” “If you knew it wasn’t about you, then why did you sleep with me?” “I’m not a saint, Leah, and need I remind you that you were the one to initiate this little romp?”Pages of Adonis Rising :
