Ana moved her family from Russia to Nha Trang, a beach town in Vietnam, hoping to repair her relationship with her children, eleven-year-old Ivan and sixteen-year-old Zoe. There Ana met Vo, born in Vietnam but raised in America, who had returned to his ancestral homeland in order to escape a painful event in his past. Their path to redemption turned out to be not as sunny as the tropical paradise.
