Bronwyn is a young girl in the late 1800's whose life takes a dramatic turn after she is abused by her half brother. To avoid disgrace she is sent to work as a scullery maid in a large and busy house in London where she meets the people who will change her life forever. There are the Brompton family, Hester who is the lady of the house, her husband Charles who is a gambler, drinker and womaniser and their spoilt daughter, Catherine who causes a scandal. More importantly, there is Betty, the housemaid, who becomes her special friend and without whom she wouldn't have survived the first few weeks and William the footman, her first true love. She experiences sex and passion, encounters murder and suicide and finds a hidden body in the basement. All the good and bad times she experiences help her become a sensual and passionate woman. It is a historical romance with love and passion, sadness and tragedy and fun and laughter. About the AuthorI am married with two grown up children and five grandchildren. I was diagnosed with M.S in 1987 but carried on working as a Legal Secretary until 2007 when my health worsened. I had always had the desire to write but had never had the time until now.This is my first book which was supposed to be about my grandfather but I got carried away with his fictional mother and The Passions of Bronwyn was born.
