With a daughter crippled by cerebral palsy and a son overshadowed by his sister's needs, Darcy Blake knows the heavy burden of motherhood more than most. Not only that, but support from her self-absorbed husband, Ged, is in short supply. When her daughter, Sophie, is given the chance of a life-changing operation, Darcy embarks on a furious fundraising campaign to pay for the trip to the US specialist.
