Avia was used to take care of herself and herself only, as any
warrior should. She was on her first mission on her own when
she was fifteen. More than half a century has passed since then.
She feels it is too late for her to take care of a child.

She had Arica and brought her up to adulthood, somehow, but
then they had been two to share the responsibility of their
daughter. And not to forget, it had been her own choice to
become a mother. She loves her grandson, but neither of them
chose for Putt to become an orphan.

Avia brings him along, walking from place to place in search for
missions that will bring them food on the table and clothes for
a boy that has not stopped growing.

Putt has always adored his grandmother, but her way of life
turns out to be far less glamorous and glorious than he had
expected it to be. Soon he finds out that it is a world of pain,
blood, and lies; the only world Avia knows of and can offer him.

They soon realize they need to find another solution. Though
if the two of them want to stay together, one needs to sacrifice
happiness for the other's wellbeing. Avia feels trapped.
