Read Standing the Final Watch Storyline:
America might be dead, but Nick Angriff will kick your ass to resurrect her.Lt. General Nick Angriff has spent his adult life protecting family and country from a world of terrorism spinning out of control. On the battlefield, off the grid, in clandestine special task forces and outright black ops, Angriff never wavers from duty. But when a terror attack on Lake Tahoe kills his family, he’s left with only the corrosive acid of revenge… that is, until a hated superior officer reveals the deepest of all secret operations. Against the day of national collapse, a heavily-armed military unit rests in cryogenic storage, to be awakened when needed, and Angriff is named its commander.
Fifty years later he wakes to find the USA destroyed and predatory warlords roaming the ruins. Stalked by assassins bent on seizing his command for their own purposes, Angriff has to prepare for war while avoiding murder.
Because the only wall still shielding survivors from slavery and death are the men and women of The Last Brigade.
**Review
"I'll say right here that Standing the Final Watch is excellent... The book has been finely edited; the story is cohesive and keeps moving; and the dialogue is spot on. If you're any fan of...Clancy or Greaney, even James Rollins or Clive Cussler, you're going toenjoy this book. There's just enough sci-fi to create an intelligent "What if?" scenario, and there are twists and turns enough that it'simpossible to get bored. I couldn't put the book down, and honestly, Ididn't really want to. Standing the Final Watch gets a strong 4 out of 4 Stars from me. This story is just well-told and enjoyable."

About the Author
He's the world's oldest teenager. Reading, writing, rock & roll and an awesome wife make for the perfect life. The occasional beach doesn't hurt, either. Bill grew up in West Tennessee, riding his bike on narrow rural roads lined with wild blackberry bushes, in the days before urban sprawl. He spent those long rides dreaming of new worlds of adventure. Childhood for him was one interesting activity after another, from front yard football to naval miniatures, but from the very beginning reading was the central pillar of his life. Any and all military history books fascinated him, beginning before age 8. By his teenage years he had discovered J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert E. Howard, Robert Heinlein and Fritz Leiber. College found him searching for his identity, first majoring in forestry but discovering Creative Writing and knowing he had found his life's work. In 1987, his first novel earned him a well known agent, a personal note of encouragement from the late, great Judy Lynn del Rey, but not a contract. He turned to writing history and non-fiction and was published a number of times, including in World War Two magazine. In September of 2014 he wrote the first pages of what would become Standing The Final Watch and its direct sequel, Standing In The Storm (coming late 2016). Without him knowing it, a funny thing had happened in the previous 30 years; he had become a very good novelist. His sincerest hope is that you enjoy his works and share them with your friends
