Dana Nicholas has just gotten out of the U.S. Army and returned home where he helps his mother move cross county as she has taken a new job. Planning to live with her temporarily while he figures out what he is going to do he assists her with unpacking and getting her new house in order. While putting books away in her library he discovers a hidden space behind the bookcase where he finds a strange looking necklace. After wearing it to bed he wakes up and discovers that he is no longer a young man but a young woman in her early twenties.
After convincing his mother that he was transitioned by the mysterious necklace and is not just some crackpot, he, now she, starts the process of researching who the previous owners of the property were in an attempt to find out if there is a way to reverse the process. Along the way she meets a beautiful brunette who she becomes friends with, hoping to become even better friends with, as well as a young man who stirs up feelings in her she never thought possible.
