“Toi.” He voice hoarsely called out to me.
“Yes?” I moaned pulling my finger out of my mouth and dipping it into my dripping wet pussy. I could see the hesitancy written all over his face as he stood there with his dick in his hand. I closed my eyes as I waited for him to dip off into my pussy and instantly deliver the overpowering orgasm my body has been yearning for. I heard his feet shuffling before he spoke,
“Toi,” he called my name but this time his voice was loud and clear and sounded far away from me. I opened my eyes and found him standing by the door with his pants back up around his waist. “Put your clothes back on and go back home to your man. Let him know that he has fourteen days to return my two hundred and fifty grand or I will kill you and him.” His voice was stern and the look in his eyes let me know he was serious as the fuck. He opened the door and stopped like he forgot something, “Oh and my son stays here, so there’s no need for you to look for him when you return to the hotel.” He smirked before walking out and leaving me standing here like a damn fool.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” I hopped off the table and quickly put on my clothes. My plan had backfired on my ass and now Diesel would probably kill me first and Roselina, that bitch played me! I don’t even know why I reached out that that old bitch in the first place, she always been down for her boys first.
Chapter 13
Khadi
A nigga’s head was spinning with confusion as I walked away from a naked Toi standing in the private visitation room. The old me would’ve fucked her on the spot with no remorse but my loyalty to Brooklyn overshadowed all that shit, besides Brooklyn been riding for a nigga wholeheartedly. Toi was my first real love, I cheated on her a few times when we were younger. Every time she forgave me and stood by me until I got my shit together to become a better man, I appreciated her for that but my heart now belonged to my wife and my wife only.
“Fuck!” I cursed myself for even letting Toi suck my dick. If Brooklyn found that shit out, she’d kill my ass. My baby was Lorena Bobbit about this dick.
I walked back into my pod with a mind full of evil thoughts. It was like the minute a nigga got rid of one problem a new one was on the come up. Walking straight to Zilla’s cell, I pulled back the privacy curtain. He was kneeled down with his prayer mat under him and his black kufi on his head reminding me of the rapper Kevin Gates. I stood quietly off to the side respectfully, as he finished up his prayer.
“So? How’d it go Ock?” he rolled his mat up before placing it under his bed.
“I fucked up.” I ran my hand over my face in frustration. “I mean one minute I was calling her disloyal ass out on her bullshit, then the next thing I knew my dick was down her throat.” That was enough to stop him in his tracks, he turned around to face me.
“So you fucked her?” he asked. “Khadi don’t fuck over Brookl-.”
“No!” I cut him off, “I didn’t fuck her… that was almost the hardest piece of ass I had to turn down.”
“Well, who was the hardest?” Khaddo walked into Zilla’s cell dressed in a sweat suit like mine, biting on an apple, taking a seat on the edge of Zilla’s bed.
“My wife, nigga! When she do something ion like and I have to punish her ass, a nigga really be punishing myself.” We all laughed.
“So, she just sucked your dick?” Zilla asked shocking Khaddo with his question.
“Yeah.” I sighed hard thinking about what happened less than an hour ago.
“Well, just don’t let Brooklyn find out. We all know what happened to my dumb ass.” he leaned up against the wall looking sad as fuck. “Khali not taking none of my calls at all, I can’t even check on my daughter.”
“Y’all niggas dumb risking the best thing that ever happened to y’all.” Khaddo spoke outloud but more to himself shaking his head.
“Nigga temptation harder than a motherfucker.” I looked at him like he was crazy.
“Not when you have the two of the baddest bitches walking around Miami.” He shot back quickly shutting me up. He got up and walked out of the cell leaving me and Zilla alone.
“Well, Ock, what happened after that?” Zilla asked me bringing the story back into play.
“I pulled my pants up and told her to go back home to her man and tell him they have two weeks to return my money or I’m offing both their asses.” I replied seriously.
He nodded his head agreeing with me. The minute I spoke with Maman and she told me about Toi reaching out to her and she was headed back to Miami, I put my plan in motion. I knew separating KJ from his mom was fucked up but Toi was going to learn that there were consequences to every action.
“On a lighter note, I spoke with Zo and he said Brooklyn running shit like a boss.” I smiled at the thought of my baby running my empire. “Just…” he paused.
“Just what?” I stood up from his bed reaching eye level with him. “Zo said she cut Muhammed off for being short and showed up to his store and showed him out in front of everybody there, so he thinks there will be trouble brewing there.”
I shook my head, furious at the information Zilla just dropped on me and exited his cell to go to mine for my secret phone to call home and see what’s really good. Muhammed was harmless to me but he might try his luck on my wife.
“Hey baby.” Brooklyn’s sweet voice came in over the phone after the fourth ring. Yeah a nigga was counting how long it took her to pick up the phone. I wasn’t an insecure nigga by far but jail would put some wild thoughts in your head. Plus, my shit was all fucked up after that visit from Toi.
“Brooklyn, what the fuck you doing cutting Muhammed off? I been serving him for years. You can’t stand in my place and fuck my name up.” I barked into the phone. I was angry that I fell victim to Toi sucking my dick and was channeling my anger toward my ride or die.
“First off, calm down, he was short. What the fuck I was supposed to do?” Her tone now matched mine, “I will not let them begin to think the Santana’s are crumbling, not even just for a second Khadi.”
Damn, she was right, fuck niggas thought because I was caged in they could fuck over my empire but the grooming and wisdom I had been laying on Brooklyn wasn’t done in vain. She made a valid point but I needed her to think things like this through and play everything close. See it’s not that I doubted her, it’s that as a woman she may miss some things or not think or look at things like a thorough street nigga would.
“You right about that baby girl but now Imma have to beef up your security, get Biggs on the phone.” I sighed into the phone.
“Babe, I’m good don’t worry about me, everyone is doing their part. Muhammed will think twice before he tries some shit.”
I was quiet as she continued to talk about Karlie and some damn guard dogs named Rebel and Remy that Khali purchased for them. “So, you mean to tell me that you running around the city with a damn dog by your side?” I cut her off chuckling into the phone.
“Yes baby. Can we please keep him when you come home?” she pleaded into the phone. It was the fact that she was so certain we would beat this case is what kept a nigga spirits lifted in this hell hole. The thought of how I just betrayed my wife while she out there holding me down was fucking with a nigga. “What’s up with you? What’s on your mind?” she asked interrupting my thoughts.
“Ya’ll…You, Khali, and Karlie are the only thing that’s on my mind. I need you guys to be extra cautious while we in here.”
“I don’t think that’s what’s on your mind. I know you, so tell me what’s up.” Her tone switched up like she knew I was hiding something from her.
“Be cool woman a nigga plate just full ight, but I appreciate you.” I blew a kiss into the phone trying to ease the tension on the phone.
“Yeah ummmmhmmmm” she said giving me attitude. “Anyways did you know your mother was in town? Did she come and see you?” she asked shocking the shit out of me.
“H-How’d you know maman was in town?” I questioned her thinking she knew more than she was letting on
.
“It’s my job to know everything that’s going on in your city.” She sarcastically replied, causing my heart to drop down to my stomach. “So tell me what’s really good Khadi, don’t have me out here looking stupid.”
That’s how connected Brooklyn and I were, she could sense when I wasn’t keeping it hunnid and vice versa. So the problem was she was keeping something from me too, I could feel that shit. “You right ma.” I gave in, “I need you to come see me about something.” I would never tell Brooklyn about Toi and KJ over the phone. This some shit that needs to be said in person. I needed to look in my baby’s eyes and know that she wasn’t leaving a nigga after this shit.
“Cool. I’ll see you in two days.” She said into the phone a little too calm for my liking before hanging up in my face.
I pulled the phone away from my ear and dialed my mom’s number, “Maman.” I spoke up as soon as she picked up the phone. “I need those results like tomorrow.”
“Why the wife on your ass?” she laughed into the phone. “I know you son, you not that anxious for nothing but I’ll have them rush the results but…” she paused, “There’s really no need, he is the spitting image of you.” I could feel her smiling through the phone.
Chapter 14
Brooklyn
Biggs, Rebel, and I sat in the running family Caravan that blended in with the cars in the neighborhood of Damere’s brownstone. The quietness in the car gave me time to think about possibly catching my first body tonight, but first I needed the info on who was the witness holding this case together. If Khadi knew where I was he would call the whole crew out to stop me. It was so quiet inside the van you could hear a rat piss on cotton, Biggs looked like he had something on his mind while Rebel sat still as a statue waiting on my command.
“What’s going on Biggs?” I asked breaking the silence in the car. Something was clearly bothering him and I needed him with a clear head. “Why I feel like you hiding something from me? I mean, I know your loyalty is with Khadi first but you were my first friend here when he dragged my ass down to Miami.”
“Leave it alone, Brooklyn.” He kept his head straight never making eye contact with me. Yeah, something was definitely going on, Biggs was acting different. I’d leave it alone tonight but tomorrow Khadi better have diarrhea by the mouth or it would be hell to pay.
“Anyway, I say we go straight inside and wait for her.” I brought my eyes back to the brownstone that didn’t have one light on inside. “I mean we both know you know how to deactivate an alarm system.” We looked at each other and fell out laughing, lightening the mood.
“I hear you B, but we gotta be more careful.” He adjusted in his seat looking around the quiet pitch black neighborhood for the fortieth time. “There may be an undercover watching her shit. You left your phone home like I told you?”
“Yessssss, Biggs for the third time! You more nervous than me.” I replied screwing the silencer on the tip of my gun. I could tell from the way he was staring at me he was taken back by my willingness to lay Damere down. “What?” I turned to him in the seat.
“B, you sure you want to do this? I hate to let you have this shit haunting you for the rest of your life.” He grabbed my arm and looked at me with worry written all over his face, “I can go in there and knock this out for you, sis.”
“I appreciate your concern, Biggs, but I want that bitch to see my face. I been through enough for my story to end like this. I want to be the reason my husband come home.
“Damn, I can’t wait til I meet my ride or die.” He laughed grabbing his tool bag from the back.
I smirked, “You already met her.” I winked before climbing out of the van with Rebel hot on my heels. Biggs thought nobody knew about him and Mila, I caught them fooling around one late night. Those two walk around the house day and night like we had no idea what was going on.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he asked exiting the van quickly, meeting me and Rebel around the front with his bag slung over his shoulders.
“Mila…”
He cut me off before I could go any further, “Mila and I are just friends.”
“Ok, if you say so.” I followed behind him around the back of the brownstone locating the security system.
I stood with my back to Biggs as I watched around the dark backyard while he clipped the amateur alarm and picked the lock to the back door. “This shit almost too easy,” he whispered, “Let me go in first, I’ll come back for you once everything is clear.” He held me back and pushed the door open while I stood back with my gun in my hand.
As I stood outside waiting for Biggs to come back I had to take a moment and think about what the hell I was about to do. Never in a million years would I think I would be standing outside of a federal agent home ready to send that bitch to her maker for fucking with my family.
PEW! PEW!
Two bullets whizzed past my head, my natural instincts causing me to drop to the ground for safety. Rebel ran right passed me into the house attacking the shooter.
“Arrrrghhhh!” I heard who I assume was Damere holler and hit the floor. I raised up off the ground with my gun aimed at the darkness until the light switched came on in the kitchen as Biggs came around the corner with his gun aimed at Damere who was laid out on the floor in Rebels grip. I walked inside and closed the door behind me before walking over and picking up her gun and handing it to Biggs. “Get this fucking dog off me.” She struggled trying to get away from Rebel.
“Bitch, if I wasn’t quick you would’ve blown my head off. You’re making this easier than I thought. Rebel!” on command Rebel let her go and came to my side with blood dripping from his mouth.
“Fuck!!!!!!” she hollered as she looked down at her leg almost passing out.
“Good boy…” I patted the top of Rebel’s head before pulling a treat out of my pocket and giving it to him. “The house clear?” I asked Biggs. He nodded his head, “Tie her up.”
“Are you fucking crazy? You think you can get away with this? I am a federal agent you dumb motherfuckers.” She screamed as Biggs dragged her to one of the chairs from the dining room table and tying her up.
“The funny thing is Stacy. That is your real name, right?” I stopped and stared at her but when she didn’t answer I continued, “We really don’t give a fuck. You see you did your research but apparently you missed something.”
“Oh yeah? What was that?” she challenged me.
“You missed the fact that the Santana’s are unstoppable and would go through great lengths to protect our family. Even if it means killing a federal agent.” She was no longer listening to me as her eyes widened in shock as Biggs pulled some tools out of his book bag and started laying tarp around on the ground. “You see there are a few things that we need to know about my husband’s case and you’re going to tell us.”
“Fuck you! I’m not telling you shit!” she screamed back.
“Teeth or fingers?” I looked over at Biggs, “Which ones hurt the most?” I asked.
“I believe fingers.” He tore a piece of duct tape of from the roll before placing it over her mouth to prevent her screams.
“Now, whenever you’re ready to tell us who the witness on my husband’s case is, you just shake your head if you’re still alive. Ok?” She just stared at me with tears rolling down her face.
Biggs held her fingers down and brought the scalpel close to them as she started squirming under his touch trying to say something.
“Wait!” I told Biggs and ripped the tape off her mouth, “You got something you want to say?” I asked her.
“I’m sorry, I really did fall for Khaddo but I couldn’t let my father down.” She begin to cry. “I’ve let him down too many times and if he knew that I fell for Khaddo, he would have my head. Please don’t kill me.” she cried harder mumbling something under her breath.
“What you say?” I asked walking back over to her to hear her clearer.
“I said it’s someone who was in the warehouse
that day. They’re a witness in the case. I don’t know where she is but somehow, they survived the fire with third degree burns and vividly identified Khadi, Khaddo and Zilla as the killers.”
That was bullshit which was what I couldn’t understand because Zilla was present for Ragu’s killing but Khaddo wasn’t present for either. He’s not even a killer. “You know Khaddo’s not even a killer, why arrest him?” I asked her.
“The shit Khaddo told me and what was said on the tapes, it was no way we could leave him on the streets. We would have to at least charge him with accessory to the crimes because he knew too much. When I first was assigned to this case my main goal was to take down the family, not knowing I’d fall for Khaddo –…”
“But at the end of the day you were just doing your job.” I finished her sentence whether she was going to end it with that or not. “You definitely got on the wrong case trying to please your daddy. I mean how does that make you feel that you are willing to testify against someone who had no dealings with these murders?”
“Listen, in the eyes of the law, Khaddo didn’t pull the trigger but he is just as much responsible. You all are. Now I told you what you wanted to know now please let me go.” She cried.
I picked my hand back up and raised my gun towards her skull. This bitch was talking to me like she did us a favor.
“PLEASEEEEEE NOOOOOO I’M PREGNANT.”
Pew!
I let off one shot sending blood flying all over Biggs.
“Fuck Brooklyn!” He quickly jumped back wiping some of it off his face and sending it flying down on the tarp.
I laughed, “Well, what did you think I was gone do after I put the gun to her head, Biggs?”
“Shid, ion know it’s your first kill, I’d at least thought you’d be hesitant especially since she said she was pregnant.”
