“DAD!” Thomi screamed again.

Delia pushed open the door without knocking. There, in the middle of the living room floor, was Louie’s wheelchair. It was overturned and lying on its side.

Louie lay on his back with his unseeing eyes toward the ceiling. His arms were spread out on either side of him.

“What’s happened?” Delia said, rushing forward.

Thomi kneeled on the floor next to her father. Somehow her knee rested on his chest, and in her hands was a bed pillow. The girl stared at Delia. “He’s dead!”

An ocean wave of shock roared over Delia. Thomi killed Louie!

  Of course, she didn’t!

Perhaps Thomi did kill Louie, but for a good reason.

What good reason could there possibly be? I’d better call in the Murder Club …

Thank you for taking the time to read Fools of Fortune. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I loved writing it. Please consider telling your friends or posting a short review online. Word of mouth is an author’s best friend and is much appreciated.

  Thank you!
