“YEAH WELL IT’S GOING TO GET MORE ANNOYING FOR YOU!” Weldon said. “What business does a young vampire and a werewolf have with us. Surely the Nightworth Legion and the Crimson Hounds would send more proper warriors after us.! I was really expecting Uthyxeth to show.”

“We are the best! We're’ here to stop whatever creepy insane plan you freaks have cooked up. One of those things killed a man and I’m pretty sure he wasn’t the first.” Deacon said.

“You both must be deluded! Do you really think two ants can stand against the winds of the universe. I think not! You are merely delaying the indelible! What’s done has already been done!”

“GOD! HE EVEN SOUNDS LIKE A COMIC BOOK VILLAIN!” Weldon said.

“I’d ask you what you're doing with the bodies but it’s clear you’re building an army but for what?” “It’s an army for my lord and his children. With it he will move over this world like a cancer! No one will be spared! But it matters not! I have already gathered enough corpses for my master. Enough to swallow this city!” The necromancer told them as he walked the stage.

“Master?” Deacon replied “I’ve had enough of you two! I will now remove the both of you. Me, the Black emissary of the old ones! Hail to their wonder. I will smite you in this church in their honor!”

“The only thing getting removed here is you.” Deacon said.

“IT’S ON!” Weldon said. “YOUR EMAT PRICK!” The emissary rose his staff to the sky and yellowed. “SUFFER IN HELL!”

Then The roof explode upwards into the sky but the pieces didn’t come falling back down. They were floating in the air like they were in space. Then pointed at the two, sending the pieces of debris flying down at them. The splintered wood shot at them like bullets. But then the werewolf smashed away the debris in time. Deacon leaped up and sliced through a massive chunk of the roof while getting closer. But the emissary wasn’t phased in the slightest. His staffed pointed at him again but this time, the broken pews started to lift in mid air around the emissary. Then he shot them at Deacon. The young vampire smashed them away as they came flying at him. Then Weldon leaped off the right wall and right at the emissary, but the emissary placed his hand in front of him as the werewolf got close. Suddenly the best was shot backwards into the wall like a cannon.

“WELDON!” Deacon shouted in concern. The werewolf burst out of the hole his body made.

“WORRY ABOUT ME! I’VE BEEN THROUGH WORSE!” Deacon faced the emissary as he pointed his staff at him. The staff sired this massive ball of fire at the vampire but he dodged it in time. The emissary fired several more fireballs at him, blasting holes all over the church. But he was distracted with deacon which gave Weldon the chance he needed. He picked up a table and threw it right at the emissary. He destroyed the table before it could hit him with telekinesis but then Weldon appeared in front of the emissary as the table turned to pieces. The werewolf punched the emissary right in the face, sending him flying through the church walls. HIs body smacked against it and caem flopping to the floor. But he wasn't done. The guy got right back up.

“You’re going to regret…” But before he could finish his sentence, Deacon caem leaping down at the emissary, slashing him across the face and chest. He grabbed his face in pain and stumbled backwards.

“My FACE!” Then his gas mask fell off, revealing his face was decayed and rotting.

“That's for hurting my friend you bastard!” Deacon said. “You think you can stop us! You will all BURN!” Suddenly his staff started to glow green. This caused the walls of the church to shattered around them. The building was gone in an instant, leaving them back outside. Near the emissary, this large snake like monster grew out from the ground and slithered around the emissary’s body.

“Now there’s a sight!” Deacon said. The snake msnter started to breath this green fired at them. The two moved out of the way in time but when the green fire touched a tree, the whole thing turned to ashes in just seconds.

“OH HELL!” It fired more of that green fire at them, burning more of the trees and what was left of the church. The boys were above to move around and avoid ti but the snake also made it hard to attack the emissary. Then the snake’s mouth started to light up The light was growing bigger and bigger.. It was charging for a super attack. By the looks of it, both of the boys knew it was probably going to consume everything in front of it. Then Weldon grabbed Deacon by the hip.

“What are you doing?” Deacon asked him.

“TRUST ME! I HAVE AN IDEA!” Then the snake monster fired a massive bean of fire at the two. The beam of fire was so big that it blasted half a mile of the wooded area to nothing. But the emissary quickly noticed that the boys were not there. He looked up into the sky in horror. There he saw both Deacon and Weldon leaping down at thim with the werewolf’s claws and the vampire’s claymore striking for him. He couldn’t run away or move. He tried to stop them with telekinesis but their combine strength was too much. Both struck him in the chest and ripped right through the snake monster and right through his body. The force was so powerful that his body shot over a mile through the woods thill it smashed into a brick wall. This time the emissary was stuck in the brick wall and he couldn’t get out. The two boys took a deep breath and brushed off the dust. Then Weldon turned back into his human form.

  “You ok Deac?” Weldon said.

“Me ok? YOu were shot through a wall!” Deacon said.

“Oh that’s nothing! You should have seen what happened to me last week!” Weldon said. Then Deacon suddenly noticed that Weldon was naked. His face turned red. Weldon realised this too.

“Oh yeah! Sorry! I’m too used to being around other wolves!” “Well….yeah!” Deacon replied

“Do you see anything you like?” Weldon jokes.

“I can’t believe this!” Deacon said. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t impressed or interested. Deacon took off his pants and gave it to Weldon.

  “Here, take this!”

“Giving your pants to a werewolf!” Weldon said. “Well it’s just till you get your own clothes back on. I’m going to want those pants back though!” The two walked up the emissary who was still alive or whatever his existence was called. They had on their serious faces.

  “You're finished here!”

  “Oh….please…..this has ...only just...begun….”

Then a massive spear weapon came flying from behind the two boys and hit the the emissary right in the face. The emissary stopped talking after that. The two boys were surprised but Deacon knew the weapon. The spear flew out of the emissary and back into Uthyxeth’s hands who was standing right behind them. He had a serious look on his face, just like normal.

“Uthyxeth?” The warrior stared up at the emissary. “Well done Deacon! But maybe try not to be too messy next time!” Uthyxeth told him. “That’s what happens when you deal with necromancers!” Deacon replied. “Shouldn’t you have taken him alive or something? I might know something! I mean, we were just going to kill him after anyways once he talked.”

“It would be pointless! Necromancers take what they know to the grave and beyond. He would never betray his master!” “Uthyxeth! Something bad is going on here! Dad needs to know about this!” “He will Deacon but me and the Obsidian knights are going to check this place out and look for any clues. You need to head back home.” Uthyxeth pointed to the horizon. “The sun is coming! I’ll take you myself while the others are searching. Your brother will head the intesvegatinon.” The warrior grabbed the body of the emissary with one hand. He looked over the whole area before moving on.

“You should go back home wolf. There's no use for you here. But thank you for your help!” Uthyxeth said. Deacon found it odd that he didn’t ask why he was with him. But that was not the issue at hand. Day was near.

“You should go! I prefer you to not be a pile of ashes the next time we met!” Weldon said. “Ok! Well, it sure was one hell of a first date!” Deacon said. “I do want to see you again but when?” Weldon gave Deacon his numb
er.

“Here, just call me! Do it when you are safe!” “Ok!” The sun was getting closer. Deacon and Weldon want to do more than just a goodbye but there was no time. “See you around Weldon!” Deacon said.

“You too Deac! We make a pretty good team you know?” “Yeah! The best!” Weldon went off in his own direction. “You going to he ok on your own?” Deacon called out!

“Yeah! No sweat!” Weldon ran off through the cemetery. Deacon just watched him leave with Uthyxeth nearby. “Come Deacon! It’s time to go!” Uthyxeth said. “I hope you know what you’re doing? Werewolves are wild beings!” “I don’t know what you mean!” Deacon said. “Good! Keep it that way!” The two went off for cover right as the sun rose. There was a jeep with blacked out windows made to be UV proof. Deacon went into the jeep while Uthyxeth drove. The jeep moved out back towards the city of St. Louis. “What about the other? Sonja and Slickman?”

“They went back a few hours earlier.”

  “That's good!” Deacon said.

Meanwhile Weldon made it back to his motorcycle parked at a hotel near the overpass where they met. Weldon looked at the sun rising. The sun’s rays warmed his face. He wondered if Deacon ever saw a sun rising before. He couldn't stop thinking about him. Deacon was in his head but he like it. One thing was for sure! His parents can't know about it. Then another motorcycle came riding up to Weldon. It was Luther without a shirt on. His hair was all messed up and he looked out of it.

“What happened to you?” Weldon asked him. “Everything awesome dude! Man I had a night!” Luther said.

“Did you find a woman desperate enough to get with your sorry ass Luther!”

“Man! She was incredible! I think she’s the one!” “The one who kicked you out after she was done?” Weldon got on and started up his bike.

“What about you Weldon? How as your date? Was the guy what you wanted?” Luther asked him. “NO! He was better than I hope!” The two drove off back down the interstate and left St. Charles behind. The night was over but what was coming was just beginning. In the distance, there was two figures who were watching the two werewolves ride off down the interstate.

“I find it hard to believe that the Black Emissary is dead due to those two punks. Two vermin from both clans!” “It seems that the future of both Nightworth and Crimson Hounds is quite impressive!” Said the other in a woman’s voice. “Don't patronize me! I want them both dead! They pose a threat to our plans!” “Of course my lord! Your will be done!”

  “Not mine, the Old Ones!”

It was near noon. Deacon was sound asleep back at the NIghtworth Manor. He was in his room, pass out and drooling all over the bed covers. His brother Desmond slipped in to check on him. He had a soda bottle of blood which he put on the bedpost. He tried to slip out but Deacon rolled out of bed and woke up. He still looked tired and out of it.

“Hey Desmond!” Deacon smelt the blood on the bed and rushed over to get it. Desmond sat on the bed.

“You had quite an interesting night I heard!” Desmond said. Deacon was stunned. Did he know about Weldon?” “You running into a necromancer and some cultist! We been looking into that for over a month but we never caught those guys! Well done back there by the way!” Desmond said.

“Thanks!” Deacon drunk the whole bottle of blood. “You know there's a reason why we don’t eat human food! That stuff will leave a bad taste in your mouth afterwards but what the hell right!” Desmond said. It was true but it was worth it for Deacon.

  “Whatever!” Deacon said.

“Heard you also ran into one of those wolf bastards! I figured they put their nose into our business!” Desmond said. “He wasn't that bad to tell you the truth!” Deacon said. “Maybe compared to the cultist!” Desmond said. “Where’s dad and mom?”

“They’re having a legion council with the other Night captains and Obsidian nights. It looks like things are getting pretty serious! I got to join them too! You just get some rest ok?” Desmond said. He got up and left the room. But he looked back in the doorway.

“Dad’s was proud of you when he heard you take down that guy! You were also pretty cool in the Blood FIght too.” Desmond left with Deacon passing out back on the bed.

Down in the conference room, there were a large table of different vampire captains and nobles who were waiting for their meeting to begin. The front of the table was occupied by Ishmael NIghtworth. He had a serious mad look on his face.

“Those damn bastards attacked my son! I won’t let this go on!” Ishmael said.

“I agree sir!” Uthyxeth replied. “This must be a serious matter if the legion council is called into a meeting! Is this about the Crimson Hounds?” The Night captain asked them.

“No! This matter is about something else entirely. While most of you know, St. Charles is considered a natural zone for both vampires and werewolves and we had peace. But unfortunately it allowed another scum to move into the the city! Eldritch Cultist!” Ishmael told them.

“I thought that we eliminated all of them!” One of the night captains said. “It seems more has returned and have grown their numbers. We have reason to believe they're planning something big. What ever it may be. It doesn't end well for us.”

“Why do you say that Ishmael?” One of the nobles said. “The grave robbings it seems is or was the work of a necromancer killed just a few hours aof in St. Charles.” One of the obsidian knights brought the corpse of the emissary and threw it on the table. “This one seemed to be resurrecting the bodies to create an army but the that’s not all it was doing!” Then the body of one of the devourers was brought in.

“What is it?” Helen asked Ishmael. “From what we gathered it’s a mutant undead enhanced by merging eldritch flesh with the undead monster. It seems to make them faster and stronger plus more durable.” Uthyxeth told them.

“But you stopped them right? Their army is gone?” One of the nobles asked Ishmael. “The necromancer is dead but by then, it seems he had already gathered an army of his own by then. Just a few were killed at the scene of the graveyard but no where near the number he was saying. It would seem that the army is still out there along with the cultist. They now have an army at their beck and call.”

“How many?” “We still don’t know for sure! Over 600 bodies were stolen from the cemeteries but that was just in the cemeteries in the St. Charles area and not in other places. They may have stolen bodies from other places and we would have no idea how many. Not only that, they could also use bodies from medical storage buildings or their own dead if they wanted. They could have even stolen ones from the countryside. Now you see the situation at hand.”

“I doubt they would risk stealing from the countryside past st. Peters. They would have to deal the the Crimson Hounds and cultist aren’t anymore like out there then here.” One vampire noble said.

“But there’s more too! Given the power this necromancer displayed, it's safe to presume that that mutant undead isn’t the only forces they have at they use. They could have other ungodly things serving them. If that necromancer was just a pawn then they already have powerful monsters just wanting to be unleashed on us and the human residence.” Ishmael said.

“So….what is the plan my lord?” Severance said. “It’s clear they planning something big! Probably some kind of ritual to summon something powerful into our world. But to do something like that requires mas offigeirns on a grand scale. We need to find these cultist and put them down for good! All of them, every single one of them! I won’t have another incident happen from 50 years ago and I’ll be damn if those religious freaks taint this wonderful city.

“I couldn’t agree more my lord!” One of the nobles said. “Tonight we will go hunting for those freaks and this army they have! Given that they are now on the run, they shouldn’t be too hard to find. We will have our soldiers search the streets and every corner of the city of St. Charles but do it quietly. We must keep ourselves in secretly. We do not need exposure!”

  “We mu
st also be careful my lord! I have a feeling that the Crimson Hounds might be searching for them too.” Uthyxeth said. “They love a good hunt and this might be sport for them. Our massive army running around there could also spark conflict given it’s neutral territory!”

“Then we'll just stay out of their way if possible. The last thing we need is to get into a conflict with them.” Ishmael said. “I know Shane! He may be a hard headed, crude wolf but he’s smart and knows better than to get into a pointless fight! Hopefully we won’t have to worry about him.”

“So it’s war?” Noble Erik said. “This is an extermination! I’m done with these nuts!” Ishmael said. Uthyxeth came up to Ishmael. The meeting was over and everyone was getting up

“Yes Ishmael. Is there something wrong?”

“I think it’s best that Deacon not be involved with the operation tonight!”

“Why you say that?” “It’s best not to have both sons of the Nightworth Legion to be involved in a deadly fight!” Uthyxeth told him. “Just in case!”

“Good idea!” Ishmael said. But what Uthyxeth said. Did make he remember Deacon. Deacon was in his room sleeping when he woke up again on the bed. He was worn out from last night but that didn’t mean he wasn't about to go back to see. He had turned on the TV. There was a news report just after 1:00 p.m.

“Police and the fire department are investigating a large fire that broke out ner on of the cemeteries close to the St. Peters region. The fire burned down an old church and the woods around it. Though no one was hurt, it’s left several yards of the woodland area damaged. Reports also say that this fire broke out near where certain graves were robbed and unearthed. Whether there is a connection between the two is still unknown.” They showed firefighters putting out the fire at the sight. Several police officers were roping off the graves while the chief was talking to a reporter.

“Listen, we were inform the public when we have more information. Right now we urge all citizens to keep calm and if there is anyone with information related to thee events. Please call crime stoppers at the number below. Thank You!” The news cut back on the news anchor.
