“So pretty. Your pussy is so pretty when it’s wrapped around my dick, baby. Come on me, Charisma. Let me watch you coat my dick with your cream.”

She gasped. She rocked against him, the knot of pleasure churning inside of her building until it burst. She cried out, shaking through the waves of her release. The wet sucking noise of her pussy only served to turn her on more. The sounds coming from Royce added to the passion filling her. When she glanced down, she watched in rapt awe as he covered her pussy with his cum then tucked the head in her and slammed home.

Both of them groaned. She could feel the residual pulse of Royce’s climax as he buried himself as deep as he could go then held himself still. She didn’t know how long he throbbed there, but once he began to move, the embers of her last orgasm began to burn bright. She’d never seen her mate this aroused or this out of control.

  Charisma liked it.

Like every other time he took her, she struggled to accept his girth and length. Craving a hint of pain with her pleasure today, she urged him on by clenching her channel around him.

His face twisted in discomfort. “Fuck, Oasis, your pussy is so fucking wet and tight.”

“Fuck me, Royce,” she pressed, clenching around him, knowing his weakness.

“Woman,” he barked, his lip curling in warning.

He’d only done that to her one other time when he had been enraged with her over something she couldn’t even remember. Nonetheless she knew the warning. This had been different, though; losing the control he held onto so tightly while taking her was not the same. They both knew he’d never physically hurt her. Charisma wanted him…hell, she needed him to lose control and take her like he should have the last three years. Without a case hanging over his head, without Katie, and without the pups growing her belly.

“Fuck me.” She scored her fingernails down his forearms, leaving a trail of red lines.

He howled in pleasure. “Do it again.”

She did, this time down his back. She grabbed his ass, shortening his strokes until he ground his pelvis against hers. Sparks of pure satisfaction burst before her eyes. She floated in his arms, craving every ounce of what he’d given her so far. His big body dropped over her. Charisma glimpsed the wolf he’d been careful to keep at bay with her for so many years. His eyes were an eerie yellow color, and his growls were almost a constant rumbling from deep in his chest.

Royce was a sight to behold. A beautiful mix of man and animal. He was all hers, and she knew no matter what happened with this mission, they’d be going home to Window Rock as a family.

“Mine. My pussy.” He chanted the words over and over with each thrust, fucking her harder. He increased his tempo each time he slammed home, deep inside of her. Charisma could do nothing more than lay there and happily take it. She was captivated by the muscles of her mate’s chest and arms and how they bunched and clenched as he fucked her.

Beads of sweat rolled down and off his face and chest, dropping on to her damp skin. The musky, heady scent of sex filled the room, mixing with sounds of his body slamming into her over and over again. She wrapped her shaking legs around his trim waist, pulling him down, and if possible, even deeper into her body.

Royce bent his head and captured her nipple between his lips. His face was intense, his eyes still glowing with the presence of his wolf as he sucked at the diamond-hard point. Each hard pull was a direct line to her clit.

He didn’t let up, and Charisma lost track of time. Unsure if they’d been at it for five minutes or five hours. She didn’t care. All she was focused on was his cock pushing her toward the edge of another epic climax.

Her fingers dug deep into his shoulders. So deep, she knew she’d leave marks there. Royce took her hands, one at a time, before entwining his fingers into hers beside her head. He released her well-loved nipple and buried his head in her hair by her ear. He whispered dirty, salacious words. The warmth of his breath combined with his growls only amped her up even more. He groaned and muttered a curse when a fresh wash of her cream coated him.

“Scream my name, Oasis, when you come. Let the entire neighborhood know who owns this pussy,” he whispered. “Fuck, I wish it was a full moon. I’d knot your pussy, then take your luscious ass and knot that too.”

Charisma blinked up at him. They’d never done that. He’d never shown any interest, although the other females of the pack stated on more than one occasion it was a shifter dominance thing they often did with their mates.

“Royce!” Suddenly she was afraid. Like her orgasm would rip her apart and she’d be left open and raw. She experienced the same thing in Window Rock every time they had sex. Like she couldn’t survive the torture again.

“It’s okay, I’ve got you. Jump, baby, let it happen. It’s going to feel so good. I’ll catch you, baby, I promise.” His warm breath sent shivers down her spine and settled low in her belly.

The pressure deep in her belly increased, and her womb clenched so hard she worried about the pups she carried, even though the doctor had assured her sex during pregnancy was fine.

Royce reared back and used his thumb to manipulate her throbbing clit. It was the push she needed. If she was standing on a cliff, she would have spread her arms and screamed in utter joy. Instead, as she reached the pinnacle of bliss, she screamed his name while her pussy spasmed around his invading cock. Charisma rolled her hips, rubbing the tip of his cock against her sweet spot, intensifying her building orgasm. Her toes curled to the point of pain before her clit exploded. Her release pulsed from her, leaving her a sticky, wet mess.

“Fuck…that’s so hot.” Royce groaned, pounding into her, seeking his own release. The tugging of her hair had her gazing into his pride-filled blue eyes. “I love that I can make you do that.”

She scored the flesh of his back and neck with her nails, as one release rolled into another. “Royce, please. Come for me.” She needed to feel him find his pleasure. Needed him to mark her in the most primal, hedonistic way. Only then would she feel whole again.

Royce howled, planted himself deep before bellowing her name. He jerked within her, filling her with his cum. He nuzzled her neck, groaning through his release before biting her shoulder where her mating mark rested.

Charisma closed her eyes, exhausted from the whole morning. She lay there, limp and sated. No way in hell she’d be moving any time soon. For long moments, Royce caressed her sides, easing her down from one amazing high. This part she could come to like. He stayed inside of her, not pulling out. It reminded her of better times. When she didn’t see knotting as a function. Before all the bad. It reminded her of their bond. In a way, she wished he could knot her all the time. Maybe it would help ease her mind.

“I don’t want to pull out,” he murmured. “You feel so good around me.” He retreated and filled her again. “I can’t get enough of you.”

Charisma sighed. The small tingles of awareness spread through her. “Me neither.”

“Fuck.” Royce repositioned them so she was on her side and he filled her from behind. “Not the best position, but I can stay inside you and you can be comfortable.” He threw his arm over her, tucking her against his chest while he thrust lazily into her.

  “Royce, I...”

“Shh, just enjoy it,” he whispered.

  She did too.

When his dick finally softened, he slipped from her then headed for the bathroom. Within minutes he was back with two wet washcloths. He knelt between her legs first and gently ran the blue washcloth along the top of her thighs and a quick brush of the cloth across the soaked mound of her sex. He then used the other to clean the sweat from her stomach, breasts, and neck. He cleaned her in such a loving manner that tears gathered in the corner of her eyes.

“I want to make you comfortable, but I’m not ready to remove my cum from your body,” he said before tossing the dirty cloth into the basket.

Heat filled her cheeks. “I’m not sure that’s the only thing covered.” She’d been embarrassed
by her body’s reaction to her mate, but he liked it, if the twitch in his semi-hard dick was any indication.

He gathered her in his arms, and she stopped him. “Don’t—”

Royce tilted his head to the side and cocked a brow. “What?”

“The bed, it’s ruined.” She buried her face in his chest and groaned. “I have never in my entire life been so humiliated.”

He laughed. “There’s no reason to be.”

  “Says you.”

“I believe I’ve already told you, I find it as sexy as fuck,” he said. “Besides, it’s at the foot of the bed, and it didn’t even get through the comforter.”

Royce picked her up and moved her to the top of the bed, then placed her under the covers. He climbed into bed behind her, tucking her flush to him, before pulling the covers over them.

He signed. “See, the bed is fine.”

She rolled her eyes at him and chuckled. “When we get up from our nap, you need to strip your bed, so I can wash everything.”

“When we get up, I’m fucking you again.”

  “Seriously?”

“Oh yeah, Oasis, I got time to make up for.” He slipped back into her and sighed. “I’m sleeping just like this.”

“Royce,” she whispered. “Don’t break my heart again…I won’t survive it.”

“Never again, baby. I love you.” He turned her face to his and brushed his lips over hers. “I love our pups, too. Thank you for taking such good care of them.”

“I love you too,” she said before falling into the abyss of sleep.

  * * * *

Charisma glanced at the clock as she deposited the rest of her muffin into her mouth. She was famished, and according to Royce, needed to eat for three instead of like a bird. She should happily indulge in food and not feel an ounce of guilt.

“Are you sure you don’t want me coming with you?” Royce joined her, a cup of coffee in his hand.

“Nah, I’ve got it.” She kissed his cheek. “I promised Pen we’d do a little shopping after we grabbed Liam and Riley from school. Halloween is tomorrow, and I freaking forgot. They need some costumes.” Wasn’t like she didn’t have enough on her plate as it stood. The guilt of forgetting something so precious ate at her when she wrote down her next appointment on the calendar. She couldn’t believe how quickly the time had flown by.

“Get some candy too. Looks like the people around here enjoy the holiday.”

“Already did. Check the pantry.” She grinned, washing her hands. “We’ve been invited to a party—well, the kids were. For the neighborhood. Something about a haunted trick or treating? Or, whatever.” She shrugged. “I guess they go all out around here.”

“Maybe I should shift that night and accompany my siblings.” Royce wiggled his brows. “It is the full moon, after all.”

Charisma laughed. “And scare the shit out of everyone?”

“Hey, I’d be the hit of the party and a hero to Liam and Riley.” He wrapped his arms around her. “Are you feeling okay?”

“You mean, after this morning?” The fact he woke her up exactly how he said he would was lost on her. It’d been amazing and sweet. Achingly so. A bright, loving warmth surrounded her.

He gazed down at her. “Yes, and the clinic.”

She gave a tentative nod. “I am. I’m angry at all those hateful people, but happy you were with me. Royce...” She hesitated for a second. She’d been prepared to support a child on her own. She also planned on a single baby pregnancy, not twins. “We have so much to do.”

“We’ll get there.” He tapped the end of her nose. “For now, don’t worry. I doubt we’ll be here very much longer. And, even if we are, we have this house. It’ll all work out.”

“Oh, I’m not worried,” she replied. “A little overwhelmed, maybe.”

He laughed. “You and me both.” Royce walked with her to the door after she grabbed her purse and keys. “Have fun with Pen. Tell her the good news and enjoy the afternoon.”

She kissed him before stepping outside. “How about pizza for dinner?”

  “Perfect.”

“I’ll call it in on the way home.” With one last wave, she got into the van and started for Penelope’s house.

Now that the time had arrived to tell everyone the news, she didn’t know how to do so. She suspected all of the Rafertys knew. Saber too. All of them had kept her secret, but why? She pulled up to the apartment building and passed through the security gate after showing her visitor’s pass. Penelope and her two-year-old son, Lynx, stood outside waiting on her.

The boy reminded Charisma of their father when he’d been younger. All blond hair and grey eyes. As her father aged, his hair darkened. He was now what some would call a silver fox. Lynx also looked like their mother. In the cheeks and nose. However, he had the strength of Saber, the cunning skill to scent out cookies, and the most beautiful skin tone Charisma had ever seen. Coupled with his ringlet curls, her sister was in for a world of trouble in a few years’ time.

She pulled to the curb and hit the button for the sliding door. Lynx’s seat had been positioned closest to the door. Penelope lifted him into the booster chair then strapped him in. She handed him a little tablet with picture books programmed into it then got into the passenger seat beside Charisma.

“Well, don’t you look positively glowing,” her sister said, fastening her seatbelt.

“You would too, if you found you were having twins.”

Penelope gazed at her. Charisma watched the play of emotions slip over her features until she squealed and bounced in her seat. “For real?”

Charisma nodded. “A boy and a girl.”

“That’s wonderful news! Did you tell Royce?”

“He found out,” she said. “On accident.”

  Penelope laughed. “No way.”

“Yeah,” she sighed then laughed. “Got spanked for that one.”

“Bet you did.” Her sister shook her head. “Congratulations, sis. I’m assuming all is well now?”

All was well. She couldn’t allow her fears to get the better of her. “Yes, it is. I won’t say we’re at a hundred percent, mind you, however I think we’ll get there, or surpass it.”

“That’s great,” Penelope said. “I’m glad it’s working out.”

They pulled up to the school and got into the pickup line. “Ugh, can I tell you with the exception of Hannah and her friends, I can’t stand some of these mothers.”

“I feel under dressed,” Penelope said. “They can make yoga pants look attractive enough for formal dinner wear.”

Charisma snorted. “At least you don’t look like a beached whale next to them.”

“Don’t let Royce hear you talking like that,” her sister chided. “Besides, you’re carrying two babies.”

“I am, aren’t I.” Charisma sat up a little taller in her seat. “At least they’re not vicious like some.”

“So true. I didn’t think I’d survive high school let alone college if I had to compete against the likes of them. I thank my lucky stars, Saber gave me the chance to do and be who I wanted to be, not what I felt obligated to do.” After their mother died, Penelope took it upon herself to become a nurse. Everything she did would have led up to the day when she’d walked across the stage with her RN certification and B.S. degree in Nursing.

Then Saber, bless him. He asked her if she really wanted the daily reminder of what their mother went through. If she wanted to continue to see people grow frail and die. He opened Penelope up to the idea the sky was the limit for her. She could be anything she wanted to be, no matter what. And, if she chose to continue the path of becoming a nurse, he would support her through her schooling and beyond.

“Me too.” They started inching forward. “So, we were invited to this little neighborhood get together. Haunted Trick or Treating. Everyone in our development is doing it. You and Saber should come with Lynx and have some fun before all hell breaks loose.”

  “I’d like that,” Penelop
e said. “Lynx will too.”

“Great,” Charisma said. “At least it’ll be another bright spot in all this bullshit.”

Penelope laughed. “Too true. I’ll be glad when I can sleep in my own bed again.”

  “Yeah, me too,” she agreed.

  Chapter Nine

Royce would have loved to have had more than twelve hours of happiness. However, it didn’t happen. By the time Charisma returned home from her trip, Penelope and Lynx in tow along with his siblings, he knew gut deep something happened. The complete look of fear in Charisma’s eyes—the way her pulse throbbed at her neck... She looked like she’d seen a ghost or worse.

“What is it?” She collapsed into his embrace the minute he opened his arms to her. “Is it the babies?”

She shook her head. “No, we’re fine. We’re all fine.”

“Except for the fact Holly almost saw us,” Penelope said, while trying to console Riley.

“Shit.” They were close to her. It was bound to happen, he supposed. However, if Holly had seen them, the whole mission could have been a bust. Then, they’d be back at square one. “You sure she didn’t see you?”

Charisma nodded. “Yeah. I even took the long way home just in case. No one followed.” She turned to look at Liam and Riley. “I was so nervous, but them... She’s their mother. How... How do you do that to children?”

  How, indeed.

“I wouldn’t know, Oasis. Mine is a killer too.” Royce shrugged. “But, I’ll be damned if it happens again. Tell me everything.”

Charisma started from the beginning. They’d just stepped out of the costume shop after buying Liam’s and Riley’s costumes for the Halloween festivities. “Riley was laughing because she couldn’t wait to tell you what she was going to be. She also hoped you’d help her.”

“Sure,” Royce said. “She doesn’t even have to ask. Whatever it is, I’ll do it.”

“Even if it means being a wolf?” Charisma cocked a brow.
